xxPᴇʀsᴏɴᴀʟɪᴛʏ:
Under the mask, he is a subdued level of confident, good-humored, and ambitious. By nature, he is a determined individual and set to achieve his goals, be they finding simple solutions to keeping Wooloo entertained or becoming the next Galar champion. He's stubborn (rivaled only by his mother) and can be unintentionally blunt with his comments. He's also rather secretive (comes with the trade), but can't track a lie to save his life; he'd rather divert the subject matter, if not outright ignore it.
As the Galar Rogue, these traits heighten twofold. Confidence borders on the edge of cockiness and his stubbornness has led to far more rash and foolish actions than he'd take as a civilian. The concept of living in fear doesn't exist in his bubble and he exemplifies this fact to the fullest, flirting with danger and the people who bring it with little consideration for the consequences.
xxBɪᴏɢʀᴀᴘʜʏ:
Originally from a small village in the Crown Tundra, Stewart and Aisla were childhood sweethearts. Glued to one another through thick and thin and even more so after the birth of their first son, Kincaith. They relocated sometime later for warmer climates and then some seven years later, Nicola was born.
His childhood was idyllic. His father worked primarily as a carpenter, taking up side work from time to time doing accounting for other local businesses. His mother was a busy bee with a thumb in many pies; from tending the house and farm, to maintaining her own side hustle selling goods made by hand and engaging in various volunteer work in the community.
When he wasn’t getting underfoot helping his parents or exploring with his older brother, Nicola was digging into the legends of the lands and engrossing himself in his imagination. He was and still is, a massive fan of folklore and the history behind it, entertaining himself with the prospects of being a hero. He stumbled across some family history in the process that only stoked those flames, but that’s a tale for another day.
Back on track though, it’s important to have goals and Nicola decided attempting for the championship would be his. He also figured it’d be worth it as well to really get out there and see the sights so to speak. There’s only so much to explore in your own backyard, after all.

"You’re late for your appointment by two hours and forty-five minutes. Would you like to reschedule?"
"Eh-" Nicola stifled the yawn he’d been midway through to stare at the Rotom phone hovering near his head. His brow furrowed, mouth sloped in a confused frown.
"Ya bes’ check ya’self Bixby. Ain’ no way we’re runnin’ tha’ late." Bixby was glitchy, but not that glitchy. A question mark appeared in place of the Rotom’s smiling digital one before the phone vibrated loudly.
"Recalculating!" A spinning wheel filled the screen followed by the terrible racket of dial-up. Nicky could feel the lower lid of his left eye twitching in response. They were the only ones on the train this late afternoon, but that didn’t dissuade the looming sense of judgment that some wayward soul was clearly casting. Anyone bound to overhear the conversation would question just what in the world was wrong with Nicola. Ignore the fact that there was no truth to the late claim; how could he have the balls to show up so late?. His mother clearly didn’t raise him right! Not respecting other's time and blah blah blah.
"You are now late to your appointment by three hours and twelve minutes. Would you like to reschedule?"
Nicola’s expression didn’t change. In fact, his eye twitched even faster.
"How tha’ hell have yew worked it so I’m later than ‘afore? Does that make any sense to ya Bixby?" And Rotom phones were supposed to be smart. Maybe the latest ones were, but Bixby proved to be a living testament to the opposite. ”Yer thinkin’ I’m a time traveler now? Is tha’ hill yer climbin’ and dyin ‘ on?” The Rotom returned to the default smile face, either unaware or didn’t care that a jump of 27 minutes in the span of 2 made no sense.
”Are you certain you wouldn’t like to reschedule-“
”I dannae, ‘cause we’re already here.” The young man snapped. The train squealed to a halt and he snatched his bag from the empty seat beside him, hauling a** quickly through the walkways and out the door. He spotted one other person along the way; he knew someone was listening in.
Warm crisp air and fresh grass filled Nicola’s lungs as he took a deep breath. Wedgehurst was a lot like Turffield but with less farm work and more cottage living. The familiarity was a warm welcome for the start of a new adventure.
”You are now late for your appointment by five hours and eleven minutes. Would you like to-“
”Shut yer gub, Bixby.” Nicola marched ahead for the most scientific looking of all the surrounding buildings. The rotom just buzzed still smiling as it hovered after the young man.
The lab was a very fancy-lookin’ place with its windowed walls and high ceilings. The towering bookcases paced to the brim with any and every book imaginable really helped to draw the motif of research together. Nicola ‘hum hum’ ed as he looked about. It was all very snazzy but he wasn’t here for nerdy sightseeing.
