Continuing on from the previous stop on his "Tour de Future Homesteads," Wellspring was coming into this one notably on the pessimistic side. For one thing, it was far. Like... -really- far from the Lake, much farther than he'd expected and what was probably acceptable to allow trips to Aurelia's family on a whim. There were only two key prerequisites for their future home, and already, this one had failed where the previous village had succeeded. And there was something else... Something more important (at least to him).
There were so. Many. Damn. Faun.
Walking through the village, he found himself uncomfortably hiding his clawed hand behind his back and shrinking to the sides of the path, averting his eyes whenever another faun passed. Oh Earthmother he recognized some of them! What if they told the Leadership... Or worse... What if they told his mother!
Yes, Wellspring was being terribly self-important, but he wasn't aware of that. He was just aware that nope, this wasn't gonna work. Why was he even still here?!?

Feralheart had been on a brief break, there had been an influx of newcomers to Breeheart looking to settle down and help grow the tiny town. It made his heart swell with pride at what his children had managed to accomplish while he and his wife dealt with.... wel things. But now as he was walking around, gandering at what had all popped up, he noticed another new face here, looking awkward, uncomfortable and clearly feeling out of place.
Clearing his throat, the tiger striped alicorn made sure the other saw him as he walked over to greet him. "Hello there, new here I take it? May I help you with anything? Forgive me but you look quite lost." he added, hoping he wasn't being too rude. His fur was scraggly from events past though despite some tired looking eyes, his smile was warm and friendly.

Oh no. Wellspring swallowed his own spit as he accidentally made eye contact with another fauny somewhere across the way, and though he quickly averted it, it was too late. It was clear from his peripheral vision that they were approaching. s**t. He glanced to either side, but there was no way he'd be able to casually dip from here. Hopefully he wouldn't be recognized - his hair color and claw were pretty damning traits when he wanted to be on the downlow. He just needed to be casual. Casual, not awkward. Just some small talk and then he could bounce. He could do that much.
"Oh... ah... h-hello." Smooth. Absolutely nailed it /s.
"Ah, no..." his voice may have been an octave higher than normal, and he failed to maintain even a semblance of eye contact. Though he did keep that awkward smile on. "...just, uh... passing through... Just need to find an inn and... uh... I'll be back on my way in the... uh... the morning..." That was if his anxiety didn't kill him first.

A visitor? Well, Breeheart was used to those as well and all were welcome really so Feral simply smiled and nodded. "I see, I do hope you enjoy your stay here, even if brief then!" he chuckled a bit before extending a hand out in greeting. "I'm Feralheart, head woodworker and security." he smiled, hoping to not make this fellow even more nervous than he already seemed.
Being not really of the tree and from a different 'race' of fauny, he had no clue who this new comer may be related too and he quite frankly didn't care. "As for an Inn, the community center has spare rooms upstairs and all day breakfast bar on the first floor. I can get you set up if you'd like?" he offered, turning slightly in the other direction to gesture at a larger building that had a few patrons streaming in and out.
