Peppermint candy cane. Ever since Ingrid had accosted him that night, he'd been on the lookout for her. He needed to find her, speak to her, let her know what her sister was up to. He wouldn't allow some selfish sibling to eradicate a family over their own choices about the future, not after having been a victim of it himself. As much as he desired more people in the Negaverse, he didn't want someone else to go through what he did. He found her easily, far too Christmassy for the season, and walked up to her in the open, hands up in the universal sign of peace and/or surrender. (Hopefully she'd take it as more the peaceful/trucey way than some kind of surrender). "Hey. I need to talk to you," he said quietly.

Godiva tried not to jump startled. She'd felt the signature but hoped it'd just . . . go about their way. Not actually expecting whoever that signature belonged to -- was going to want to talk to her.
"P--- oh uh . . . " She paused he wanted to talk, she'd stopped herself from calling . . . wait that wasn't even how her attack name started. She sighed the tension in the house had gotten to her and was bubbling over into her own mind. Rubbing her temple as she tried to process all the insanity.
But she didn't want to get between her sisters -- and she'd just finished talking with Dasha about something that made her head spin and she wasn't really sure what was going on beyond something about joining the dark side. Surely it was just a silly notion that would pass when her twin cooled off from the fight with Kata.
"Sure???" She paused after she'd kind of composed herself, "Do . . . you all just usually want to talk or is that -- I thought we were suppose to fight each other something?" Her cheeks were flush with embarrassment.
She was a terrible senshi. Terrible. Her sister was always the one willing to throw fisticuffs first. She just kind of followed . . . suit?

He smiled a bit, not to be condescending, but because it was just... kind of cute how she clearly didn't expect him to be asking for a quiet talk right now instead of fighting. "Hah, no, normally we want to fight," he said, dropping his arms. "I would, too, if it weren't for what your sister Ingrid told me." He gestured to a nearby bench. "Would you like to sit down? This is going to be kind of a tough conversation."

The embarrassment tripled when he mentioned her sister. She let out an exasperated sigh and drug her hand across her face. "Oh god, what has Ingrid done now?"
Clearly this wasn't what she was expecting or wanting to hear. "I think I'd rather just fight. . . . but yes . . . I need to know what she's up to." She was swatting away thoughts very animatedly.
"Heaven forbid she's actually causing trouble or something more serious." Godiva muttered as she settled down still trying to figure out what their talk was about earlier though she had a feeling this fellow was about to help clear some things up.
"Oh by the way, I assume she's already told you my name. But . . . in order of proper introductions. I'm Sailor Godiva, Senshi of Peppermint who obviously sticks out like a sore thumb in summer." There was a stressed chuckle at her own joke and a smile trying to make the best of whatever this situation was.

Monoceros chuckled at her reaction, sitting down next to her and smiling awkwardly. God, this was really weird, but he was determined to do this. "I'm Sailor Monoceros, Senshi of Porcupines. Universe assigned furry," he joked back with her, reusing his joke he'd used on her sister and hoping they had a similar sense of humor. He inhaled slowly, looking up at the night sky. "Okay, so, she told me she was going to corrupt, after she attacked me for no reason thinking I was someone else," he said, snorting, "And... I encouraged her. Until she said she couldn't live without you." He looked back to her, in her face. "She said she would knock you out and force you into the Negaverse with her if she had to, and I'm here to beg you: do not let that happen to you. Come willingly. Please. Because the consequences..." He shook his head and sighed. "They really suck."

Godiva chuckled at the joke. "Ahh, if only the universe was so kind. I think my sister would've liked me better without peppermint as a sphere. She loathes peppermint."
There was a brow lofting when he spoke of Ingrid wanting to corrupt. The same thing that she'd said earlier. Ugh. . . "I wish she wouldn't be so rash . . . "
Godiva sighed as she listened. "And that she'd do. I have no doubt she'd drag me kicking and screaming for a promise she made in the heat of a moment that meant nothing to anyone but her."
She sighed softly tucking her legs so she was sitting cross legged on the bench looking at Monoceros. "Have you dealt with those consequences?"
She asked carefully and looking sad a bit as it sounded painful. "I hate to ask you as it seems like a sore subject . . . but what happens if you're not willing to be corrupted?"

