Daphne felt that she'd learned enough from Adria and Soleiyu to start powering up without immediately being found and destroyed by the Negaverse, the form that Chaos on this world apparently took. It was never going to be perfectly safe, but that was a risk she was willing to take.
She was going to need to find other Senshi and Knights to be her allies if she was going to do anything about the Chaos on her own world. Adria was wonderful but she didn't think that he was going to be enough.
Of course, it wasn't going to be that simple. Nearly as soon as she'd pulled out her pen and henshined up into her colorful dress, she could feel the strange dark aura near the edge of her senses.
Well, then. It was probably good that since she'd started learning about Earth's Negaverse problems, she'd been watching videos on how to fight and practicing what she could.
There on the sidewalk, Daphne started to warm up while she waited to see what the aura would do, first rolling her shoulders and then stretching out one arm at a time.

There were many things that Akaganeite considered herself well prepared for. She was getting used, she thought, to the varied but often similar look of Order's forces. But as she rounded a corner to approach one, what she saw made her blink in surprise.
"Are you a Mauvian?" She asked, almost without thinking--she'd seen them around Negaspace, when she had occasion to spend time there, and the tail immediately put her in that mind, but--no, this--felt like a Senshi? Anmd she wasn't certain she'd ever seen a Mauvian that was...well, more of a nekomimi than purely a cat....
What, exactly, was she looking at? Kaga was genuinely unsure.

A Mauvian? Really? Daphne wouldn't have been happy with that assumption from anyone, but she might have been gentler in correcting someone else. This woman, however, was a walking beacon of Chaos. Now that she was close, Daphne could feel it in her stomach. Her tail stuck out straight behind her and puffed up. " No," she hissed. "I'm Daphnean." Then she stepped forwards and punched, trying to remember the tips she'd seen in the videos about fighting she'd been watching. Her back muscles were held tight, and her thumb was to the side of her fist, not tucked under her fingers.

Apparently, the question was offensive. Akaganeite certainly wouldn't know, but at least she had an answer: not a Mauvian, a Daphnean.
Whatever that meant.
It certainly meant she wasn't human, though, with that puffed out tail.
The attack was, perhaps, the most expected thing about this whole conversation. Apparently, even strange alien Senshi threw punches first and asked questions never. Akaganeite sighed as she moved out of the way of the punch, and swung one of her own towards the Senshi's gut as a quick response. Her goal was to incapacitate--though as she thought about it, perhaps it would be best to drag things out. There was much to learn about this stranger, it seemed.

Daphne might not have had much chance to actually fight before just now, but she was hardly a stranger to pain. She'd been the type who was always running around with skinned knees and blistered feet. Sometimes she fell out of trees or off rooftops. She'd broken bones. So when the fist hit her stomach, which it did, since she'd forgotten to block, she hissed and grunted and she stumbled backwards, but she didn't panic. She didn't run. "I don't understand you either," she said through gritted teeth. "There's Chaos in you." This time, she tried kicking out. Maybe that would be harder to dodge? "Why?" Adria had explained some things about the Negaverse, but she'd still take any firsthand information she could get.

Akaganeite had intended to fight in silence, but a question was a question--and she'd asked one, so she might as well answer. Even though the kick connected, and it hurt, and sent her stumbling a few steps backward.
"I have Chaos in me," she said, and she drew her wooden sword and held it between them, a defensive wall, "because I was chosen, and changed. The Negaverse took an abandoned Page and remade her." That was a simplification. A glorification. She had been swept up as one of a dozen, and lost everything in the process. But she was better now. She had to believe that, or it was all for naught.
"And you? How did you get to Earth? You clearly aren't from here."

Daphne looked at the sword. It was wooden and only so intimidating, but even so she did not attack again. Not yet. She thought about the way that Chaos had changed the people of her world. She thought about how it had made them first snap at each other, then fight, and then kill. She thought about the way that people she'd known for years had chased her thought the savanna with makeshift weapons and death in their eyes. She wondered if they had felt remade. She hadn't, but then again her planet had been protecting her from the worst of the influence. "Earth called me," she said. "I don't know how else to explain it. I think I was sleeping, or dying, when I felt the invitation. I woke up here."

Akaganeitye nodded, slowly. Called, somehow. That was interesting information--important information. How many were like her? Was she the only one who had been so called, or were there other aliens running around the city?
Ugh, she would have to check the database to see if anyone else had reported anything like this. Forewarned was forearmed, after all. And she would have to make her own report.
She mentally noted down identifying features. Tail. Rainbow spots.
"I see," she said. "Did you come here alone? Or are there others with you?" Another alien species could spell serious trouble, especially if these aliens were enemies.

"I don't know," said Daphne simply, her voice edging a bit sharper because this was starting to seem less like simple curiosity and more like an interrogation. She still didn't punch. She was still trying to process the part where this woman had been a Page, because she wasn't sure if that made things better or worse. "Although, with how everyone is reacting to my tail like it's such a shock, I'd be surprised if more of my people are here. Now-" She tightened her fists, but then uncurled them and held out her palms. " Kinship," she said. "I'm leaving," she added, after giving the magic a moment to kick in. "I need to think." Seeing Chaos firsthand like this was making her stomach twist more than she'd thought it might. Noir Songbird Sailor Scout Attack: Kinship Daphne calls out the name of her attack with her arms outstretched towards a target within ten feet. The target's eyes glow lavender and they feel a sense of kinship with Daphne. This can manifest as her mannerisms or appearance reminding them of a specific family member or loved one, but in all cases targets feel warm inside looking at her, like Daphne is someone to be cherished. These effects lessen somewhat if she attacks them physically while the magic is active. The effects last 30 seconds and she can use this attack three times per battle.

Akaganeite wanted to ask more questions. Wanted to learn everything she could, so that she could bring it back, but--
The magic stopped her in her tracks. This senshi was....lost. Alone. On an unfamiliar planet, and who knew if she had any assistance. It made Kaga's heart ache, and she nodded slowly when she said she needed time to think.
"I understand. I would like to speak to you again, another time," she said, and she turned to leave.
What a strange encounter. Certainly a memorable one, though.
