When they finally made it home from the urgent care, Olivia was tired. Having your soul ripped from your body, getting an axe to the chest and then going to get twenty stitches was enough to push anyone to exhaustion, but…she was home, and that was what mattered.
As she snuggled down on the couch next to Tavi, she nuzzled him, hoping to soften the male as much as she could. “...I’m sorry that I worried you. I hadn’t…wanted to.” She sighed. “I had offered her some energy, that was all…I hadn’t known that she was going to take my starseed…I wouldn't have put myself into danger if I would have…thought…that there would be danger.”
It sounded like such a poor excuse, and she knew it but…there wasn’t much else that Olivia could think to say.
“...You’re not going to tell Cybele, are you? Because her and I literally just…we just had a night of patrolling where she warned me not to freeze up, and now I went and froze up and…I can’t stand it if you’re both angry with me…”

Tavi was a smoldering ember of anger by the time they got home. He'd managed to not snap at the nurse who stitched Livi up, and the very force of walking around town and back home had calmed most of the hot rage that boiled in his veins. What was left was a cold anger that simmered below the surface. He needed to go train or punch something or anything other than sit here on the couch with Olivia trying to cuddle with him.
It was a poor excuse and Tavi sighed heavily through his nose. He held up a hand, and scooted to the other cushion, needing her to not be touching him and trying to smooth it over.
Silver eyes flashed with anger as she mentioned that Cybele, too, told her to not freeze up. The embers of anger reignited. Like hell was he going to lie to her girlfriend about the danger she'd put herself in tonight!
"There is always danger around Chaos, Olivia! You know this! I don't care how ******** kind they might seem, or how nonthreatening, they are always dangerous!" he said, voice echoing off the ceiling. God, he didn't want to yell at her, he really didn't, but the rage in his chest just would not abate. The man clenched and unclenched his fists, joints cracking.
"You took an unnecessary risk tonight Olivia. I would have been there in ten minutes if you had just waited for me," he said, forcing his tone to lower, to remain calm. "You didn't just worry me, Olivia. There are agents and senshi out there bruised to hell and back because I couldn't find you. They're lucky I didn't do anything worse. "
He stared at the wall across from them, giving her a moment to respond and himself a moment to breath.

Olivia fell quiet with his words, and felt utterly desolate when he pulled away, though followed suit and drew herself slowly to the other side of the couch. “I know. I know I’m sorry.” She tried to push back the tears that were again threatening.
The void that had lived inside of her while she was a corrupt herself seemed to have reopened, gaping and raw. It wasn’t criticism. It wasn’t. He was simply worried about her. But.
But would he be if she were an Eternal Senshi again? If she could take care of herself, he…and Cybele would have no need to worry about her. She reached out and pulled one of the cushions to her chest, squeezing it for a moment but then winced from the pain of her wound.
Well. She’d just.
Be better. That was all. Easy…easy peasy.
“I’m sorry. I won’t take any risks anymore, okay? I’m…sorry.”

Tavi gritted his teeth as she curled in on herself. He'd done it again. He couldn't remember the times he'd done it before, but he knew he'd done it again. Made her cry, made her curl in on herself. Make her try to take all the blame. He dug his fingers into his hair and groaned in frustration.
It wouldn't do either of them good if he started yelling. He could hold out his frustration and his rage until he was in front of a sandbag. Tavi looked over at Olivia and sighed softly,
"I'm sorry for raising my voice. I'm just... I'm having a hard time understanding... Why? Why'd you take the risk, and why'd you freeze up?" he said, voice thankfully calm and free of anger. He shifted on the couch so he could face her more directly, so she didn't feel like he was as closed off. Hopefully.
"Help me understand, Livi. Help me understand why my wife wants to save the world by herself," he said softly, glancing away for a moment. Was he not doing enough? He'd joined a brigade, he was out patrolling, but was he not on top of it more? Was he not communicating enough? He knew she'd taken a power cut when they came into the light, but that didn't mean she had to go at it alone to prove herself...
"...you don't have to prove anything to me, Livi..."

“I wasn’t trying to prove anything. I just wanted to make sure the kids were okay. I thought I could help. I thought I could talk her down, make sure she didn’t have their starseeds…I thought I could give some of my energy for theirs so some psycho didn’t kill them in the ally or…or do worse to them. Being unconscious in a dark alley isn’t…the best place to be in the light of day, let alone at night…and I just. Wanted to help.”
Olivia closed her eyes and rested closer against the back of the couch. “I…didn’t want. Anyone to die. I didn’t want to just stand there and do nothing…and I didn’t really freeze. It all happened so quickly. I thought she was going to take some energy, and she tricked me. That’s all. I didn’t think I was being so reckless. I promise I wasn’t trying to be. I’m sorry.”
She wasn’t trying to prove anything to anyone. Didn’t want to prove anything to anyone. “...I just want to be a better person than I was. My first go round as a senshi…I wasn’t. A great person. I didn’t care about people. Didn’t care about much of anything. Fought you a lot, I remember. Then when I corrupted…I don’t remember much. I wasn’t…Albireo much, I guess…but now? Now that I’ve been given a second chance…I want to be the hero that I was supposed to be a decade ago…”

He smiled at her, just a little, and leaned against the couch back. "... Can ya try to do it without giving me like seven heart attacks?" he joked softly, hoping it helped to ease the tension some. He watched her for a moment, and shifted forward on the couch so he could reach out a hand towards her knee.
"Look... right now all I want to do is lock you up and never let you leave again unless we're like... handcuffed together. I know that's not great or even really healthy. I just... You really, really scared me this time." He squeezed her knee gently. He didn't want her to retreat into herself. That wouldn't help either of them, not really. Tavi left his hand on her knee, palm up, leaving it in her court if she wanted to grab it.
"Would you like it, or even find value in, training together? I would feel more comfortable with you confronting Chaos alone if I know you won't freeze up. We can do it powered or we can find a self defense class we can take if you want. I just..." he smiled at her, "I just want you to be safe... without being an a*****e about it..."

Olivia was quiet for a long moment but finally looked at him as well, a small smile on her face. “...if we train together. I won’t hold back. I’ve kicked you in the balls before, and even though I know I like them more now, I won’t hesitate to do the same, Tavi. If we do this, it’s at your own risk and peril.”
After they trained though.
After they trained some. She wanted to get away. To spend some time up on her Homeworld and decompress over everything.
Maybe she’d find some answers hanging out with her little buggy bestie. Maybe she’d find some peace and some way to work through better ways of seeing if people were worth trying to save or not.
…Regardless if it helped or not. She wanted to have some time alone…and going up there would be the safest place she could go.

He chuckled and scooted to her end of the couch, dropping his head into her lap and looking up at her. He probably was overreaching with this, given he'd just yelled at her, and given that he still felt frustrated and angry with her. But he couldn't let her wallow in it. Didn't want her to, and couldn't bear to be the reason she cried.
"I'll wear a cup, it'll be fine! But my manhood is, as ever, in your hands my love," he said, gently booping her nose and then just.... holding her close. She was alive and not dead, and that was enough for the moment.
"... You know I have to tell Cybele, right?"

Olivia groaned at his words, his threats of telling Cybele and nodded, learning down and pressing a kiss to his lips. “Well. If you must you must but. If she yells at me to I swear I’ll just vanish out of pure misery. I can’t have you both upset with me…”
The playful smile fell slightly and she shrugged. “Yes good. I’ll keep it in my hands for as long as I may. But…for now…I would really love some hot chocolate and just…sleep, I think.”
Hopefully this would blow over. Hopefully this would blow over soon. But if not. She could weather the storm. She has weathered all the others, after all.
