How This Works

Match Cards
Matches will be regularly posted and added for the weekly show: XLL Off The Record.

Highlight Matches
Player vs. Enhancement: These for the most part will be considered normal matches where you will be writing your matches with your character facing an enhancement talent. These matches can have as little or as much detail as you wish but understand that the more you put into the product, the more you’ll get back.

Uncut Matches
Player vs. Player: These are the traditional matches we were used to in the past. You will collaborate with a fellow RPer to write a full match.

Each show will be approximately two weeks long and will feature at least one Uncut match. If things pick up and people are able to quickly finish their matches, we may move to one week shows.

A Solo Experience is possible!

You have the option to opt out of Uncut matches entirely in order to tell a story exactly to your vision. However, you will be limited to how far you’re able to climb in the promotion—meaning no achievements like winning tournaments or championships, but you could still headline PPVs if your storyline is especially good!

PPVs

Pay-Per-View events are held four times a year: December, March, June, and October, with the later being reserved for the XLL flagship event. While show match cards normally feature one Uncut match, a PPV will be almost entirely made up of Uncut matches.

Tokyo Deathtrap (Dec)

King of the Jungle (Mar)
Held at Ginasio do Maracanzinho in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Tussle in Texas (Jul)
Held at the Alamodome in San Antonio, TX, USA.

Powercade: Day of the Dead (Oct)
Held at Arena Ciudad de México in Mexico City, Mexico.

Promos and Segments

Promo is short for Promotional Interview. This is when your character is asked questions and insight on a topic or match. A personal monologue during a show is also considered a promo.

A Segment is essentially anything else that features a character during a show that isn't a match or a promo. This can be anything from an interaction between characters or a completely over the top comedic incident.

This is also the forum where you post any event outside of a wrestling show! This could involve characters at home, social media, web shows, anything that contributes to your character's development outside the ring.

Rules for Uncut Matches

Uncut matches maybe written out in collaboration with the player character or maybe posted out in a match thread, played out by posting each action of your player character. The post by post match option can be thought of as a turn based RPG where you plan out your attack and your opponent decides if it the action is successful and how to sell it.

1. God Modding: God Modding is the unauthorized controlling of the other player character. Unless stated in the few exceptions below, in no way will you control the actions, thoughts, or speech of another player character.

2. Selling: Selling is that reaction to an attack. Understand that not everyone will not reaction to an attack the same way and not all attacks will have the same reactions. No-selling is when a attack seems to do no damage, and over-selling is when an attack does damage to nearly a comedic level. There are exceptions, such as finishers and constant no-selling to make an opponent look weak without permission, it's aggravating and not tolerated.

3. Finishers: Finishers are just that, moves that end matches. Sell them accordingly. Unless your opponent has given you permission, don't kick out of a finisher. The exception would be a submission finisher where a simple rope grab is sufficient, but still sell accordingly.

4. Auto-hit: If someone does not post within 48 hours, then one auto-hit is authorized. This means that the first attack, if there was more than one, hits automatically in order to move things along. An actual attack had to in attempt in the previous post to have an Auto-hit, otherwise just post to move things along, i.e. Auto-recover.

5. Winning: Traditional 48/72hr/ect. auto-wins do not exist in this promotion. In the end, you and your opponent finish a match through collaboration. Things like pinfall and submission victories will be earned in this guild. If I have to decide a winner in order to meet the deadline and move the story forward, then most likely the more active will win and it'll probably be through non-definitive means like DQ, ring-out, ect.

Addressing a few recent Questions

Recruitment?

This is a weird one. This isn't meant to be a traditional G-Fed, I cannot stress that enough. I will only be putting as much effort into this as I have time for. If you're looking for something with new talent to revive a dead community, this is not the place for you. I'm not against anyone wanting to invite someone new or old into the guild, but that's entirely up to you. I ain't lookin'!

- If you do have someone who may be interested in joining, have them send me a private message or let Fox know.

Bans?

Do I really need to ban people? I'm not putting out a list of rules to follow to avoid being banned. Just don't be a d**k or a pain to deal with.. This will most likely be a small community so I want it to be a healthy one. Do we all have to be friends and get along? In short the answer no, but fundamentally the answer is yes. This is supposed to be a drama free, stress free environment. Work out whatever issues you have because it's not welcome here. So I will be personally talking with anyone who I believe is causing problems and we'll go from there.

Purpose?

This guild is meant for anyone who wants to continue writing stories, or maybe have a few final dream matches. I've set this up so that anyone can write stories on their own, or with a collaborator, in a stress free environment. There will be very few time constraints and you can work at your own pace. Whenever you feel the need to jump in or out.

I'm hoping this clears up any future misconceptions.
