11 - 20: Lucky Lucky! You seem to have struck gold...or something similar. Use the second roll to calculate your results...and add +5 to the number.
11 - 15: Golden Treasure! Gold, and a good amount! It's not a bar or anything, but you could use it to make some jewelry.
Quynh was often willing to try anything that could gain her more shining treasure for her growing horde that she had tucked away in Jahaur. The prentice had several hiding spots set up throughout the areas her family usually visited, some on Yael and others in or near Chibale, and each one was carefully marked on a map that was tucked safely away in her belongings. While roaming Neued she had overheard some shifters talking about gathering treasures that were lost in the nearby river. Obviously she couldn't avoid the temptation and so after scooting a bit closer to the pair that were browsing a local stall, Quynh found herself picking up a tool and wandering towards the river.
"Now what?" The Aishan hybrid crouched down by the waters edge and reached out, her fingers trailing across the gleaming surface as she contemplated how one shifted water exactly. She had to tool so did she just stick the thing in and shake it around? Earthlings have some strange ways indeed. It wasn't as if she had anything better to do with her day though so why not fiddle around some and see if she could gather more gemstones or the like?
2 - 10: Something Shiny That looks promising... Use the second roll to calculate your results.
16 - 20: What Luck! Wow - this is a rare gemstone not seen around these parts. While not big, it's still something you could add to a necklace or ring.
Ika was on a forced day of relaxation when her mentor deemed it necessary for her overall health. She understood all too well the fire that burned in the hybrids blood and the need to push herself beyond the boundaries that kept her in check. That same understanding meant that her mentor also saw the need for rest, even if Ika didn't. It was aggravating, but now that she had a few days to herself Ika went out in search of something to do with that time.
Which is what led her to the river with a sifting pan in her hand. Ika had overheard that treasure lay at the bottom of the water and while it sounded dumb she couldn't say that she had anything better to do. So, why not try?
What she hadn't expected - though honestly, she should have - was seeing someone else there.
Taking a few steps downriver, Ika settled in, but kept an eye on the other sister. She was just odd enough to keep Ika's interest, but not so much that she would voluntarily strike up a conversation.

Quynh should have expected that someone else would arrive at the scene. She hadn't expected another Aishan hybrid, however, and that did catch her interest. Someone new? She hadn't seen her before but then again it had been a few years since her mothers had come back to this particular area of Jahaur. Quynh gave a slight shrug as the other girl didn't seem interested in coming her way and so she focused back on her task.
Excitement made her gasp as something shimmering showed up in the silt she collected from the river, but that excitement quickly died as she realized it was a small fish. A sigh left her lips as she tossed the wiggling creature back into the water. "Does this actually work?" She moaned as she rolled her shoulders back to ease the tension from sifting for so long. "Any luck with you?" Even if the other girl hadn't approached or said anything Quynh could see what was obviously in her hands. It seemed that trying to find treasure in the river was becoming quite a popular idea indeed and if the other hybrid had any hints or tips Quynh would gladly listen.

Ika settled by the water's edge and dipped her hands into the cool water. Even if it was springtime in the jungle the deeper she went the colder the water became which was enough to make Ika's perpetual scowl deepen. She should have been working up a nice, warm sweat with her blades and this was just -
Hearing the gasp, she turned to look at the younger girl. Even after she'd whipped her head around Ika's curls continued to bounce around her face. Seeing the fish, though, made her snort and give a smirk which was as close to a smile as she was going to give.
"Try smaller handfuls at a time and don't be afraid to dig deep. The water will move loose soil which might bury the treasure." Even as she talked Ika was following her own advice and sifting, bit by bit. After a bit she found something shiny and lifted her pan out of the water to inspect it.

Quynh pursed her lips at the advice but nodded. "Understood." She managed before wading in deeper, her skirts swaying as the water moved about her legs. The hybrid let out a frustrated sign as she tried to dig a bit deeper, the movement actually breaking up a lot more dirt than she had originally intended. Eventually something shiny caught her attention but it was another shell and she found herself glancing back over towards the older girl. She had found something and Quynh took a few steps closer to take a peek.
"A gemstone?" The question escaped from her lips, but Quynh did not back away. Instead she was genuinely curious to see what the other hybrid had discovered while sifting. Maybe she could try something here? Quynh dipped her tool into the water, nudging up more river silt as she tried once more to find treasure for herself.

