Date Night

Love is in the air and it is exhausting. It seems everyone is so excited to meet someone new and see if they 'click'. To the point where this new trend has spread across Tendaji - Blind Dates.
The concept is pretty simple - you have a friend (or a matchmaker) set up a date with someone you've never met before. Some find this exhilarating - a chance to go beyond the same old and meet someone new. But others see this as unnecessary anxiety forced upon them by their friends or society's pressure.
Either way, you find yourself set up on a date not of your choosing, with a stranger who you've never met before. This could either be the person of your dreams...or a big mistake. Guess the only thing you can do is see where this date takes you.

For those who are already in a relationship, it's hard to host a 'blind date', but you can get close. It's time to surprise your significant other with a night date, just the two of you. No family, no children, just a chance to spend time with the one you love.
[ It's date night! This prompt should include a date with a stranger, either set up by your friends or by a matchmaker. If you're RPing your character with another, we ask that it be someone new (within reason to where your character is currently located). If you're RPing alone, create a new NPC and see where the night takes you.
Who knows, maybe this will be your character's future partner...or maybe an awkward enemy. What's the harm in the name of love?
For those who have characters already in a relationship, we're instead looking for a "Surprise Date" where one of the partners surprises the other with ad ate experience. ]

Kylaelya 1
He supposed it was fair that the garden club had set him up on a blind date for missing a few meetings in a row. His seedlings had needed him was apparently not an adequate excuse for missing three in a row.
So like a good sport he humored them and had even brought a few packets of his favorite plant varieties as a gift for whoever had been set up with him. He figured it was a nice personal touch at the least and they could always give them to someone else if they didn't like gardening.
He waited at the beachside cafe where he had been told to stay.

Nedelle walked through the town square thinking on the conversation that had led her to her date today. She didn't understand why she let Zaeryn talk her into such things, but with a shrug of her shoulders she brushed away any negative feelings. It would be a good break from rehearsing, she told herself.
Things were picking up with the circus and they were setting out to hit the road on their world tour in just a few days. So there was plenty to do back at the compound, and it was on her mind, but she would enjoy her spontaneous day off.
She entered the breezy cafe with its open walls and looked around for who she was supposed to meet. She had been told his name was 'Kylaelya' though she didn't know anything else or how she was supposed to recognize him in this crowd of people.

Kylaelya 2 He saw a lovely lady come in looking lost. Perhaps that was his date? He walked over and introduced himself. "Hi there my name is Kylaelya, would you happen to be here for a blind date? Because if so I'm your man." He prayed to all of the gods that this was the right woman. Please...he would die if he had gotten the wrong girl. He wasn't all that social on the day to day but he could try. "Do you have a favorite drink? I figured we could get a drink and take a beach walk if that sounds good? Or did you have an idea? This is my first time dating and I confess, I don't know how exactly."

A water boy with long hair came up and introduced himself. That was her date. Though he seemed nervous and she just couldn't resist. "Oh dear, I think you have the wrong person." She held her breath for just a second before she couldn't keep her joke together any more. "I'm just kidding! I'm Nedelle. Yes! I think we're looking for each other."
He offered his plans for the date and she didn't have any objections. "A drink and a walk sounds nice." She gestured toward the bar, still talking to him as she closed the gap between entrance and server. "Yeah, I usually like a refreshing mint water, but on a date, maybe something more daring?" She grinned and offered.

He drooped visibly having thought he got the wrong lady, and what a pretty lady she was with her striking coloration. He brightened again when he realized that she just had a sense of humor. "Brat." He grinned. "You really had me there, I was about to go wallow in a corner thinking that my date had run before they even met me, but its nice to find someone with a sense of humor." "More daring? Might I recommend an orange juice? Most devilish of drinks."

She was happy to see that her companion also had a sense of humor. She threw him a wide grin before flagging down the server. ”I think we need something a little spicier. Maybe throw some rum in there.” She answered the water earthling. She ordered herself one and looked to Kylaelya with a raised eyebrow. ”Would you like the same thing?”
She didn’t want to assume that he wanted to be as adventurous as herself, but she was celebrating a day off with a new friend. If she wanted a drink who was going to stop her?Aukai Oceansoul 3/7 Let me know if you want to keep this going <3 I know it’s been a long time
