Love is in the air and it is exhausting. It seems everyone is so excited to meet someone new and see if they 'click'. To the point where this new trend has spread across Tendaji - Blind Dates.

The concept is pretty simple - you have a friend (or a matchmaker) set up a date with someone you've never met before. Some find this exhilarating - a chance to go beyond the same old and meet someone new. But others see this as unnecessary anxiety forced upon them by their friends or society's pressure.

Either way, you find yourself set up on a date not of your choosing, with a stranger who you've never met before. This could either be the person of your dreams...or a big mistake. Guess the only thing you can do is see where this date takes you.

For those who are already in a relationship, it's hard to host a 'blind date', but you can get close. It's time to surprise your significant other with a night date, just the two of you. No family, no children, just a chance to spend time with the one you love.

[ It's date night! This prompt should include a date with a stranger, either set up by your friends or by a matchmaker. If you're RPing your character with another, we ask that it be someone new (within reason to where your character is currently located). If you're RPing alone, create a new NPC and see where the night takes you.

Who knows, maybe this will be your character's future partner...or maybe an awkward enemy. What's the harm in the name of love?

For those who have characters already in a relationship, we're instead looking for a "Surprise Date" where one of the partners surprises the other with ad ate experience. ]

Luleta wasn't entirely certain how she felt about the whole idea behind blind dates. Was it truly wise to trust someone else to pick out a potential partner? Who knew better than she the intricacies of her own mind's desires? It seemed to be quite the responsibility to put into someone else's hands.

Still, she approached the designated meeting place with a flutter in her gut. Blind date or not.. it was her very first date. With her colorful ribbons intricately entwined through her braid, she looked around for anyone who might potentially be her date. That Vandrea stuck out a bit... "Excuse me. Are you.. looking for someone?"

The delighted squealing was enough to startle Luleta, and a grunt of surprise escaped her from the squeeze of the sudden hug. Despite her shock, she found herself laughing with amusement and was easily able to support the other's weight. "You got more details than I did," she observed, releasing the hug. "Your markings are very lovely, too." Now that she had confirmed this was her date.. "My name is Luleta. I hope I haven't kept you waiting for long."

Luleta smirked lightly. "An admirable trait." She thought she should have asked more questions. That would have made sense to do. Still, walking blind into a blind date had been thrilling, and the date herself was lovely. "Calixa. It's nice to meet you." She reached to take the offered hand and gave it a hearty shake whether or not that was Calixa's intention.

Now, what did one do on a date? "How long have you been on Yael? Is there anything you would like me to show you?" she asked, assuming the Vandrea was a newcomer.

The other's energy was practically blinding! It had been a while since she had seen such excitement. "Well, welcome to Yael," she offered warmly. Her brow rose at the offer for a second date, and she couldn't help laughing with delight. "I see nothing wrong with seeing the sights for a first date." Her smile turned with a playful tease, "though you may wish to wait for this date to finish before offering a second one, just in case." She was sure it would be enjoyable, but one never knew if Calixa would end up walking away unhappy...

"Well, I think our first stop should be the most important place on the whole island. Would you like to see Elzira?"

Calixa's excitement was infectious. Luleta gave a nod and turned to lead the way. "Absolutely. She is accepting hybrids from her blooms, so surely she will be happy to see a cousin. I'd like to know the differences between her and your goddess." She peeked over her shoulder again and gave her date a thumbs up motion. "Still, if anyone tries to disagree, I'm not afraid to remind them how it works around here now. A lot of the elders can still be.. kind of old fashioned."

Right, this was a date! She chuckled lightly and squeezed the hand that had taken her own. She wasn't used to such affection outside the family.. but it was nice. "A lot is an understatement," Luleta winced slightly, but continued smiling, "but it is getting better. They've come a long way since I was younger. Are they better over where you're from?"

What was it like to live where everyone was so easily accepted? "The whole world?" she asked with a laugh. "That's really cool." While the idea of traveling the world was rather glamorous, Luleta wasn't entirely sure it would be a good fit for her. Kahikina was far enough for her!

A light blush and bashful smile rose at how close Calixa was. Definitely a much friendlier stranger than she was used to. "Come on. Elzira's this way~"
