It was again that happy time of the evening where Tortali made her way to punch the chaos out of people. Not that it had worked yet, but still. One of these days it would, she just had to make her punches stronger, and then she would gain the ability. Or. Whatever.
There was a chaotic aura nearby, and Tortali moved towards it, frowning slightly due to the fact it felt so..small.
Was this just going to be a weak little thing that she would be able to punch the chaos out of? Or…
Or had she just gotten stronger?
Obviously, she wanted to believe that it was she who had grown, but there was no real way to know if that was the case or not. Of course, when she arrived to where the aura was, she didn't see anyone around, but…there was…
Something.
Twistin, Tortali scowled, and finally saw a cat perched on a low tree branch, just watching her. And when her eyes landed on the star that adorned its forehead, she felt her stomach plummet. “Wait, no. Those bastards found a way to ******** with the guardian cats to? Soyala liked to keep her eye on Senshi, because one never knew when a Senshi on the other side might finally make the right choice and come home. This one, though, this was....hm, terrible unpleasant, if her greeting was anything to go by.
"How rude," Soyala said. "Who did you think looked after Chaos senshi? You poor darlings are lost without us Guardian Cats, so of course the Negaverse wants a few of us." She wasn't eager to get off her branch, especially because she felt like this Senshi might be hostile, but she could observe and have a chat.
"And don't you think I might have my own opinion on whether or not I was...what did you ******** with'? Because I'm quite happy how I am, darling."

“Happy or not, you’re tainted with chaos. That’s not an ideal state for anyone, and the chaos senshi shouldn’t be looked after...they should be saved.”
Tortali hesitated and after a moment of deliberation, she crossed over to where the cat lay, holding out her arms. “I can help you. Chaos shouldn’t pollute you, and you should have the chance to get out. To be who you’re supposed to be. Before they…”
She hesitated, a strange expression crossing her face before she shook her head slightly as though to clear it. “Before they stole you away. You deserve better. You’re beautiful, and my Girlfriend and I will take such good care of you, it’s not even funny. You’ll be loved and ever so spoiled…so…that should be a good enough reason to leave, right? I mean…You deserve the world.”
It was a nice speech, and Tortali had more hope than she should have been allowed after giving it. She wanted to be able to rescue someone. And actions were spotty at best so…perhaps this time words would…do something.
…Most likely not, but. She couldn’t punch a cat.

The words were very pretty. Soyala wouldn't lie. She listened, and let the Senshi give her little speech, and she did even take a moment to turn it over in her mind, but after a long moment, she stretched, leapt off her perch, and, tail swishing, regarded the Senshi with displearuee.
"Absolutely not," she said, firmly. "I will not be tempted to abandon my duty with pretty promises and sweet words. I have earned the trust of Queen Laurelite herself, and my charges in the Negaverse and the Dark Mirror need me." Perhaps she was exaggerating a bit, but certainly she had worked with the General-Sovereigns more than once, and she had been welcomed in on the special project with the weapon....yes, Soyala was quite certain that she was at least regarded well by her fellows. And trhere was no way she was going to give that up.
"Why don't you scurry home, darling? I see you're not interested in making the right choice, and I'd rather not listen to you clumsily try to win me over."
Even if Soya did like attention. But she got plenty of it anyway.

Tortali felt almost gleeful when she watched the cat leap…but the feeling faded almost at once when she did not land in her own arms…but rather landed like she was going to leave. Who did…who did this cat think she was? Obviously she had no idea of how much it cost Tortali to even extend such an offer of friendship but…
To be spurned so…heavily. So completely…
For a moment, Tortali saw red. “The right choice? And what is the right choice? Let myself become tainted with Chaos? Sink into the darkness myself?” She gave an ugly laugh, hands curling into fists. “I’m far too good for the darkness, kitty cat. It had its chance to get me and obviously it decided that I wasn’t worth struggling for. What do you think of that, you spoiled brat?”
Oh.
Even with Anella’s words. Even with her reassurances…there was a small part of Tortali that…what? Was unhappy that she had been overlooked? That she hadn’t been…
Chosen.
No, Stolen.

Ah. This Senshi was reacting very badly to her offer being spurned. What a spoiled brat--not that Soya had much room to talk, she knew, she was pretty spoiled herself, but...well. This was not the right kind of spoiled, clearly.
She wiggled her entire body, and stretched, long and slow, and regarded the Senshi with all the contempt she could muster for someone who ought ot be one of her charges. How rude, to reject Chaos's embrace. How utterly idiotic, to continue persevering in a war that was practically already lost.
"You," Soyala said, "must have been cast aside as unworthy. How unfortunate." Her tail swished. "More unfortunate for you, I don't have time to entertain your little tantrum. I have places to be, darling." With that, she focused, and called upon her kitty laser beam, aiming it for the Senshi's leg. Numb it, make her unable to run, and then bolt off and disappear into the night. There were other Senshi much more worth pursuing.

Tortali opened her mouth, intending to rebuff the words, to say that she was good enough, thank you very much…but then the cat…attacked her with a ******** head laser, and as Tortali’s leg went numb, the anger once more began to roar up.
How…how dare she. What…a b***h.
But. She was gone, and Tortali could do nothing more than stamp her tingling leg until it stopped feeling so…wrong, and then she turned away, glad that the cat was gone so she could wipe the frustrated tears from her eyes, but she headed in the other direction, thoughts filled with anger and…a deep unhappiness that she was trying very hard to push away.
She was better than Chaos.
…She was.

As soon as the Senshi was down, Soyala bolted. She would report back on this one, perhaps, see if she could get her feet wet entering things into the database. She'd never really tried, since...paws, but perhaps a cooperative Senshi or officer would be willing to do it on her behalf.
People needed to be warned. Or, perhaps, encouraged. If she was so angry at not having been brought into the Negaverse....maybe they could fix that little mistake.