"I have," he said quietly, sighing a bit. "You're forced to leave an entire life behind. I woke up feeling completely empty. And afraid. And I trusted this a*****e who said he was my brother. That he'd saved me. But I felt a disconnect. Nothing quite felt like my own. I felt... puppeted. Static in my brain." He still felt that way on occasion, but it was much better now. SO much better. "He did a lot of awful things to me since, as well, so maybe I just had a totally s**t brother and your experience would be different, but..." He gave a long sigh. "I've heard a lot about how the corrupted senshi that come by force often commit suicide if they aren't guided right. So... I advocate for non-force." He reached out and laid a hand on her shoulder. "Your sister is completely determined to corrupt. She bitched me out for trying to talk to her and tell her that you... wouldn't be you, if she forced you to come. My advice is to just... let it go. Get your affairs of this life in order and cross over with her. That way, you can more easily get used to being with us. You seem nice, and I don't want you to lose that because your sibling thinks they know better. It really sucks." He took a deep breath and let it out slowly, something inside him feeling pleased with how the conversation was going. "It's not so bad for me now, but for several months, I... I was completely lost. Empty. Shattered inside. And then angry. So, so angry. It burned out really quickly, and left me more empty than before, and I almost killed myself. Then Ashanite—you'll love him, he's an amazing guy—he did something that helped me a whole lot. I've only felt echoes of the pain I felt at the start every once in a while, ever since he helped me out. But it was a long and hard road to get here, and while I'm happy now... It's better to have acceptance from the start, with people who love you still from the start, and don't have some kind of agenda over a you who knows nothing. You can still make your own choices."

Godiva sat there listening her eyes were on the ground as she listened that sounded. . . . terrible. "I . . . wouldn't blame someone. For falling to suicide if they felt so lonely."
She sighed, "I wonder what happened to our brother. I think that's not helping her and her split second choices."
The fact his brother sounded like a terrible person as well didn't make her feel any better. Dasha wasn't a terrible person; brash, brazen, flippant among other things. But she'd never directly harm anyone. . . . at least Godiva hoped not. "Oh . . . I hope this corruption thing doesn't bring out the worst flaws Ingrid has more than she exhibits now. I don't think I could keep her in check."
She paused when he said Ashanite; "How - - could I find this Ashanite? I - - think I'd like to talk to him too. I don't want to say I don't trust the one who my sister gave her promise too. But I . . . how could you trade two such vastly different things? I get it to her it's a life for a life . . . but this . . . it's like she's promised two lives for one -- that might not have even honestly been saved because of her sacrifice. At least - - - that's what it's starting to sound like. And that's just terribly selfish."
Godiva used air quotes around sacrifice. She was very unsure about her sister's ideas and wanting to corrupt but Godiva knew she wanted something - someone to lean on when her sister was causing her too much grief. "I -- don't want to be a shell of myself but . . . I don't agree with what my sister's gotten us into. I'd like to go ahead and network a support system; with you included if this is how this is going to go."
The thought honestly made her sick what would their parents do -- losing two more children but there wasn't much of another way that Godiva could see it. "I'll have to try not to fight it if that's really how bad it is if your forced."

Monoceros nodded slowly in understanding, sighing softly. "Well, please do choose to come with us," he said, smiling a bit, though it didn't quite reach his eyes. "I'll be here for you. We all need friends, yeah? And if you are force-corrupted.... I'll still be there for you. Just more annoyed about how you got in with us." He chuckled a bit, standing up. "You would do well with us, I think. Please consider it. Especially so you don't put yourself through unnecessary pain."

"Please do - if I end up force corrupted . . . . remind me that I thought my sister was a pain in my butt and super brash." She paused, "Oh and how dumb I was for not listening in the first place."
There was a half chuckle. "I'm . . . going to do more research, I'm glad I'll have friends regardless. To keep me grounded. I think . . . I'm going to need it forced or not."
She stood up as well, "Well . . . thank you for your help you've given me a lot to think about. I'm going to try and do some more research before her deadline . . . comes around. I hope I'll see you again soon! At least with a more cheerful disposition on this insane roller coaster ride my sister's gotten me on."
