It was a nice night. Ariadne was glad she had chosen to go out; things were starting to get warmer, and so her fuku wasn't nearly as uncomfortable as it had been through the winter months. Plus, it had been a long time since she ran into anyone else while out energy draining, and so even if she'd had that weird encounter with that super-aggressive Senshi, she wasn't exactly feeling bad. After all, it had ended pretty well.
Sure, she'd lied through her teeth, but that was fine. She had absolutely zero intent of going over to the other side, but no one needed to know that. If she talked a good game, maybe she'd learn something, and give herself more pieces of the puzzle.
A light breeze blew by, picking up the ends of her hair, and she sighed contentedly, tilting her head back to look up at the stars. What a beautiful night. A good one to be out, sitting on a decorative stone wall, and watching the stars.

A good night to be out. Abzu took a breath through his nose and let it out through his lips, slow and controlled as he felt the nature around him. His experiences since that generator and Moon incident had been considerably less violent, and though the follow-up felt like the inevitable chug of actually needing to do work, it was more tolerable than attempting to get a vampire to stop attacking him and feeling like he might have been on something. Plus, the saxophone was nice. It always seemed perpetually in tune, for one, which was admittedly a feat in the higher registers-- Having not settled on a place to play his sax quite yet, he actually noticed the aura as he came upon it, eyes widening in surprise. Ah. So that was what it was supposed to feel like. Something felt a bit wrong about it-- Guess he wasn't using the stone wall, but-- "Beautiful night, right?" Perhaps if he started this as a friendly question, it would end the same way as it had with the conversation with that agent.

Ariadne felt the twinge of an aura, and inhaled, and waited. There was no reason to get aggressive first; her magic had a pretty much 100% success rate of shutting down nonsense, so she could just....pull that out again if sometihng went wrong.
A stranger in teal carrying a saxophone was definitely eyebrow-raising, but if she was honest, probably not the weirdest thing she'd seen since becoming magical. And he was greeting her politely, so she greeted him right back with a smile, and she really did hope they kept this energy going for the whole time.
"It is, yeah," she agreed. "I'm Ariadne. You?"

Oh good. If she was inclined to match his energy, he'd keep it going. He let the hand holding his saxophone relax at his side as he found a place to lean. "Abzu," he replied, because he didn't see any innate harm in giving his name. If there was no reason for him to be attacked, also no reason for him to be secretive, he figured... "of Neptune, I've learned. And you? What're you of, if you don't mind me asking?" His brows knit as he took a look over her uniform. Veil, sailor collar, dress. She was dressed in a dark-based outfit like he might of expected out of the agents, so she must have been one of their senshi, then. As the agent had said, one of the agents who had decided to fight for Earth instead of invade. Or as Pendour had implied, one of those they had taken and wiped the memory of, right? "I presume you're a Negaverse senshi?" Best to ask for clarification, in any case.

Ariadne nodded. Abzu of Neptune. A....Knight, then, they were called, she was pretty sure? She had to admit that she didn't know very much about the other side, but she could always ask Amytis for more information. Her sister knew pretty much everything there was to know, at this point, she was pretty sure.
"Oh, uh, Sailor Ariadne, Senshi of Mourningbrides," she said, as a clarification. "They're a flower, really pretty, I'd never heard of them before but I like them a lot." Maybe she would try to do a themed costume for her next competitive skate....there were certainly plenty of songs she could pick to evoke the "mourning bride," and it would make for a gorgeous outfit. Of cours,e only she would understand, but it would still be pretty great.
"But, no, not Negaverse. I didn't know they had Senshi? I'm with the Dark Mirror." She shrugged, looking a little sheepish. "We're Chaos too, but....different. We don't go around pulling starseeds, and we drain way less energy. Keep to ourselves, mostly."

Mourning Brides. Or mourningbrides. The flower. Huh. He hadn't known senshi spheres could get that particular, but he supposed it made sense. If there were theoretically senshi for nearly everything that was above their heads-- "Suppose that makes more sense than being the senshi of brides in mourning," he replied, with a chuckle. "I'll have to go look them up later. If they share colors with you, no doubt that they're gorgeous." Naturally, he followed that up with a wink. Oh. Not Negaverse. Good thing he asked. "They do. I don't know much about them, but," he looked over her again, "suppose you don't look like the ones I saw at the generators..." For one, her hair didn't look like it was so long that it could kill a man of its own accord. Or if it was, it was at least allowed to be gathered away from the ground-- So they were Chaos but.. different. Drained less energy, didn't go after starseeds, kept to themselves. Interesting. "That does make you pretty different from them. They think they have to do those things to protect the Earth, but you don't really do that at all..." He tilted his head. "What's your motivation, then? Is it different?"

"I have a boyfriend, sorry," Ariadne said, but there was a laugh in her voice. It wasn't that she minded being flirted with, necessarily, but she liked Misha and didn't want to do anything to jeopardize one of the nicer things in her life. Flirting with other dudes just because Misha wasn't around was definitely going to do that.
His mention of "generators" made her wrinkle her nose, and she tilted her head tot he side. "What generators? Did something happen at the power plant, or something?" That was the only place she could think of with generators....Apparently, plenty of weird s**t went down while she wasn't paying attention.
"Anyway, uh. We really want to build our own space, you know? You guys and the Negaverse, you're fighting over Earth--but we have a world in Mirrorspace, which is like, a magical realm uh. Beyond...mirrors? I can't show you, but it exists, I promise. And we're kinda building it up and stuff, so we have that when stuff inevitably goes to s**t here." She frowned. "Not to make us sound like doomsday preppers or whatever, but, you know."

