Jasiri paced back and fourth in front of bride rock, her ears back, and a worried expression plastered across her face. She had been doing this almost every day for the past two weeks Zenoni had been gone. Thoughts raced through he mind at the speed of light. Did he run away? Did someone steal him? Is he dead? Injured? Afraid? She let out a moan, and sat down in the soft sandy dirt. What was she to do? He second born son missing? She had searched the whole savvanh atleast three times already, and still there was no sign of him. Was she a bad mother? Did the other lioness think so? Losing you child was hardly something to be praised for. She got up and set off to look for the other children. If she couldnt find her child, she would atleast refrain from losing any others.

Kimba was an obvious one to be seen, palling around with his father who was dragging a large gazelle carcass.
The male had just turned into an adolescent, but still held that wonderfully gentle attitude of his, probably because he hadn't settled down and found a nice girl.
But there was alway's time.
His father was less enthusiastic, he too had noted Zenoni's disapearance and was quite afraid for his second born son.
However, he let his first born tuck into eating part of the gazelle while he looked out for the rest of his family.
Ear's and bright eye's turning toward's his beloved mate.
Kimba's did also, only to smile.
"Hi mama!"
