Now the most important people in his life knew the double life he was leading. He didn't expect them to also be living a similar life, just on the other side. Either of them. It made this all the more imperative. Now Kor would be able to help protect them. He wasn't sure he was going to fight again unless forced, but he could hopefully end up as something with a helping hand with being a silver tongue. (Kor really didn't know what this entailed, swapping to the other side.) This was the spot where the other two had told them to go. He turned himself into Rutile, hopefully for the last time, and looked up into the sky. He remembered what someone said about just feeling so desperate to change. And that's what he was feeling -- desperation. He didn't want to do this anymore. He couldn't be a part of the Negaverse anymore, especially when he knew identities now. He wouldn't be a part of their demise. "What the hell do we do now?" Rutile looked over at his counterpart, heart pounding in his chest. Quail and Dionysus had opted to stay on the sidelines for this. They didn't want to be a distraction when they knew how highly strung these two would be. Deep down in his soul, he was screaming for anyone to help him.

Alexandrite shrugged vaguely. "... They said she's suppose to feel it right? Our... want to change? The one whose suppose to help us." The taller man wrapped his arms around the Captain's shoulder's idly, watching their other companions a short ways away. "...The kid is going to put a path in the sidewalk if he keeps pacing like that..." He muttered lightly, gaze following as... Dionysus was it?, paced a small section of the sidewalk. Quail sat not to far from him, every now and then one would look over and give a small wave. Alexandrite glanced down at Rutile. "... You do realize... We're still part of this... Our uniforms might change but..." They were still part of this war... And now, it was made all the more daunting knowing the boys were too. They could get hurt... They all could. "This is nothing like the gang...." He muttered, leaning a little bit of his weight on the Captain. "I hope this person can help us... I don't much like the thought of anymore people noticing our signatures..." Alexandrite didn't want to put anyone at risk.

It was a still night in Destiny City, like there was something odd in the air. Maybe it was just the nerves or the tension. Maybe. The stars seemed almost dull tonight, like the light of the city was swallowing up everything in the vast expanse of space. Cosmos’ arrival was almost easy to miss, unless you knew what you were looking for. She was small in the sky, no more than a shooting star. She shimmered, and the soft colors of the rainbow were easy to miss. She crossed the distance of a universe in what might have only been seconds. It was a heavy burden, to be so connected to so many starseeds. But, she arrived when called. Tired, but regal, she seemed to manifest before them without ever really landing. She stood tall and proud, and held onto her staff tightly as she looked at the two in front of her. “Are you safe?” she asked, first and foremost. She might be able to hear starseeds, but not always intention. She was ready to do all that was necessary, but she needed to be cautious. She couldn’t risk a sneak attack. She couldn’t leave the Cauldron unattended.

When Alexandrite looked over to the pair in the distance, Rutile did too and gave them the smallest smile he could. He didn't want them thinking he didn't want this. He knew, deep down he did, there was just so much going into it, so much he could lose. "Yeah, that's what... everyone said. The ones who can help are supposed to be able to like... hear our star seeds or something." God, Rutile forgot how much he hated waiting on other people when he wanted something done now. Get this over with, and be able to finally, fully relax. "It's nothin' like back then. Despite risking my life back then too, I wasn't as scared as I am now." The only time he had been was when he thought he'd lost River. But then almost out of nowhere someone was standing before them and to tell the truth? She was the most beautiful woman Rutile had seen. His mouth was agape as she asked if they were safe and it seemed like his brain was rebooting. "Yes," he said, barely managing to get it out. "For now, we're safe. Wh...who are you?"

Alexandrite glanced down at the Captain, as if sensing the other's distress. "You will not lose him." He said quietly. "He's fought for you all this time. I don't think he's going to stop now... Hell I'm pretty sure he'd follow you to hell and back. We all would." He gave the shorter man a gentle squeeze, hoping he eased his worries, instead of adding to it. Then suddenly there was just someone before them and Alexandrite had to admit that he jumped. He wasn't sure what he had expected, but her just... popping into existence definitely wasn't it. "Cosmos..." Alexandrite supplied when the other had asked. "Her name, I mean. She's Cosmos." He couldn't remember where he'd heard the name. Probably from some passerby in the castle. "We uh, we need a way out."

She looked between the two of them and nodded. “I am Cosmos,” she confirmed. “Keeper of the Cauldron and shepherd of all starseeds.” There must have been some assurance there, that they knew her. They were asking for help. “I can assist you,” she assured, calm and certain. There was no doubt in her heart that she could help guide them out of Chaos if that is what their hearts were set on. But, she would not do that blindly. Her staff flickered from her hand and she seemed to have decided she didn’t need it. “It is not painless. The Chaos is not forgiving. It will try to bind you to it, to cling to you. You will lose something of yourself, it always takes something. Memories will fade as the Chaos does. Not all of them, but some.” Sometimes it was a blessing. Sometimes it was a curse. She extended a hand to each of them. “But you will have freedom. This is your choice. And, if you are ready, I can help you now.”

"It was my choice to sign up for this side years ago," Rutile said, looking at this ethereal woman before him. She seemed honest and trustworthy, but at the exact same time, overworked and exhausted. It reminded him of a mother, really. "A little pain's no issue if it means.... being free. I'm tied down. Scared to move at all. I'm hurting the ones that need protection..." Innocent civilians shouldn't be used as fodder, even if it's their energy level. It wasn't always harmless, taking their energy, especially when he'd seen some take the star seeds too. There were a few choice memories he would want to forget. Some he wouldn't. He probably wouldn't be able to pick and choose which ones, would he? Ah well. Such is chaos. She extended her hand, and Rutile reached out, grasping her fingers almost delicately. "I've been ready. Please, help us."
