Date Night

Love is in the air and it is exhausting. It seems everyone is so excited to meet someone new and see if they 'click'. To the point where this new trend has spread across Tendaji - Blind Dates.
The concept is pretty simple - you have a friend (or a matchmaker) set up a date with someone you've never met before. Some find this exhilarating - a chance to go beyond the same old and meet someone new. But others see this as unnecessary anxiety forced upon them by their friends or society's pressure.
Either way, you find yourself set up on a date not of your choosing, with a stranger who you've never met before. This could either be the person of your dreams...or a big mistake. Guess the only thing you can do is see where this date takes you.

For those who are already in a relationship, it's hard to host a 'blind date', but you can get close. It's time to surprise your significant other with a night date, just the two of you. No family, no children, just a chance to spend time with the one you love.
[ It's date night! This prompt should include a date with a stranger, either set up by your friends or by a matchmaker. If you're RPing your character with another, we ask that it be someone new (within reason to where your character is currently located). If you're RPing alone, create a new NPC and see where the night takes you.
Who knows, maybe this will be your character's future partner...or maybe an awkward enemy. What's the harm in the name of love?
For those who have characters already in a relationship, we're instead looking for a "Surprise Date" where one of the partners surprises the other with ad ate experience. ]

Amoe lifted her hands to rest behind her head as she waited in the hot sun. She felt herself drying out and closed her eyes. She would have to take a break soon before she got a headache. She wasn't used to being so dry and sandy. Oba was still one of her least favorite places, but she was back again, this time because Varren needed to return. She had been traveling with him for months now and the two were basically inseparable.
But while he was taking care of business, she was here... waiting for her date. She grinned at the idea. She had signed up because 'hey why not' and now she was waiting for someone named Olokun. She was told it was a male, and was colored pretty close to the kahikinan. But knowing earthlings he would be short. She scanned the crowd, trying to find out who it was she was meeting up with.

Olokun rode on the back of a pale gray xaraan, darting along the path to reach his date on time. He had spent just a little too much time checking his teeth and making sure his clothes weren't wrinkled. He wanted to make a good impression for his very first date, even if it had been set up for him. He had paused on his way to pick a couple fresh flowers, too, as recommended by many of his friends. Once he reached the beach, they only had to walk a short way before finding the girl fitting the description he'd been given. He tied the xaraan in the shade of a tree, and approached with the flowers behind his back. "Hello.. I'm Olokun. Are you Amoe?"

Amoe turned around to face Olokun with surprise on her face. Well, he was blue, but he wasn't what she was expecting. He had burnt red hair and interesting eyes. She had only seen those eyes on the water earthlings when she first got to Tendaji, but they were never red. He was also much shorter than herself, but that was expected. She was used to being around Varren by now. "Hey, yeah! That's me." She answered him.
"It's nice to meet you." The offering sounded a little awkward, she still wasn't used to some of the pleasantries here, but she was getting there. Tendaji was a strange place.

As much as he tried to resist staring, Olokun couldn't help it. He had only ever seen kahikinans in passing. She had such an interesting shade of blue skin, and those patterns! "It's nice to meet you, too. You can call me OIy." He cleared his throat bashfully and then pulled the gold and blue flower bouquet from behind his back. Perhaps calling it a "bouquet" was a bit generous, but he had a good handful. "This is for you, if you'd like. Thanks for coming out."
