Acrucis blinked in obvious surprise, eyebrows raised high enough that they hid behind her bangs.

“Spar?” she asked, head tilting slightly to the side in mild confusion “I uh-” she stammered a bit unsure how to respond. “I’m probably the worst person to ask for that.” If the young woman thought that she was a liability then she probably found one of the top Senshi that was worse than her by a mile and a half, and that was being generous.

“Keiko… right? My name is Acrucis,” she placed a hand above her heart apologetically. “I’m a healer. I can’t even dust a youma on my own so you’re leagues ahead of me.” Not to mention that she spent several years focusing on her career instead of powering up otherwise she would have likely been Eternal by now. But that's beside the point.

“I was actually waiting for someone, they’re a Page but they might still be willing to spar with you.” She didn’t want to give their civilian life away and left out the part that they were a cop and had experience with hand-to-hand combat. That was information for Rainier to share.

Acrucis visibly hesitated, and worried her lower lip while looking at Keiko’s hand as if it was a third appendage.

Working out was nice in theory but wasn’t a luxury that was in her cards with work and going back to school to get her nurse practitioners certification. It was a long arduous task and honestly, she probably shouldn’t be powered up. Honestly, the only reason she was out here at all was that she was trying to find evidence that her friend, Sidouer, was still alive.

Last she saw, the Senshi of Static was being carried away by some corrupt; left there to wonder if she was dead or alive. All she knew was that Sidouer supported all the characteristics of a corrupt, down to the floor-length hair and mark upon her forehead, before she and the rest of the White Moon were whisked away to the Moon.. again.

There were worse ways to die, she supposed. Having a violent patient come in, someone under the influence and not themselves. There were times when even a taser didn’t even work on them; a terrifying sight, truly.

Still, Acrucis felt overly apprehensive about hitting someone she’d just met. Unfortunately, she had a suspicion that no matter how much she tried to back out or delay this until Rainier arrived Keiko wouldn’t let her go so easily.

“You will end up very disappointed,” she warned.

With a furrowed brow and deep frown, the Senshi of Prayer balled up a fist and took a weak swing with her right arm, and aimed at Keiko’s right open hand. Sad to say, all she had going for her was poor form and what strength being super gave her because other than that she was no better than a sneeze in the wind.

The bracelets on her arm jingled and Acrucis sighed. “See…”

Despite her perceived rank, Acrucis was acutely familiar with what other Senshi and knights could and couldn’t do. However, she was also aware that Keiko was only trying to help and didn’t have the heart to correct her and instead nodded her head. It was a kindness that the other Senshi was offering, a pep talk that was oddly needed, and Acrucis wasn’t of a mind to make her feel foolish for saying anything.

Still-

“I think I’ll pass on the puddle stomping. Growing up my cousins drank a lot of soda so I had a lot of practice crushing aluminum cans.” It was one of the ways they earned ‘fun money’ for getting treats at the grocery store or a small toy of sorts. “However, if you need help with your homeworld, I’d be happy to assist. I know it can be a big undertaking it can be on your own.”

Her own world had simply been too much of a task and without Phact, and now Sidouer, she found little to no reason to return and finish what was started. Perhaps someday she’d find a reason to go back but now was not that day.
