From it's various formats to it's many platforms as well, music is bought and sold all over the world. Streaming aside, where do you buy physical copies of your music from?

I buy my records online for the most part. Ain't many record shops here in the small town of Romney, West Virginia. I used to buy most of my albums from FYE, when they were still mainly a music outlet.

Band their bandcamp or via their label.

Generally Bandcamp for the most part. I also cheat and pay for Spotify Premium.

Usually the specialized mailorders/labels High Roller Records and Dying Victims Productions. In addition to that sometimes Amazon, sometimes Saturn (chain of electronic stores here in Germany).
I always buy cds.

It's nice to find other people who still buy physical copies of an album. That's unseen these days.

I've got a pretty good local store that I've probably bought a dozen or so records from in the past year. Those have mostly been random finds though. If it's something that I really want I try to go through their label or direct from the artist.

I recently bought Lankum's new album through their record label. And I've got a re-press of Propagandhi's "Supporting Caste" on the way from the bandcamp fundraiser they did end of last year. Going to blast the hell out of that when it gets here.

All in due time. Physical copies are so much more rewarding than just streaming online.

Start with the cheapest around and build up your vinyl collections. There's always room for an upgrade later.

As I remember, growing up in the early nineties, things were different back then. Music was less accessible because the internet wasn't as advanced as it is in this day and age. I remember as a kid, everyone used to stand outside the shops on opening day, waiting to get their hands on the newest album on the first day of it's release. Having a physical copy is a piece of the music you own for yourself in such a manner. Buying the physical copy also helps boost units sold. By units, I mean a CD or vinyl record.
