Sekhmet was just dressing, after his warm shower (which after the freezing cold, really good, but also really weird - he'd never had a warm shower or bath in his life - on Sekhmet it was just too hot, so it was more natural to take cold showers. Some Earth Clothing had been laid out for him. Most of it, he could figure for himself, there was a shirt that was rather thick, and a little big on him - he had lost of weight lately, so he expected must things to be rather big on him. There was some kind of undergarment, and what some worlds might call trousers, and a pair of shoes - though like none he'd ever seen before. He thought he managed to get everything in the exact right place. Then he the white knitted tube-like things - what were they? Where were they? Where did they go? Finally, he shrugged and attached one to each ear. Then he went to show Myles that now he was yes now fed and dressed. "Well? How do I look?" A few minutes later there was a knock on the door. It was Drew, "How is our friend doing?" Kyuseisha no Hikari How is this? Oh and the things he put on his ears? They are the socks! biggrin

“Oh, you look charming. Are your ears cold?” Myles asked, a bit surprised by the appearance, but good natured enough about everything that he didn’t see anything wrong with Sekh’s choice. He didn’t have time to suggest trying them on his feet before Drew came back in.
“Hey!” he greeted. “Sekh, oh, my brother–”
He paused when he realized Drew had come up alone, but this wasn’t the first time Jeremy had sent someone up first while he went to park the car. “–Isn’t here yet, but this is Drew. He’s the one who found you. Drew, this is Sekh. We’ve been talking. A lot.”
He didn’t know if he could say how exciting it was, or if it would have been in poor taste to lay out Sekh’s whole life story for him, so he instead just said, “Come in, do you want some pizza? It’s still warm. I saw that it’s snowing again outside, come warm up.”

Kyuseisha no Hikari Sorry this took so long. biggrin and I'm really interested in hearing and seeing Miles, and even Jeremy's reactions biggrin A dark look crossed Drew's face as Miles spoke Sekh's nickname. Drew's eyes snapped to the golden man on the couch. Some of the confused memories that he yet to sort out from his latest trip to his homeworld suddenly came into focus. Not Sekh, it is Sekhmet. Drew frowned. At the dark look, Sekhmet rose narrowing his eyes. "I know I know you from somewhere, don't I? You know it too, don't you? I know I have a reason for not trusting you." Drew sighed. "Please sit, Sailor Sekhmet, and I too will sit." He had completely forgotten that Miles was there and walked past him to sit on the couch as if he wasn't there. Sekh sat, unhappily, at least trying to fulfill an unspoken truce as he tried to place where he had met Drew. Drew spoke softly as he offered a formal greeting, "Sailor Etamin of Hieroglyphics greets thee Sailor Sekhmet of Sandstorms." Shock and horror shook Sekhmet, but he did not know why. What had Etamin done to deserve his anger - he suddenly realized his memory was in pieces - but a low growl escaped his lips none the less.

At first, it was only confusion that crossed his face; Myles wasn’t used to being ignored. Drew wasn’t the sort to intentionally do something like that. There was tension in the air that he really didn’t understand. Drew was hardworking, but usually nice to be around. Sekh had been fun, and a little silly, so…
What was this?
Jeremy raised a brow when he entered the apartment, and Myles’ attention snapped right to him. If Jeremy hadn’t heard the growl, he’d have been worried by Myles’ expression alone.
Even with their two guests sitting, Jeremy didn’t bother to take off his jacket or shoes. He closed the door behind him and entered with heavy footsteps, just to make sure everyone else knew he was there.
“We getting along okay in here?” he asked. “Did we figure out what’s going on?”

Suddenly Drew remembered that they were not alone. Jeremy had arrived, and Miles- Poor Miles, Drew had swept right past him. They didn't even know what was going on. "Sekhmet, please grant me a few minutes to bring our hosts up to speed." Drew spoke softly as if not to anger Sekhmet further. "I know you may not remember yet what happened between us; I know you feel it in your heart, but please allow me to do the dignity for our hosts to at least bring them up to speed." Sekhmet glowered, but his eyes turned to Miles, and they softened. He nodded. "For Miles. For Mles, I will allow this." Drew turned to Myles and Jeremy. His eyes were not filled with anger, or rage or anything like Sekh's were. Instead, they were filled with a sorrow and....a remorse so deep, he seemed to drown in them. "I apologize for this. This is me. During the Silver Millenium, the worlds of Sekhmet, (Sekhmet here's world) and my own world of Etamin, were allies in a great Court. We were also raised as part of a close-knit family, Sekhmet, himself and I. And then, I did something incredibly stupid..."

