Akio Kashiwagi (Foster Father)
»»» BACKGROUND:
Abandoned as a child Akio Kashiwagi grew up homeless, wandering the streets and scrounging and begging to meet his needs and was known as Minō. This went on until he found himself at a fair, and saw a man who entranced him. This man, sitting on the street with a cup full of money that he earned with nothing more than a ball and three cups. Minō stood there all day, and when the man was packing up, he called to Minō, asking if he would like to take a turn, promising him a game for free. Of everyone, Minō was the first person who saw the trick, from watching all day, he had begun to see how this man palmed the ball and swindled everyone who came by. Amused, the man inquired about him, and Minō told him the little bit of story he had to tell. With this the man took Minō under his wing, finding the boy promising, and told him he would teach him all the tricks of the trade.

Minō spent years with this man who he only knew as Akio Kashiwagi, teaching him sleight of hand, different games, all the rules, and how to break them. It was during this time that Minō had found out his quirk, and how to use it effectively. Akio Kashiwagi, with his own quirk, quickly helped Minō expand beyond just swindling, and the two became a villainous pair, swindling and stealing all over the town, Akio Kashiwagi and Minnow.

Eventually, after a lot of big wins, they wanted to go all in. Akio Kashiwagi did his sweet talking and Minō was more than happy to accompany his mentor who he had begun to see like a father figure. They were to work with a local gang, and participate in an underground gambling ring and split all the winnings. Sadly, they underestimated who they were playing with. While they were the better gamblers and cheaters, they were not the better fighters. A full scale battle broke out, only stopped by the interference of heroes.

Akio Kashiwagi was hospitalized, and Minō was arrested and put into Juvie where he remained for 1 year until Akio Kashiwagi awoke. No longer able to gamble in the state he was in, he took credit for everything, and was able to make a plea deal in order to reduce Minō’s sentence and get him released into the Custody of UA, getting to meet with Akio Kashiwagi one more time before he was to depart to U.A. Minō took their parting words to heart: “Make friends, have fun, decide who you are and win big!”. Upon entering the U.A. Minō decided to take on the name Akio Kashiwagi, and the costumed name of Shark.

Gambler:
The user names a game, who will be playing, what the ante is, and the rules. Once all the groundwork has been set, the game begins. While the game is being played, players are forbidden from breaking the rules until the game has been completed. Once the game is over, the winner will collect the Ante, and can impose a penalty on all parties until they pay up.

Rules of the quirk:
People must agree to play a game
Akio cannot wager what he does not have
Only one game can be happening at a time
Akio must be a participant in the game, his role in the game cannot change until the game ends.
All rules are forcibly enforced i.e. “if a game has the rule quirks aren’t allowed, participants will have their quirks sealed until the game is finished.”
Participants can ante different things, but they must all be equal to the highest wager.

All but one player is unable to continue
All but one player drops out
If a time-limit was enforced, the time limit has ended.
All players agree to give up.
In the case of a draw, the game is canceled.
