Sports -- The world of sports is a subject of open fascination for Fae-Fae. She finds a sense of honor and nobility in how humans invent new physical challenges to overcome together, and how friendly competitions between teams (or even nations) can build greater unity both within and between them. A few favorites, such as tennis, have become part of her regular fitness routine, and she often dreams of witnessing the Olympics in person. She has a particular fondness for gunsports and incorporates them into combat training.
Carrion -- Fae-Fae is an obligate carnivore, but she is horrified and disgusted at the thought of eating slaughtered slaves. Her desperation to find an alternative to the Earth's meat industry has led to her scavenging for roadkill and the corpses of animals that have died in the wild. It is a task she is not thrilled to do, and she performs it discreetly to avoid disturbing her comrades. The outdoor shed and chest freezer she uses for carrion processing are both kept carefully locked.
Music -- A phenomenon that has deeply fascinated her since she first witnessed it. Fae-Fae has decided her people need music to prosper, though it is difficult to explain exactly why. She diligently practices the cello gifted to her by Sailor Athalia, and has since branched out to inventing instruments of her own.
Wellness -- If she had not joined the Vanguard, Fae-Fae would have had a promising future as a social worker. As it is, she's applying her budding expertise to look out for the well-being of her comrades. It's a research topic as well as a personal investment.
Virtues:
Patriot -- Fae-Fae is motivated by a deep, unshakable foundation of national pride. She actively works to promote compassion and unity among her people, and has proven effective at doing so during her time with the Vanguard. The love she feels for Velencya and her comrades always shows even when rank would traditionally keep it at bay. While she believes her society is flawed, she would never resent her people for the shortcomings she sees in them, instead choosing to have faith they can improve.
Joybringer -- After growing up in a situation where hopelessness was always lurking just around the corner, Fae-Fae has chosen -- over and over again -- to maintain a carefree and hopeful attitude towards life. She understands the value of morale, and does not think it is wise to wait until everyone is back on Velenia to pursue a joyful existence. Play is important to her as a means of deepening relationships and promoting people's wellbeing.
Confidant -- Fae-Fae is much less afraid of emotions than the average Velencian may be, and this makes her approachable for those looking for a space to express their own. She is gentle, nonjudgmental and compassionate when talking to others about sensitive topics, and tries her best to ensure her friends leave the conversation feeling better than they did when they started it. She is genuinely invested in understanding those she trusts on a deep level and providing emotional care when it's needed.
Flaws:
Trickster -- While Fae-Fae rarely outright breaks the rules, she sees them as flexible things she can bend in pursuit of her interests. In addition, she's known to tease others or pull little pranks to bring some more laughter into her life. Usually, she believes the impact of such actions are minor enough to not be concerned with; others, of course, may disagree. She is prone to fits of laughter in situations that, especially to other Velencians, may come off as inappropriate or even offensive.
Bumblebee -- There's always another project to do. There's always another question to ask. There's always another mystery to dominate her mind until she can find some way to unravel it. Fae-Fae's usually preoccupied by something or another. Her whims and curiosities can lead her astray from important details and make her lose sight of her priorities and obligations. Sometimes she fails to follow the rules because she forgets them in the momentum of her thoughts and feelings.
Mary-Sue -- Fae-Fae is a whirlwind of emotions that she almost never holds back in showing. Sometimes this is at the expense of logic. Worse yet, sometimes her own feelings overshadow the feelings of her friends. She can make herself the center of attention in ways that both humans and Velencians might find selfish or inappropriate. It's difficult for her to be objective in her work, and her justifications for her beliefs can rely more on emotion than reason.