Myles looked a bit alarmed still; the worry was obvious on his face and he seemed to be holding his breath. He wasn’t particularly brave, and he seemed skittish and might have even been quick to flee hostilities–even in his own home–if it weren’t his friends having issues.
Jeremy’s presence was heavier in the room; he was guarded and on edge, ready to intervene if need be, but he seemed to relax somewhat with the promise of answers.
“Okay,” Jeremy said slowly, and seemed to be waiting to hear more before he made up his mind on anything. He knew bits and pieces–he’d been filled in on all of this despite being the only one in the room–apparently–who wasn’t a Senshi or had any magical powers around to tap into.
Myles was easy to read, brows raised and eyes wide; he was a bundle of nerves and worries, but after a few seconds, he nodded as if he wanted Drew to continue. He didn’t know why Sekh was so mad now–not when he’d been so nice the whole time they’d been alone.
“Go on,” Jeremy insisted, watching Drew closely. He’d known the young man for a while now and seemed to be reserving judgment, but this whole thing was still so wild to him. He looked at Sekh, once more taking in his strange appearance, and then returned his attention to Drew to hear what this ‘incredibly stupid’ thing he’d done ‘during the Silver Millennium’ was.

Drew continued after a moment. "One of the duties of Sailor Etamin, before this life, was to discover, protect, and sometimes even destroy powerful objects so that one, they would not harm others and two, they would not get into the wrong hands. I happened to be sent one, the lost Eye of Horus, a long-lost treasure of not only of my homeworld, but the entire court." Sekhmet raised an eyebrow at the name of the treasure - it seemed he recognized it. "At 15 years of age, I was so excited. Any of us would have been - as this thing was said to have amazing powers. I was so excited that..." Drew frowned and looked down in shame. "I did not put into place the proper safety protocols." Sekhmet exhaled sharply. Drew looked as if he had cried about this next part so much, there were no more tears within him. And yet he wanted to cry more. He searched for the proper words. "Chaos magic had twisted it - and so twisted my mind. Warped me, though I remember every bit of it. " He paused. "My entire world died that day, by my hand. Aker and Basket (our adoped parents died getting Darius Ammun off the planet. Pasithee and Leaena and many of the other died to put an end to me, and you as well, except you and a few others survived..." Drew fell silent weeping once more. Sekhmet went into a rage and attacked Drew, pummeling him. Drew did not fight back. Just sat there weeping.

“Hey!” Jeremy shouted, and stomped across the room to hook his arms under Sekh’s and pull him away from Drew. “Knock it off!”
He had a loud, commanding voice. It had been a long time since Myles heard him sound angry; he’d flinched at the noise but as soon as Jeremy moved to pull Sekh off, he moved to drag Drew away, too.
“Calm down,” Jeremy demanded, and he held on firmly. “I’m not a Senshi, I’m not like the rest of you, but you need to breathe. Whatever you’re so upset about happened a long ******** time ago. ********, why did he just sit there and take that beating, he could have gotten away. Nothing in the living room was broken; a few things had been scattered or knocked to the floor. Nothing that couldn’t be cleaned up.
“Come here,” Myles said, soft and gentle as he tried to help Drew up. He wanted to pull him into the kitchen; there was at least a half-wall divider and he could get him some ice in the kitchen. “Please don’t fight,” he said, this time asking Sekh directly. His eyes were wide and he was jumpy, still visibly spooked. “We can talk this out. Please. Just calm down. We can work this out.”

