Nectaris might have been the kind of person who got excited about every little thing that crossed her path, but the things that she was truly passionate about were a little bit more few and far between. Parkour was definitely on that more exclusive list.

At the very least, sick magical flips off of buildings were.

Maybe it was 'cause it brought her back to her cheerleading days, which were the main thing that she could remember right now. Maybe it was 'cause it was just really, really cool and she wanted to try it.

In any case, when she got close to the Order aura she'd been vaguely following, and when she showed up just in time to see that, she let out a loud cheer and clapped her hands in front of her chest.

"Yeah! That looked really fun," she said. "Also, awesome. Ten out of ten."

She knew she was looking at some kind of Knight, but she didn't know what planet he'd be from or anything. He looked kinda lavender, and she stepped closer to get a better look.

"And yeah, hi! I'm Nectaris, the Moon Knight," she said.

Nectaris puffed her cheeks out for a second as she considered, glancing up to the roof of the building he'd just tossed himself off of. "I mean, yeah, on top of being cool, I bet it'll be super useful! If you see someone being all evil, you can get the drop on them but also look totally awesome doing it."

It was about then that she looked back down to his outfit, and she saw his little moon buttons, just as he was saying that he was a Moon Knight too. Okay, a Moon Page, but it was basically the same thing.

Nectaris's grin got bigger. Her eyes had already been wide, watching his tricks, but now they were sparkling.

"Yep. I'm definitely a Moon Knight," she said, and twirled, as if that would confirm it. It wouldn't. Most of the symbols were on the front of her outfit, but she liked spinning anyway, and watching her butterfly cape and her skirt flare out. "I talked to the Code."

She only remembered a little bit of what it had said, since she'd still technically been in the Negaverse when it was offering her the Wonder and everything, and those memories were gone now.

"You sound kinda surprised. Are we supposed to be rare or something? You're the first other Knight I've met."

There was technically Basiluzzo, she guessed, since she knew that was Richard's secret identity, but it wasn't like they'd hung out powered up, or talked about Knight stuff.

Nectaris looked at the discus he was holding, which, it was true, was not nearly as impressive as her moon staff. It wasn't like she was about to say that, though. That'd be rude.

"I mean you could probably punch someone if it came down to that," she said with a little shrug. She wasn't usually the type to encourage violence, but this was a war. Sometimes, stuff happened, and you had to be ready for it. "As far as I know, the Lieutenants in the Negaverse have crappy weapons, too, and no magic, so it shouldn't be too dangerous to fight them, but they still drain energy and do all that gross stuff the Code wants us to stop."

There was a slight pause as she fiddled with her staff, trying to decide if she should say more about what had happened, back when she'd been meeting the Code. She probably should. It was gonna come out eventually.

"I dunno how much I can uh, explain? Like, if you still have questions? I'm kinda new, too."

She glanced from her fancy staff to the cape that marked her rank. "I just. Uh. Purified."

"Purified. Me," she admitted, her eyes sweeping down for a second there to look at the tiny bow on her mary-janes. She wasn't too embarrassed about her past, but it was hard to be happy about the fact that she'd gotten all caught in in an evil organization, and corrupted people, and messed with souls.

"I don't really remember it, but apparently I was pretty invested in the Negaverse there for a while. I mean, I was a General. I got out in the end, though, with the Code helping me."

Plus Ganymede, and Cosmos. It had seemed like a pretty big production when she'd woken up to see a bunch of very powerful beings surrounding her.

"Now I'm just trying to figure stuff out, like, see what people I can get to follow me out, or if there's people I'm gonna have to go full scary magical girl on. It's kinda nice meeting you. I lot of the other people I've been talking to seem like they've got it all figured out already."

There was a slight pause before she asked, genuinely curious, "So, like, if you didn't purify, how did you become a Moon Knight?"

"You look so surprised," said Nectaris with a little giggle. It was a different reaction than what she usually got. Everyone else she'd been talking to lately just saw her as That Person Who Used to be Sylvite.

She knew that she had a reputation, so it was probably going to take a long time for people to just see her as Nectaris, as a normal Knight, if it ever got to that point at all. It was nice to know that at least the bad stuff that she'd done wasn't written in her face, or in her clothes, or something.

At least to strangers she could look like herself instead of like her past.

"That's so cool, though, what happened to you," she said bouncing up onto the balls of her feet and shifting most of her weight over onto her staff. "Like, first off, you're a hero?"

That alone was impressive. It wasn't like she'd ever stopped a purse snatcher. "And then the Code decided to make you a magic hero? You totally deserved it. I'm glad the Code saw that in you, but then, it seems pretty smart."

"Oh, I mean, I'm not saying I'm not a hero," said Nectaris. "I'm totally a hero, and, like, if I don't count as one already, I wanna work up to it. I bet saving someone from being tortured gave me a pretty good head start, though."

For a second, she puffed out her cheeks, thinking. Whatever she'd done in the Negaverse might have counted against her being a hero. She might have stuff to make up for with good actions before she could call it official, but she'd try. She'd try so hard.

That wasn't the point right now, though. They were talking about Spei. "But, like, you're totally a hero, too. We can all be heroes!" Just smiling wasn't enough anymore. She started bouncing forwards and back on the balls of her feet in excitement. "Which is good, 'cause we're gonna need a whole lot of heroes to fix this city."

She went quite for half a second, then asked, "So, like, you wanna try out that learning-the-ropes-together-thing? See if we can find some youma, or something?"

"Yeah, all the heroes," said Nectaris, and glanced up for a second to where she could see the moon glowing above them. "Maybe the Code can make it like Oprah, you know? You get to be a hero. You get to be a hero. Everybody gets to be a hero!"

She pointed and wiggled her fingers at an invisible crowd.

She had to say that it sounded like a pretty great idea, though. If everybody was a hero, nobody would have to worry so much about getting attacked by a youma.

For now though, it was up to her and Spei to keep the streets clean, so with a grin, she bounded off in the direction that she'd been going before she ran into him, glancing over her shoulder to make sure that he was coming, too.
