Fangnyl couldn't wait until he ran into that... Ariadne again. The Dark Mirror Senshi. He was kind of fascinated by her description of what they did (vampires) and he was intensely curious about this mirrorspace stuff she'd mentioned. Maybe not all Chaos was just completely bad, like most of the Negaverse, in his opinion. He wanted to know more so badly it hurt, but... finding the person you were looking for in this city seemed to be nigh impossible. Oh well. He'd probably run into another Dark Mirror eventually. Right? He sighed, keeping to the shadows, not out of looking for her, but for himself, staying hidden, since he wasn't using his glamour.

Ariadne was still sort of hopeful about getting to have a real conversation with one of the Velencians. Fangnyl had been annoyed, but not aggressive, when her magic wore off, so maybe she'd done okay on the "making an impression" front. Even fi she'd panicked and bolted instead of talking like a normal human being.
Ugh, embarrassing. But that was in the past, and she had kept her eyes open--and she leaned down to check the alley below her for people to drain or threats of any kind, and she spotted a familiar figure.
Well! First impreession, take two?
She jumped down from the roof and landed gracefully.
"Hey! Fangnyl, is that you?"

Fangnyl startled slightly when she jumped down, glancing for other people before he let himself relax slightly. She hadn't called on her magic yet, so he could be at least somewhat comfortable. After all, last time had only been because he was hostile towards her. "Yes," he said, nodding, "And you're Ariadne. The vampire senshi." Part of him knew this wasn't... exactly something he should say aloud, but he was also morbidly curious as to her reaction to his own conclusion about how Dark Mirror Senshi worked. Sue him. (That was a fun phrase, especially since nobody actually could, since he didn't exist to Earth's records!)

Ariadne's eyebrows went up. That was....that was a hell of a thing to say.
"Uh, vampire Senshi? I don't drink blood," she said. "I know I totally look like I could be a Bride of Dracula, but....no," she shook her head. What a weird thing to assume. Then again, she did have a very undead bride look, and her sphere was pretty goth, and...
Okay, maybe she could see the assumption a little. It was still kind of weird, though, and definitely not true.

Fangnyl tilted his head curiously. Bride of Dracula? He didn't know that guy had a bride... But okay, that wasn't as bad as he thought she might have reacted. "Well, you take energy from humans in order to keep surviving," he said slowly, head still tilted to the side as he stared at her, "Vampires take blood from humans to keep surviving. Blood is energy is life essence, no? The way you take is much different from the Negaverse, who have no qualms killing." He quirked his shoulders in an approximation of a shrug.

"I....guess?" Ariadne said, and she frowned. "But vampires are usually totally capable of killing their victims, right? Or turning them? And I can't do either of those things."
Well, okay, when she was an Eternal like her sister, she would be able to bring people into the Court. But that was details that weren't really relevant tot he question of whether or not she was a vampire. She supposed she could kind of see the comparison, and it wasn't all bad, but it was still....ehhh, she wasn't sure she liked it.
"It is true that we're different from the Negaverse, though." She frowned. Gismondine was decent, but... "I really don't trust them," she admitted. "Like, on the whole, I kinda don't trust people from outside the Court at all unless they've proven they deserve it. But especially nott he Negaverse. Not after what I've seen."

Fangnyl furrowed his brow, considering what she'd said. Well. He had only meant it to be a metaphor; as most people seemed to be pretty fine with the idea of vampires existing, from all the things he'd seen about them being misunderstood creatures who just happened to have a large sample size of shitty people in their category of persons. Wthout hunting and turning people like the Dark Mirror, but taking energy like the Dark Mirror, that kind of vampire was popular. Still, she was clearly uncomfortable with the comparison, so he let it go (learning Earth social graces was quite tough) and nodded vigorously at her opinion on the Negaverse. "There are certain people I trust... I have to, within my loyalties and such..." He trailed off, shaking his head. "But on the whole, I'm extremely wary. We... were tricked into a terrible thing, and it can't be undone so easily, the bonding that the Negaverse has gotten with us, now. I think some of us are fine with it, but I know I'm not comfortable with just everyone, you know?" He sighed, shoulders slumping. "I apologize for reacting hostilely to you on our first meeting, by the way. You hadn't proven one way or another that you would hurt someone badly just yet."

Ariadne nodded. It sounded like Fangnyl at least hadn't known ahead of time what would happen, whatever it had been--Abzu had made it sound pretty awful, and everything she'd learned since (Acrucis's missing friend, and all of it) made her even more sure that something very terrible had gone down, that night.
She wondered if it was the same night that so many Dark Mirrors had been pulled into Mirrorspace for a battle against that giant, out of control wraith-creature. Not that she was inclined to bring that up, particularly.
"I'm sorry you were tricked," she said, softly. "That's not fair. I know that we used to work with the Negaverse," she kicked the toe of her shoe against the ground, "a long time ago, before I even joined, but like...it's survival, yeah? They pull people's souls out of their chests. They stab people. I saw one turn into a fire tornado. So....working with them is like....basic self-preservation?"
She shrugged her shoulders. "Anyway, it's okay, if you mostly know the Negaverse, it's no wonder you were a little bit jumpy with me." She raised a hand up, and gave him a little wave. "I gotta get going, but ti was good seeing you again. Another time," she said, and she bounded her way back up onto the roof.
Fangnyl seemed like a good person. It was too bad he--and the rest of the Vanguard, it sounded like--were caught up in things that were way beyond them. That....sucked, a lot. Hopefully they found a way to get out of it.
