Considering the logistics of their existence, as a half-youma they only had a limited time of glamor before the magic wore off and they reverted back to their natural form. More than that though was that their signature would. Any powered person that might happen to be nearby would be upon near instantly.
Fortunately, because it was between afternoon and early evening, Marissa doubted anyone would be foolish enough to power up in broad daylight without some sort of disguise; therefore the risk of being found was delightfully low. However, it was best to be cautious still; and so, before they had left the Dark Kingdom, she set an alarm for two hours and forty-five minutes.
For one the sound would give them an out if they got caught up in a conversation with someone, and secondly, perhaps the most important of the two, it allowed them ample time to find a place where they could drop the glamor safely and she could ferry them back to the Dark Kingdom unnoticed.
As of this moment, they had about forty-seven minutes to enjoy the farmers market before it would be time to return.
The building was impressive in size; two stories and it looked like they were in the process of expanding if the crane and Mobile-Mini office or four Connex boxes in the parking lot were any indications.
“Everything inside consists of small businesses, there won’t be a Starbucks inside. But the main floor is mostly food; baked goods such as cookies, macaroons, and crepes. There is also a small cafe, with limited seating though. In the back right corner is where you’ll find the deli with various cuts of meat.” Marissa wasn’t sure if he kept a mini-fridge in his room but if he liked sandwiches, they had an amazing peppered turkey lunch meat that she’d definitely recommend.
“The stairs on the far right lead up there,” She glanced upward where additional booths on the second floor could be seen through the glass wall separating them. “There are mostly crafts; jewelry, handmade soaps, and leather crafts such as hand-made journals.”
“Do you feel more like food first or would you like to look around for a bit?” He could also wander by himself, he didn’t need to stick with her; she’d call him once the alarm went off if she wasn’t able to find him.