Kyuseisha no Hikari Is this, ok? Sorry that it is long. When Sekhmet was pulled off him, Drew only sighed. "He remembers now, If the roles were reversed, I may have attacked as well. You see," Drew said, his eyes to the floor. "All those people, family, friends, and my entire world - that I had vowed to protect, died by my hand..." He trailed off. Sekhmet had been fuming. Now he looked up and glared at Drew. "You laughed. You laughed as you killed them." Drew nodded, sadly. "I will have to live with those deaths, every time I reawaken." He closed his eyes in pain. Sekhmet glared at him and then frowned. "Why are you doing this, telling when you know that I might try to kill you for what you did?" Drew's eyes looked far off. "It is the penance that my world has set upon me. Long before I started to remember, I was summoned back 'to help' my world. It, it seemed was actually attempting to test if any good had remained in me. Since then, it has been testing me and now has put a penance on me that I will glad fulfilled, no matter how much it hurts." Sekhmet looked puzzled, "Then you have really changed? But you were always a pompous ...what's the word again?" ' Drew actually smirked, "If you're looking for 'jerk' - that's a totally different story altogether." Sekhmet raised an eyebrow, "Oh really, you were always Aker and Basket's pet." Drew wrinkled his nose, "You have no idea how weird that sounds here." He turned to Myles and Jeremy. "Aker and Basket were our Guardian Cats, and had adopted us into their little family," He frowned. "Aker and Basket died by my hand, when I was manipulated by the dark power of the artifact, and they were only trying to help their natural son and kitten Darius Ammun escape." A tear trickled down Drew's face. He turned back to Sekhmet, "If that was true it was because I was the first, and the reason for them adopting us -" Sekhmet interrupted grumbling, "You know what, you're still a pompous jerk." Drew blinked in annoyance. "If you had allowed me to finish my sentence - you might have found out that it was my pain that caused them to do so." Sekh frowned in surprise. "Pain? Is that why you were always such a ..." Drew nodded sadly. "Etaminian Law stated that once Sailor Etamin was found, he/she is stripped of everything - his/her home, possessions, titles, even their family, their very identity, they are considered dead and completely become Sailor Etamin." Sekhmet frowned. "That's terrible. Wait, I seem to some rumors, one that you had been royalty, and that Pharaoh Amendehart IV of Etamin had lost his eldest child, a boy around the age of his Coronation to Crown Prince - but we were supposed to speak of rumors much...." At Etamin's silent nod... Sekhmet jumped, shocked. "No... way...! So, what happened, if you don't mind, Etamin?" Etamin closed his eyes, as tears exited the corners of his eyes and he nodded. "I was eight years old, and we in the middle of my coronation to Crown Prince. My father was telling me he was proud of me and that he expected me to rule one day with fairness and respect for all, from the highest noble, to the poor peasant. The Librarian-Priests, who everyone was not happy with because they had not showed up for the ceremony, and Aker and Basket also suddenly burst in and announced that I was the Senshi. My father demanded confirmation and got it. "I asked him, 'Father, what is going on?' He turned his back on me and said, 'I am not your Father, you are not my Son. You are not a Prince or Crown Prince of Etamin. You will never be Pharaoh of Etamin. You are Sailor Etamin of Hieroglyphics and the Senshi - the Sworn Protector of our world of Etamin.' "Then he walked away, as did everyone else, except the Librarian-Priests and Aker and Basket. The Librarian-Priests stripped me of my very identity that night, and I became Sailor Etamin, but Aker and Basket, and their son Darius, allowed me to become my own person time to time." Sekhmet was now close to tears himself. "Oh Etamin, I never knew. I'm so sorry. Why did you tell us?" Drew nodded, "We all had our sad stories even you. I didn't want to burden you with mine." Sekhmet sighed, "I'm sorry I attacked you." Drew nodded. "I understand. I would have done the same, most likely." "So any of the others here?" "Well, yes, Sailor Pasithee - I should say Super Sailor Pasithee is um... my twin sister -" "Huh how did that work out?" "From what I understand she was to be my guardian. in case-" "Ah." "Chibi Saillor -er - Chibi Super Sailor Leaena is my little ... uh Sister - " "Sister??!?" "Yes, by Eight years. There is Darius Ammun -" "Little Darius? How?" "That's a long story - somehow he's become my Bonded Mauvian -" "Bonded?" "We'll talk about that soon, I think there are others but my memories are still a bit hazy." "I see. Um, have you told them, no, but I was going to, tonight, will you come to meet them?" "Absolutely!"

Myles stood like a deer in headlights, partly because his heart was still pounding from the attack, and now because he was doing mental gymnastics to try and keep up with everything.
Jeremy was quiet, because while he understood the words, he didn’t understand everything else. The story made sense, sure, but he’d hardly ever been interested in science fiction. He hadn’t had time to appreciate such things. And now there was an exiled prince and a thousand year old warrior standing in his living room. The threat of tears seemed to be fading–which was good, because he wasn’t any good with them, and Myles was too reactive, anyway.
…But nobody was fighting. The newcomer wasn’t trying to kill Drew. Presently. Jeremy relaxed enough that he was able to take a step back, but he was still squinting between the two of them.
“...Drew, you sure you can handle this? He can’t walk around like this, he’s going to stick out like a sore thumb.” Even if they were getting along, there was still too much danger to just let him walk around. “Before you make plans about taking him out of here, we should plan on how we can make sure he doesn’t attract any unwanted attention.”

Drew nodded with a serious look on his face, then it brightened. "I think I may have a both a short-term solution and a long term solution to this problem." Sekhmet nodded, "I trust in you. Whether or not you used to be a pompous - er a bit standoffish, your ideas were always good." Both of them smiled at this. "Okay, so here is the thing - it's a good the middle of Winter." Sekhmet frowned. "It is?" he asked, puzzled.' Drew nodded. "Lots of people go out all covered up with clothing head to toe so you can't see an inch of skin. That's what we'll do for now- need to get you to see Dari - er Darius Ammun. He's still a beginner at Mauvian (Guardian Cat) Technology, as he is young (er and for some reason he's latched on to me and is calling me 'Daddy'), but he's made some friends among the other Mauvians, they're sure to help." Sekhmet grinned his golden smile. "I knew you wouldn't drop the ball." Drew smiled too and then said, "And now you can get those socks off your ears. They look silly, Ausar." Drew unknowingly used Sekhmet's original given name as he giggled. Sekhmet looked confused,"Huh? What? What's wrong with them?"