Abzu snickered, putting a hand up in turn. "Fair enough, fair enough. I'll keep the flirting to a minimum." He was generally a flirtatious person, but he did also respect boundaries. No reason to cause offense for a whole other reason other than being Neptunian-- Oh. She didn't know the generator thing at all. Was she too new or were there not any members of the Dark Mirror Chaos there at all? "Ah, no, there was a whole thing with the aliens and the Negaverse where they were trying to corrupt us and blow up an asteroid with generators?" Curious. Mirrorspace was also curious, and there was a part of him that was innately disappointed he couldn't peer into it, but he'd have to take her word for it. It tracked that these people of Chaos had their own spaces. The Negaverse had the literal Negaverse, for example. People of the Dark Mirror had their own space, the Mirrorspace. "It is a bit doomsday prepper, but I can respect it." He winked again, but it didn't come with the flirtiness this time. "It's good to have a place to run to, I think. Not sure I'd do that, like living on this planet too much, but." There wasn't really much of anything on Neptune that he had seen other than darkness. Couldn't exactly just run to it as an escape-- "Did Chaos create this world for you, or is it just there?" He pursed his lips in curiosity. "Interesting that your power source is similar if the source is both taking from this place and protecting from it..."

Ariadne did not feel less confused. "A-aliens?? Like, actual, literal aliens? What???" The befuddlement in her tone was obvious, congruent with her face, and just....
What? Actual aliens? That was a real thing? All the other threads of their conversation dropped from her mind, because she was focused, suddenly, on the far more interesting and puzzling thing that he had presented her with.
"I dunno who created it, you'd have to ask someone who's been around longer," she said, waving a hand. "Look for people with black, feathery buttwings, those are Dark Mirror Eternals and they'll probably know what they're talking about." Hopefully that was enough information. "But enough about us. Tell me about these aliens. what happened? Are they still around, d'you know?"

Alright, look for the people with dark feathery buttwings, noted... Hopefully, they would just come across his path. If the Dark Mirror had a way of keeping to themselves, he doubted they'd be as easy to come across as fellow knights and agents were. That sounded like even more work, but he was willing to put a pin in it for now. He was increasingly wondering if Chaos was truly just ... Chaos. It seemed to be acting against itself, or maybe just deciding which ones it actually liked-- Thankfully for Ariadne, Abzu had talked to Pendour recently, who had given him more context for that-- "Yeah, real aliens. Pastel skin, pointed ears, I couldn't see them that well from where I was standing but their eyes seemed kinda bright, too." He didn't know about the slitted pupils aspect, unfortunately. "They're called the Velencians, apparently? I was just calling them space elves or pastel friends until I was corrected." It seemed accurate enough-- "I think they're still around? Pendour said something about how some of them are still here, anyway. Don't really know how you'd find one, but they look straight out of sci-fi."

Ariadne nodded, as he spoke. She was wide-eyed and fascinated, listening to what he had to say. Apparently, there were real whole aliens on Earth, and they were pastel elves, or at least that was how it sounded. She would have to actually start looking for them; that was something she just could not afford to miss out on.
"That's wild," she said, shaking her head. "Velencians, okay. That's not...anything like what I've ever seen before. Wonder if I'll get to meet one?" Oh, she hoped so, she wanted to talk to a real space alien. She could already think of a million questions she'd want to ask.
"I'll keep an eye out, then! Thanks!"

How fascinated she was with the aliens was kinda cute, actually. It was too bad he couldn't be too, considering that he was worried about them teaming up with the Negaverse and murdering him. Too much trouble. Damn did he wish he could be, though--"I imagine they're keeping to themselves too, considering the whole, uh, generator thing," he tapped his finger to his lips. "I haven't gone looking, though. I hope you do run into one on your patrols. Be careful, though. Not really sure what their alliance is besides for with the Negaverse at the moment..." Though that might protect her, considering she was Chaos. That might explain some of their motivations, being Chaos meant they'd be left alone by Chaos, probably... "And thank you! I appreciate knowing not all of you are after my starseed." He chuckled. "I'll keep my eyes out for one with the feathery buttwings." Abzu took a step back, a twinkle in his eyes. "I'll leave you to your stargazing? Or the Velencian seeking."

Ariadne nodded. That probably made sense, if something had gone really wrong and there had been a battle. And obviously there couldn't be all that many of them, since....like, how did you get a whole alien force down to Earth, anyway?
"I hope they decide to play nice with me," she said, "I really do wanna know more." About everything. She had to step up her information gathering, she thought--there were far too many interesting things out there for her to keep idling, it seemed.
"Look out for yourself, Abzu!" She said. "Hope we run into each other again!"
She gave him a jaunty little wave. Let him keep patrolling, she'd.....get back to it eventually. Or maybe just go home and go to bed, tomorrow was a workout day and she'd need to be rested.
