Lonnie walked Ei with him towards his house. It was a nice one, obviously. The very idea that Lonnie would have anything that wasn’t high class was…rather laughable.
Letting her into the living room, he gestured at one of the couches. “Make yourself at home, Ei. What are you in the mood to eat?” Without much thought he opened a delivery app on his phone and tossed it to the woman. “Heck on it, pick what you want. Don’t worry about prices. But I want something with noodles, there’s a fantastic ramen shop, if you pick it, get me some of the cream cheese wantons too, okay?” He grinned and made his way to his room, bustling around and grabbing all that would be needed. A sketch book, his camera and a tape measure along with a pencil that looked like it had been through a lot.
When he joined her back in the room he nodded to her. “All right, I’m ready, when you’re finished ordering dinner, we’’ll get the measuring out of the way and we can talk designs. I know that measurements can be uncomfortable so, no worries. I’m pretty quick, and very good at satisfying my clients.”

All of this was a bit of a whirlwind, for Ei. She hadn't exactly made many firmness, since her transition to the Negaverse--and Lionel was, she got the impression, a bit of a whirlwind of a human being.
(It reminded her of something, or someone. She couldn't be sure what--just a warm feeling of fond, frustrated nostalgia at being tugged along on an adventure, even though she couldn't quite place the memory exactly. One of the many things lost to the abyss of her erased past, she supposed.)
Once they were inside, she caught the tossed phone and sat down on the couch, humming. "Ramen sounds excellent,." she said. "Do you want anything other than the wontons?" She scanned the app, spotted what she suspected was the right place, and began browsing the menu. It seemed polite not to overspend, but there was...a lot, and all of it sounded very good. Eventually, she settled on a ramen bowl and an appetizer of pork chashu buns, plus the cream cheese wontons Lionel had mentioned.
She wondered if she'd eaten here frequently, before.
"I expect this will all be very professional," Ei said, when he returned, "and I look forward to seeing what you create." A bespoke wardrobe seemed like an adventure, certainly.

“Yeah, I’ll take some noodles too, whatever you got, get me a second one, please.” Lionel set his things down on the coffee table and nodded. “Completely professional, like I said, this is my work. My passion. I honestly live for it. Being creative and seeing other people look as great as I do is…”
He searched for the right thing to say, so that she would really understand…but ended up just shrugging. “I was born to do this. I would never take advantage of one of my clients, no matter what.”
Even if it was Faustite or Albite…but then again, he wasn’t sure that would truly fall under the umbrella of ‘taking advantage of’.
“When you’re ready, take off as much as you feel comfortable with and I’ll get your measurements first, and we can get that out of the way, after that, I would love to see as much of your tattoo as you’d be willing to share with me, and I’ll get to sketching! At some point, we’ll eat, and I’ll keep sketching. I hope to have at least two things sketched for your approval before you leave tonight.”

With the request, Ei added the second bowl of ramen to the order and sent it off. His reassurance made her nod, and she gave him a small smile.
"I would like to find something that makes me feel as passionately as you feel for this." She wondered if she had it, before. If the woman who had been a private investigator had loved that, or her martial arts, or something else that was now lost to Ei with the intensity that Lionel gave to his work.
She would never know. But that was yet one more thing she would have to build anew.
"So, let us begin." She stood, and peeled off her clothes, down to her bra and boyshorts, and waited. Measurements required accuracy, she knew that much; no reason to fool around and be shy. Plus, it would let Lionel see the extent of her tattoos.

Lionel grinned and nodded, beginning to take her measurements, going swiftly and jotting down all of the information that he would need as he did so, all while taking in the tattoos. They were splendid, and the fact that they covered such a large area was impressive. He wished he could ask the normal questions, such as how long it took and where they were done, but…Ei wouldn’t remember. That was from another life, and Lionel didn’t want to bring up anything painful.
When the measurements were finished, he put the tape measure down and flopped onto the couch. “All right, got what I needed from that. You can redress again, or whatever you’d like to do. But I would appreciate as much of the tattoos showing for the moment, if that’s okay?”
He was already sketching, making a quick sketch of a body and adding scribbles where the artwork lived,
“Do you prefer pants or skirts? What do you enjoy wearing? What’s the most comfortable for you?”

Ei let him look, and let him measure, and at his rtequest, she sat back down; it wasn't as if she was less covered than she would be, say, at the beach. And the interest he displayed in her tattoos made her feel warm--they had clearly been important, to take so long to do, and to get them so extensively covered.
She would have to do some research, she thought, to better understand what they might have meant.
"As long as you need to look," Ei offered, casually. This was a discussion between friends, after all. "I prefer skirts, and generally fashion that leans more overtly feminine. Nothing too over-the-top--ruffles and lace are not my style, per se. But skirts, and blouses, generally."

Lionel nodded, his eyes flickering to her every few moments as he scribbled. “Good to know, no ruffles or lace…though I have to say, some lace would be…” He gave a wistful sigh. “I’ll show you when I have it fully designed, but I do have an idea for some lace, I think it would compliment the artwork so well…but if you don’t like it that’s perfectly fine!”
He would like it. It would look good, and he would like it, but. He wouldn’t force her to take it.
Skirts and blouses he could do with ease, ah. There were so many ideas popping in his head, it was almost as though he were a movie theater popcorn machine. “I’m just going to do the rough sketches of things tonight, but I’ll send you the finished sketches and fabric samples…either that or we could just meet up again. I kind of like the idea of meeting up again. You seem like a fantastic friend to have, and I’m not saying that just because you’re going to let me design a wardrobe for you.”
Well, maybe that was some of it, but not all. Not by a long shot.

Ei thought. "Perhaps some lace," she acknowledge.d "I will see what you present--you are the expert, after all." And it weas always smart to bow to those with more knowledge. If it was not to her liking, she would simply say so when it was finished.
All in all, it seemed her encounter with Celadonite had been quite lucky--she had her first real friend in the Negaverse, and he was knowledgeable, thoughtful, and charming. A pleasure, truly, to be around.
"I would be glad to meet up again and go over the specifics in person. It seems wiser, yes?" And easier for them to really dig into the details. "And I enjoy spending time with you. Which I am also not saying only because you have offered to design me a wardrobe." She laughed.
This....yes, this would be wonderful.

Lionel nodded and gave another grin, still scribbling away. “Perfect. Then it’s settled and after tonight I’ll see you again soon.” He was glad that he had run into her. She was stunning and he would be able to make a fantastic wardrobe that showed it all off.
It would be utterly and completely perfect.
…And the fact that they were going to have noodles soon was just the icing on the cake.