Jeremy wasn’t really sure that this was a good idea, but who was he to argue? He couldn’t help but want to look after Drew; he didn’t want him to get into any trouble. Not with the police force, not with strange, alien senshi.
Maybe he had a point, maybe it would be less noticeable if he bundled up.
Myles’ brows were still knit, but he managed a weak, uncertain smile when Sekhmet asked about the socks. He hadn’t had the heart to tell him. And, maybe his ears were cold. Still, he kept a little bit of a distance, and Jeremy seemed to maneuver himself a bit closer to his brother now that Drew and Sekh seemed to have called down.
“...Just be safe, Drew. I don’t want anything to happen to you. If there’s anything I can do, let me know.”

Drew nodded, "Thank you, Jeremy, Myles." He looked at them sadly for a moment. "Jeremy, you understand, crime and punishment. If a person on Earth, even one of your colleagues - sworn to protect - did something unwise - perhaps did not use safety protocols when destroying a harmful substance, he or she was required to destroy - and it messed with their mind to the point where they went on a rampage and destroyed many or all the people they were sworn to protect, along with most of your close-knit team, how would you feel about that person? I was sworn to protect of people and I destroyed them. My mind was messed, because I had done something irresponsible. And then, I turned on my allies - a slaughter of which Sekhmet was one of the few to even survive. Please understand, Sekhmet has a right to feel this way, and I must let him. Until I gain the forgiveness of all my team, I cannot make it right with my world. This is my penance." His eyes brightened after a moment. "We'll bring him after dark, Say about 6 or 7?" Sekhmet nodded. "That seems like a good idea, but will it be even colder?" He shivered at the thought. He finally had the socks where they belonged.

Jeremy looked a bit uncomfortable; he didn’t agree with Drew and it was obvious by the way his brows had furrowed. “...You’re really stretching that, Drew. You can’t be blamed for something someone did in a past life.”
He didn’t know everything about being a Senshi, and it wasn’t like Myles went up to his world. He said he’d had one memory and it had been horrible.
“I think dying is probably punishment enough. And even if it wasn’t, it sounds like it was an accident. I’d be pissed off that things happened the way they did, but I’m not going to blame someone for something that wasn’t in their power to control.”
Especially because the past Etamin was dead. This was Drew, not whoever that guy was.
He looked at Sekh and couldn’t blame him for being mad, but he didn’t like the way Drew sounded so self-sacrificing about things like this.
“Just seems like s**t that you have to clean up someone else’s mess. I get trying to make things right, but I don’t want anyone bullying you for something you didn’t do. No matter where he’s from.”
Jeremy looked at Sekh because he’d give him a chance, but not if it meant that Drew was going to get raked across the coals for something that happened well before he was ever born.
Myles fidgeted again, and obviously there wasn’t an easy solution for any of this, so he piped up–far less confident than his brother, “But let us know if there’s anything we can do to help. I–I know this can’t be easy for either of you, and, well–I mean, you’re both my friend, so. I want to help if I can.”

Drew sighed. Jeremy would never truly understand what it meant to be a Senshi. Drew was and was not Hapii Merii, the last Etamin. He was and was not all of his past lives. Sekhmet saw his discomfort with Jeremy and tried to explain better. "Sir, if you would allow me? It has said that, 'Senshi may not even be the Species as most of the rest of the galaxy or at least it takes a very rare recessive, ah what is the English word again? Gene. that was... how you say it, originally implanted by the Mauvians, back when the universe was young,' or so the legends of my people say. "'A Senshi could be seen as cobra-- shedding its skin or rather life every so often, though each skin or life changes both itself and the cobra or Senshi. With the shedding of each life, the Senshi retreats within its nest or rather the Galaxy Cauldron.' So, you see, Sir, you may see you may see your friend Drew, but what you're really seeing is just another face of Sailor Etamin, who might be reborn again and again until the end of time - and while this Drew faucet may live only one lifetime -Etamin may live a thousand or a million more. "And while you're right, death is a suitable punishment for most people (as death is the permanent end), as a Senshi (who will most likely be reborn)- with a corrupting like that can leave unresolved emotions on all sides - that could lead to a more permanent corruption. "Anyways, Etamin already has a punishment worse than death - one more suitable for a Senshi - for the rest of eternity - every time he lives again, he will have to go through this - he will have to live with those memories for the rest of Eternity. "However, Etamin has chosen a different route... he has chosen Penace. This is our form of Redemption - it is a way of putting the past behind us. That means making peace with all those he destroyed years ago, only then can he find peace with both his world and himself." Sekhmet fell silent. Drew grinned. "When did you get to be such a Scholar?" Sekhmet smiled ruefully. "You were my teacher. I believe I even quoted some of your writings." Drew went weak in the knees, "My writings?"
