Drew shifted uncomfortably in his seat as he finished the last Awakening story. Where was he? He should have been here by now, Drew thought. Dari stopped pacing on the floor and sat, his tail curled around his paws, eagerly awaiting the continuation of the saga. Dani was gazing into the past trying to remember what it was like to be a boy named Ja on a world ruled by women.
"Oh, come on!" Exclaimed Dria, startling them all out of their thoughts. "You're not going to end it there, are you?"
Drew seemed about to speak, when there was a knock at the door. Dria, Dani, and Dari looked up at the door in shock and Dani look down at her watch. "Who would be knocking at this time? It's 11:38 PM."
Drew might have been smiling if he hadn't been dreading the final tale that he would have to tell that night. He rose and went to the front door. After unlocking it, he opened it revealing a person covered in clothing -every inch of skin was covered and there was some sort of visor over their eyes. Dria and Dani were startled, and Dari hissed.
"Is that you Ausar?" Drew asked. The person nodded, as Dria, Dani and Dari racked their brains as to where they had heard the name Ausar before.
"Please come in," Drew said as he motioned for Ausar to sit in an empty chair.
Drew shut and locked the door and Ausar began to remove his outer garments, but Drew asked him to stop. "I'm not sure they are ready yet." He turned to Dria, Dani and Dari. "Dria, Dani and Dari, this is a friend from a long time ago. You knew him as Sailor Sekhmet of Sandstorms, otherwise known as Ausar Siang, our adopted brother." Turning back to Ausar, he spoke again, "Ausar, you knew Dria , (or rather Xandria) here as Do'zan, as known as Sailor Pasithee. Dani, (or rather Danielle), a girl now, you knew as a young man, Ja, or Chibi Sailor Leaena. We call this little guy, Dari, but you always knew him as Darius, or his full name Darius Ammun."
There was shock and interest, as they greeted each other.
Then Drew held up his hands for quiet and returned to his seat to begin the next tale.
"So, about a month after the riot on Leaena (we were still cleaning up the message that caused), we got a message from the World of Sekhmet, another World within the Court of Ra. Their signs said the time would soon be right, to find their Sailor Guardian.
"We spent the next month in Cultural Shock Pretraining. Yes, Leaena (the World) was shocking - due to Women being the Dominant Gender and so forth in their culture... however the Sekhmites were... not even quite Human- though they were quite Humanoid.
"The Ruling Class had Bronze Skin with sort of a Gold Mask-Like Marks upon their faces -around their eyes, which were Bronze colored, and their lips sparkled in Bronze as well (this was due to the fact that on their World, Bronze was one of not only the strongest Metals, but it was also one of the rarest and so, considered more valuable).
"The Nobility had Silver Skin and so forth, with a Platinum Mask-like mark. (Silver was slightly weaker and slightly more available than Bronze - so was worth slightly less than Bronze.) Peasants had Golden Skin with Reddish Marks (typically referred to as Bronze) (as Gold was very weak and very much available and so was pretty much worth less than Silver and especially Bronze. Finally, there were the very much common group with Platinum Skins with the Silver Mask Marks. As this group was far more common than any other group, and Platinum itself was so common, it was practically worthless, sadly this group was considered no more than chattel.
"In this World, the planet itself was their Mother Goddess, known as 'Mother Sekhmet' and was the Goddess of War and Peace, as well as Sickness and Health. It was 'well known' that 'she would often choose for her Guardians, the orphans of those who had died fighting in the Wars, or of those who had died combating Sicknesses' 'to be a Cure for the War, or the Sickness', which strangely often was the case."

Turning to Ausar, Drew commented, "I apologize for doubting your beliefs, Ausar. I know even now you believe in Mother Sekhmet." Ausar nodded his cloaked head but didn't reply.
