Perhaps she should have taken someone with her up to Lysithea on her first trip…back. But…she didn’t want to. Everyone was still so…clingy and…she just wanted to find a place that she could go and be alone and not worry about being ambushed or attacked or…well. Whatever. Besides…this was her homeworld. Her…home. Right? She should be able to go when she wanted to. Be able to spend time here and just…relax.
So that was how Lysithea ended up in the park, fiddling with her senshi phone and finally pressing down on the home button.
The feeling of teleporting…oh. Wow that was something she missed each and every day. The freedom to just go. To not worry about the travel and just…go. It was honestly…the only thing she missed, though when Lysithea opened her eyes again, all thoughts of missing anything from when she was corrupted flew out the window.
This…was far beyond what she would have ever imagined, and as she looked around, staring at the pale lavender grasses, the beautiful trees with pink and purple flowers…it was just…it was all a lot. But it was so good. Comforting.
Swallowing back sudden tears, Lysithea began to walk slowly, gazing around at her homeworld. At Lysithea.
It was beautiful. And it was hers. It was safe and it was just…it was home. She was home. Quietly, she began walking slowly, gazing around as the grasses swayed in the light breeze. Yes, she could imagine having picnics up here. She could imagine doing all sorts of things…and for a moment, she felt a stab of envy at her former self. She had memories up here, memories that she no longer had. It wasn’t fair. To have lost so much…and to have no way of getting it back. Sure, she supposed it had bothered her when she was with her…with the Negaverse, but she had tried so hard to just put it out of her mind. She believed what Faustite told her…and it had all been lies, so who was really to say that these people weren’t just feeding her their lies.
The very idea of that made Lysithea feel a little lightheaded, and she swallowed hard and sat down before her weakening knees gave way.
That. Couldn’t be how things were. Though, honestly there wasn’t much that would really surprise her anymore. Not after all that she had been through…and perhaps this was…fine. Perhaps this would just mean that she would do things on her own. Keep her own council. Trust in her own thoughts and feelings.
At least until she knew that they weren’t lying. At least until she had actual proof that they weren’t just pulling pretty stories out of thin air like Faustite had.
Lysithea crawled slowly over to a tree and rested back against it, breathing deeply. Getting worked up again wasn’t going to help anything. Zac had said that they couldn’t be lying. But wasn’t he the biggest risk of someone actually lying? It was all so messed up. All of this was just so messed up.
”Soleiyu, no! You little ball of mischief, you know I don’t like gold, I don’t know why you insist on making me everything in that color, it just doesn’t go with my style! Make something for Malus instead. Gold works with him and his clothing!”
She stiffened at the voice and looked up, to see a hazy image of a silver haired senshi…though she had ears on the top of her head, and a long tail coming from behind her, and on her forehead was an actual horn, with her tiara hanging under it.
Curled around the senshi’s shoulders was a very familiar looking mass of white fluff, and Lysithea couldn’t help but stare. It was obviously Soleiyu and…this…was this who she had been…in the past? This wasn’t something she had ever expected and it stunned her past the point where she remembered that she was wallowing, her tears beginning to dry on her cheeks as she heard the Mauvian give a laugh and say something that she couldn’t quite catch to the other Lysithea, presumably something about the merits of gold versus silver…which…
It almost seemed to make sense…her music box was gold while the rest on her fuku was silver, wasn’t it?
Swallowing, she strained her ears, hoping to hear more from this…ghost? Phantom? Vision?
Whatever it was.
Unfortunately though, it vanished after another moment and she swallowed, slumping back against the tree.
It…proved a few things though. Kind of. Soleiyu did know her…and Malus too. If they knew her in the…past…past…then…maybe they weren’t just telling tales about knowing her now. Maybe she could trust them. Should trust them and figure out what to do to move forward with things…and to not resent them for caring about her.
That was the biggest issue, wasn’t it. She was resenting those who tried to make sure she was okay, when she didn’t feel okay, she wanted to feel okay but…
Right now Lysithea had no idea how to feel okay. And that was truly terrifying. But…
Lysithea drew in a deep breath and moved to her feet, still resting against the tree for support and wiping at her eyes which had decided to become weepy again.
She would have to find herself. That was something she knew she had to do, but the idea of where to start had been muddled…Zac had been right. She was stretching herself too thin and trying to please everyone. If she was going to come out of this stable and…somewhat normal…she’d have to figure out who she was. Again. Before trying to be anyone else.
It would be easier in an apartment. Easier to be away from everyone for a while. To have her own space…to bake again. Perhaps she could start helping Evan out in the food truck too.
It was time to begin to live again, instead of just wallowing.
