The weather was warmer, though it liked to waver between warm and cold every few days. Still, Alphubel felt comfortable enough to go outside and had decided to go out once again on a night where there were few clouds. He wanted to see the stars again.

He found his favorite spot, away from the city but close enough to where he could just see the light from it and set up his telescope. The wind still had a bit of a chill to it so he was glad that his robe was keeping him nice and warm.

He felt a pang in his chest. It was guilt from not going to his Wonder for so long. He talked about it to others, but he had to admit that it had been quite a while. There was no reason not to go back besides that he was busy, but he needed to again. He wanted to see if he could fix some of the telescopes that it contained, or perhaps replace a few. He had the money at least. He had to wonder if Earth telescopes would work as well there.

He needed to study them more. Study the materials that they used, the insides. Perhaps then he could understand what he could replace from Earth or else try to find on the snowy mountain that his Wonder was placed on top of.

With these thoughts going through his head, he wasn't paying much attention to his surroundings, so just about anything could have come up and surprised him...
