As a Captain, Marialite knew she had lots of responsibilities. Lots of things to do, lots of places to go, lots of things to see. People to look after, energy to drain.
Enemies to destroy.
There were times when Marialite was chatty and sweet and playful, but today...today she wanted to fight. And so when she sensed a Super Senshi aura, she booked it towards it--always fun to play with someone on her own level--bounding from rooftop to rooftop until she spotted a pretty girl in white below her.
"Hi there, lovely!" She shouted, launching herself off the roof with her blades out and pointed down. "Wanna dance?"

For a moment, Keiko thought it was Lilith calling out to her. Sure the aura was…different but it was the same strength, and she wasn’t really paying all that much attention. When she looked up, grinning and expecting to see the green haired corrupt…but instead saw a twin braided she devil flying at her like a torpedo, the grin slid off of her face, replaced by an expression of surprised horror.
“...What the s**t?”
She tried to get out of the way, but one of the blades sliced down her arm, causing a long, yet thankfully shallow cut on it.
“What the actual s**t. No, I wouldn’t mind dancing, but this isn’t any dancing that I’ve heard of. Crazy.”
Truly, she held no hatred in her heart for those on the other side of this war. She always tried to keep that as part of her very existence but…when they attacked without warning…
Well. She wasn’t without protections.
“If you want to dance, I suppose I am obligated to play a little. Freeze.”
Noir Songbird Keiko draws in a deep breath after saying the name of her attack and blows it out, towards an opponent. The breath comes out a pale, icy blue and can travel as far as five feet away, in a cone that is five feet wide. The attack can only effect one person, and that person will feel a sharp, bitter cold as though they have been outside in sub freezing temperatures for a little too long. Once struck by the cold breath, the feeling of freezing lasts for thirty seconds.

Marialite laughed, loud and reckless and bright. There was no denying that she enjoyed fighting--it was in every line of her body, and in the way that she bounced when she landed, and even how she sighed when she realized she had barely done any damage.
"Oh, it's only the best dance there is," Marialite said. "I'm shopping for a new nemesis, you see, my old one got brought over to our side, and that just doesn't work anymore, so, y'know, gotta try and see if anyone really clicks." She sighed, dramatically.
Alas, so far, this option did not seem to be clicking.
She blinked, and she knew, really,t hat she was being hit with magic--but it didn't stop the sudden shock of cold that made her fingers go numb and her knives slip from her grip as she wrapped her arms around herself and shivered.
"Ooooh, brutal," Marialite said, and then she bounced forward again, doing her best to ignore the cold. She had to keep fighting, had to finish what she'd started--so she pried her arms away and ran forward to throw a punch. Nothing was good for warming up like exercising, anyway.

Keiko huffed, but had a small smile of her own as she took the punch right in the shoulder. “So…You want to be my nemesis? All right. I can do that, I suppose. It could be fun.”
Perhaps not the right reaction, but. It was something new, and a nemesis could turn into a friend with enough care and work.
“I’m honored you think I’d be a gd nemesis, but look, don’t you think that we should end this here? Nemesis shouldn’t actually kill one another, that would just leave you bored again, don’t you think?’ She threw a punch in return though, unwilling to let the Captain gain too much of an upper hand.
“We could call this dance over, if you’d like, and come back to it another day?”
This…was very different than fighting a youma, and…truthfully she wasn’t quite sure that she enjoyed it.

Okay, well, at least this girl wanted to play. Maybe Marialite could test her out a little as a nemesis candidate. Once she was in on the game, she was a much better player, and there was a lesson in that, Marialite supposed, if she thought about it hard enough.
"Maaaybe," she said, thoughtfully, as the Senshi's punch impacted her shoulder--still chilled, she was slow to dodge. "Also, your magic's really interesting, and I'm one for one on bringing nemeses into the Negaverse, so amybe I'll go for a twofer? Bet we'd make real good use of you!"
She giggled. It was a weird sort of sound, considering what she was talking about.
"So, y'know, sure, we'll call it here for now." She summoned her knives back to hand, and twirled one between her fingers. "Then, we';ll get ot tangle again later! It'll even be fun!" There was a sense of electric delight in her voice, and an undercurrent of playfulness. "Ta ta for now, darling!"
She swept a bow, and teleported away. She would remember that face, that outfit--and she would very definitely find this Senshi for a rematch. Couldn't make a good nemesis out of just one fight, after all.

Keiko paused, a little confused, but a little pleased that her bullshitting had actually worked. Hopefully…they wouldn’t truly run into one another again so the whole…having a nemesis wouldn’t…truly come into play but if it did…
Heck.
Perhaps Encke could give her some pointers, could help her figure out how to really…deal with this.
If he couldn’t…well. At the very least she’d hopefully be protected against being brought into the Negaverse…if anything, this had truly helped her realize that she would never be safe until she formed that tight bond with her homeworld…so she had to figure out how to gain that protection.
Drawing in a deep breath, Keiko turned away, and then broke into a slight run, leaving the area just in case the Captain decided to return.
…Patrols had to stop. Had to stop until she was glowing. She had to protect herself before she could keep focusing on protecting others…it…
It sucked, honestly but…she wouldn't be able to protect anyone if chaos ever got its hooks into her. So.
She couldn't let that happen. Wouldn’t let that happen. Not now and not ever.
