Between working on setting up her YouTube channel and incorporating some Negaverse Infiltration work into that, on top of adjusting to her new team, Jadarite had only been out in the field so much lately. There were quotas, of course, but she generally tried to fill them as quickly as possible and then be on her way back to more pleasant, important tasks. All that was to say, she hadn't actually seen an Order senshi since Alkmene had asked for backup with the deer girl. It wasn't entirely an unpleasant experience when on of their auras popped up on her radar, however. Last time she'd managed to claim a senshi's starseed, it had helped her earn a promotion. She knew it wouldn't be quite so easy to become a General, but she wasn't opposed to neutralizing another enemy and seeing what honors she could get for it. She turned from the two drunken teenagers she'd just drained to unconsciousness in an alleyway, and she looked towards the aura.

Albireo had planned to go on a patrol with Siegfried, but had turned up early, because sometimes she was an overachiever like that. Not often, but sometimes.
There was a chaos aura nearby, and while she had tried to ignore it for just a few minutes…to wait for her husband to turn up…she finally realized that she couldn’t keep ignoring it, and moved towards it, hesitating when it seemed to be coming from a lonely alleyway. There were two shapes on the ground that she could see dimly, and an officer standing over them.
The senshi felt her blood run cold, but…maybe they weren’t dead. Maybe she had just taken energy and they were actually fine…
But maybe they weren’t. “Excuse me, but what did they do to you? Do you often attack people who haven’t done anything to warrant it? Doesn’t that…bother you?”
Words were always more effective than actions. Albireo didn’t have great magic, so words were always her go to…everyone…well. Almost everyone could be reasoned with. Sometimes.

When the senshi came into view, Jadarite watched her steadily. She was a Super by the looks of it, but Jada herself was a Captain now, so that shouldn't be a problem. She was also just talking. How sweet. How ineffective. That might make this even easier. "No. There was nothing personal with these two," she said, nodding towards the figures behind her. "It was all business." It didn't bother her. These two would wake up in the morning. It wasn't as if she took starseeds unnecessarily. Although, if she thought about it, the death that was on her hands didn't bother her all that much either. "Although, I'm not particularly interested in fighting you," she added. "Gets my clothes dirty, so if you're about to tell me to give you their energy or else?" Jadarite shrugged and a glowy orb appeared in her hand. She held it out. If this woman believed so much in the goodness of humanity, maybe Jada could use that to lure her a bit closer.

Oh, thank goodness. If she had only taken their energy, that would return. They would be weak for a while…but they would live. Energy wasn’t…that terribly dangerous. At least not compared to starseeds. “Ah no, but if you would be willing to give them back a little bit, I would make up for it with some of mine? Leaving kids in an alley at night just…seems like a recipe for disaster for them. There are some nasty people in the world, and I’m not talking about those in the Negaverse either.”
She moved forward, holding her hand out. “I’m Sailor Albireo, and I think that you are very pretty, Captain!”
Cybele couldn’t be angry at this. This wasn’t freezing up. This was talking. This was making a connection so that maybe one day, this agent could be saved.
Just like Siegfried was.

Jadarite was slightly surprised by the reaction that she was getting. She was hardly disappointing, though. Last time she'd been interrupted by a senshi while she was out on patrol, there had been a tricky, unpleasant fight before she'd walked away with a starseed in her hand. This senshi was reaching out to her. Smiling. Calling her pretty. Honestly, Jada was charmed. It was sweet. She liked compliments. The girl's words were going to stick with her and make her night a pleasant one. In fact, Jadarite did briefly have second thoughts about just killing this senshi. Perhaps, once her starseed was out, she could bring her in to Lepidolite and see about having her corrupted. Someone this sweet would have to be good for Infiltration. In any case, she offered up the energy orb, pressing it into the senshi's palm as she reached forwards to shake her hand. Her grip was firm, confident, practiced. Then, a moment later, it was tight. Her other hand shot forwards towards her chest, and then inside of it. Her manicured fingers quickly closed around the diamond that was resting there, and, before the senshi had too much time to realize what was happening and start squirming, she pulled it free. She held the gem in front of her, appraising. She looked at how brightly it shone. A smile came to her lips. "You're pretty, too," she said.

Albireo felt a thrill of pride, of joy when the captain gave her back the orb of energy. She hadn’t been expecting that, but it filled her with so much hope that she couldn’t help but beam, squeezing the hand that Jadarite had taken, though pausing slightly when it grew painful. It seemed that time slowed down then, as she looked in slight horror, watching as the hand entered her chest and curled around her starseed.
The pain was sharp and familiar, and with a half bemused, half horrified rush of realization…Albireo figure that this was what Cybele meant by freezing up.
Was she too trusting? Was that even…
She swallowed, feeling the world going dark even as she heard the Captain say that she was pretty too…a compliment for her death, she supposed. But.
“...Please…the…let the energy go back…” Albireo managed the words, forced out as everything went black and she slumped towards the Captain, body falling like a puppet with its strings cut.
If Siegfried would come…maybe she wouldn’t die from this one either but…
…maybe she would try to be more cautious in the future…if there was the chance of another future. If not…
God. She hoped that the two she loved most would care for one another.
