Although she was settling quite nicely into Evie's apartment, there was still plenty of reason for Soyala to be out and about. There were, after all, Senshi to find and work to be done of all kinds.
And, moreover, there were people on the other side to stop. Not that Soyala was a particularly effective fighter, and her encounter with Keiko had shown her that she could chat just as well as battle. But still, she had to have her eye out.
Although she wasn't always perfect at that, and she'd stopped for a moment to wash her paws at the entrance to an alley a few blocks form Evie's home. She was distracted by it, and didn't notice another cat approaching--not until the aura was practically on top of her. An Order Mauvian, ugh.
"Out to find more Senshi to drag into this war and abandon, hm?"
Alright, she could have been nicer, but her tolerance for the other side was low.

Viatrix felt the aura and immediately felt her fur go up on end. Oyster Negacat. Disgusting. Everything she was up to was immediately forgotten as the other cat came into view, and her priorities shifted as she evaluated the more important things she needed to deal with. A negacat was she definitely couldn't let stand, especially not if she was going to sass her and immediately accuse her of abandoning her charges. She would never. Viatrix let out an offended gasp, pressing her paw to her chest and pulling her head back in a miming of the more humanoid excuse me -- "I would never! My senshi are very important to me! They deserve to thrive!" She arched her back in a way to make herself appear more threatening, her claws already tempting to emerge. "What are you here to do? Steal senshi from their homeworlds and tell them their job is to kill people?"

The reaction made Soyala roll her eyes, and she did not stop washing her paw--because to acknowledge a threat was to act as if this foolish Order Mauvian was anything she had reason to be afraid of, and, simply, that was not the case. She refused to lower herself to pretending to be afraid of their sort.
"And yet so many of your side's Senshi seem so lost. Why, I even met one of your cats that joined our side, and even he admitted that the way we do things is much better." She swished her tail, almost dismissively. "But then, he didn't realize until after he'd come over, so I suppose I can't blame you for being blinded."
She put her paw down, and stretched, lazily. "I am looking to find Senshi who might thrive on the right side. Who might grow with the guidance the Negaverse provides. Who might attain their most glorious potential in Metallia's service. Why, do you intend to stop me?"

The nerve of just sitting there and washing her paw, of all things! Viatrix wasn't quite able to hold back her low growl, which probably wasn't the greatest show of Order Mauvian control, but she also didn't appreciate the implication she was foolish and somehow just going to Chaos was an actual solution. Absolute bull. "You Negacats are always going on about how we're all so lost. We're not some evil faux military op like you guys are." She bore her teeth, just for good measure. "I can't speak for foolish former cats of ours. Probably just got infected by your Chaos." She managed to flick a paw to seem more dismissive, but it was likely minimally effective considering the way her fur was puffed. That was probably even less helped by the growled, "Yes," as she swiped forward with her claws out.

"Our structure and support," Soyala said, and an edge of tension entered her tone, "ensure that Senshi are not left fearful and abandoned as yours too easily are. So many come to us lost and alone--!" She hissed, furious on their behalf. "Perhaps you are capable of properly looking after your charges, but so, so many of your fellows are not."
A dismissive tail swish. A skip backwards, as the other cat lashed out, and Soyala huffded derisively.
"So angry. Always so eager to jump into a fight," she said, but she lowered her head, aimed, and fired off her forehead laser. It always made her a little tired afterwards, and she could only do it once at a time before she had to rest, but it was an effective ender to a fight--and she hoped that it would work as one here, as well.
She did not have the time or the patience to bandy insults forever, and so she intended to end this as quickly as possible. And then maybe return home, drape herself over Evie, and wail until she received appropriate pets and attention.

Her eye twitched as Soyala acknowledged that perhaps she could do her job but so many of her fellows couldn't. It was arguable she didn't know enough Mauvians to handle the entirety of the load on their side, but it was her side's fault they even had anything to fight in the first place. In a life long gone, she could've just been taking care of Encke-- "Because your side doesn't allow an alternative!!" was her shout as she scrambled to press her body down, bury her head against the ground, and try to get out of the way of the laser. It was minimally successful-- that burned and she yowled her pain as she felt the burns and the fire. But Viatrix was also not one to give up terribly easily. She lifted her head, forehead star glowing, and narrowed her eyes as she fired right back. ... she was gonna be limping home. Maybe she could call Luke and whine at him.

Soyala was sort of expecting a return fire. She moved to dodge out of the way, but her reflexes were slow--her leg and side were still burned, and she hissed in pain, scampering backwards.
"Self-righteous brat," she hissed, and then she darted off into the night. Well, darted as quickly as she could while favoring one leg and drained from using her laser. But it was certainly very huffy and dramatic, and she was going to climb into Evie's window and wail until she received appropriate snuggles.
How terrible.