Drew started again. "So when we arrived, they brought all the orphans before Aker and Basket. There must have been hundreds, but only the ones who were considered eligible were put before us - that is their parents died fighting in a War or combating Sickness. They started with the ones that were 'important' - Bronze Skins, or Royalty. There were only two of them, and neither of them were even close to housing the Sailor Guardian.
"There were forty-eight Silver Skins, or Nobility and as we came to the end of their group (not a one), the murmuring began. There were over four thousand Gold Skins - Peasants and as we were nearing the end of them, I overheard a Silver Skin comment to a Bronze Skin how scandalous it would be if a Platinum Skin (Slave Class) held the Sailor Guardianship.
"Just then, Aker called a pause. He sensed the Sailor Guardian of the World of Sekhmet nearby. Basket stopped what she was doing and came over. Together, they found their way to a young Gold Skin man about 15 years of age - about 3 years older than Etamin and Pasithee, and about 7 years older than Leaena. His name was Ausar Siang, and his parents had died fighting in the Peasant Army, protecting the planet when he was only 5 years old. He currently worked as a Tailor's Apprentice.
"Aker greeted him, as he offered the Henshin Pen, "Greetings, Sailor Sekhmet!"
"It later became clear, that as a Gold Skin, that as long as Sailor Sekhmet did his job as a Sailor Guardian well, the Sekhmites didn't care one ounce about their Sailor Guardian. He couldn't even read - and as a Gold Skin (Peasant Class) his World didn't care and was against him learning how. Somehow, they expected him to live, but no one would give him a job - as the Senshihood was 'the only job he should care about now', but neither would they pay him for it or supply him with food. ("You're the Senshi now. Begging is beneath you".)
"At that point, Aker and Basket welcomed Sailor Sekhmet into their rapidly growing adopted family; their natural Kitten, Darius Ammun (Dari), Hapii Merii (Etamin) (Me), Do'zan (Pasithee) (Dria) Ja (Leaena)(Dani) and his Bond and Senshi Squad, and some others, and they were nice enough - when Aker and Basket where around.
"Etamin insisted that he learn to read and helped him but was somewhat arrogant about it. Most of them, including Etamin (me again), Pasithee (yes you Dria), and a little bit Leaena (yes you too a bit, Dani) were pretty much pompous jerks when Aker and Basket weren't around. You see, Etamin and Pasithee were at 15, basicailly Commander-In-Chiefs of their Worlds' Combat Troops, and advisors to their Pharaohs. Leaena was leader of his Senshi Squad. Sekhmet was just a single Warrior with no one to Command and couldn't even read and therefore 'didn't deserve the same respect as those in Command and thus they would order him about. (Leaena wasn't as bad - see, as Senshi, he rightfully should have had the Position of Warrior Prime on his World and been in command of every Warrior on the World with the exception of the Pharaohess. Instead, as the youngest SON of the smallest Micro-House on a World of Women Warriors with Harems of Husbands - it was obviously he wasn't taken seriously. So, he was more lukewarm.)
"But Family was Family and Allies were Allies..."

"Ok I'm guessing that the previous Sekhmet died at some point - so who Awakened you, Sailor Sekhmet and how did you and Daddy meet up again? And why are you calling him by his previous life's name, Daddy?" Dari asked.
"Daddy?" Everyone could hear the question in Ausar's voice.
Drew threw his hands up a little, "I'll explain later about the 'Daddy'." He sighed. Ausar turned to Dari. "Why, Aker, your father, Awakened me, just like Etamin..." He now sighed, "Drew said."
Dari frowned. "My father is dead." He commented flatly.
Ausar nodded. "Then how?" Dria and Dani asked together.
Drew nodded to Ausar. "It's time."
Ausar nodded once more and began removing his outer garments. His Gold Skin rang out.
The others gasped.
Drew said gently. "You see, he never died. He survived the great tragedy we all died in, just as you did Dari, then became trapped on his own world as Chaos fed on it. While he watched his people die, his World kept him alive long enough to get help, and here he is."