The rock was barely bigger than Ika's thumb, but a bit of something shiny shone through amidst the muck. When she lowered it back into the water to clean it she found that some of the silt was stuck to it's side, but after a good, hearty scrubbing the gemstone's surface was clear.
A smaller gemstone of a golden - yellow hue that shifted the more she turned it. Unfortunately in the dim lighting of Jauhar's jungle floor it's true beauty couldn't be determined, but Ika had an idea of it. "Seems like it; don't think I've seen this one, though." When she turned to the other girl she wasn't pleased to see that not only had she gotten close, but she remained. "Have you found anything yet?"

Quynh was not even bothered by how close she had gotten to the other girl. If she didn't like it then surely she could leave or shove her away. "I haven't either. You might have found something really rare." She mused with a smile before glancing back at her sifter with a pout. Had she found anything yet? She wished!
"I haven't, but I don't want to take from your area." Quynh admitted as she took a step backwards. "I'll try over here again." The teen took a breath before walking back a few more feet and going back into the stream. This time though she felt like she had scooped up something heavier. "Oh?" Quynh's antenna flicked in excitement as she pulled the sifter up and started to shake off the dirt, a gleam of gold showing through.

Something rare, huh? Maybe that meant she could sell it for a hefty fee and buy something actually useful with it? As pretty as it was Ika didn't have much need for pretty things; they tended to just get in the way.
"I don't really care if you do or if you don't; I'm just out here to kill time." If she'd been actively hunting for funds then it might have been different, but Ika was happy enough with her find. The only reason she tried again after pocking her gemstone was out of sheer boredom, but when the other hybrid seemed to find something she sat back on her haunches, craning her neck to see.
"Looks like gold?"

"Oh good." Quynh grinned towards the other hybrid. "I really didn't feel like fighting over a spot today." She continued shaking off the dirt and sand so that the several lumps of gold could truly shine. It did look like actual gold! How lucky! Though she did like the idea of the gemstone more cause it was unique...an idea started to form in her mind as she glanced back towards the other girl.
"I'm Quynh and you are?" She finally offered as she brushed more dirt from the little gold pieces. "This looks like it could be used to buy a few things in the market without question. If I find more would you be interested in a swap?" If not she understood but gold meant nothing to Quynh when she wanted to stock up on unique things like gemstones whereas gold was nice and could buy a lot of things in the market, but that meant dealing with earthlings and others who often backed away from the Elarian hybrid.

"Ika." She answered while dipping her pan down once again. While she happened to turn up some nifty river rocks it seemed like Ika's luck was short lived. Maybe the stone had just been so small it rolled down stream from Qunyh's spot? There really was no way to tell.
"Your gold for my gem? Yeah, I'd say so long as you find a few more than that I wouldn't mind the trade." Of course she wouldn't charge a horrid fee for something she just happened to find, but Ika wanted to make it even. Gold may not have been as useful in Chibale as it was in Jauhar, but that didn't mean she could go without it. "Do you live in this area? I come by the river often and I haven't seen you yet."

"I'll make certain to find more." Promised Quynh with a brilliant smile as Ika agreed to her proposal. She was already sticking the sifter back into the water, digging for whatever gold she could find to help with the trade. She wasn't about to cheat someone, not when she had been helpful and willing to trade in the first place! Now if it was one of those arrogant....well choice words of pure sisters then perhaps Quynh would have been a bit more tricky with her offer, but not this time.
"My mothers prefer traveling so I'm fairly new." Replied Quynh with a small smile. "I was here a few years when I was a young child, but not long enough to make many friends." Not that her prickly attitude had helped, but she would prefer to keep that to herself. "I'm guessing you're a local then?"

Realizing that luck was truly no longer on her side, Ika decided to stand and stretch her legs. She sat her pan on the river's edge so that the hybrid could twist her back, eliciting a satisfying pop for her efforts. "I am. My mother's raised my twin brother and I in Jauhar. When I started my studies I came to Chibale, but we came enough growing up that I'm used to it. She'd taken her vows as a proper sister, 'forsaken' ideas of an earthling life and lived as one of the Alkidike. From time to time she visited with her family, but the more involved Ika became here the less she saw them.
It irritated her twin, but most things did these days.
"I have to ask, but are you one of the Elaria hybrids? I'd heard talk of them a few years back, though I never actually saw one." Her features were similar enough yet Ika didn't want to presume.

"So you chose Aisha then." Quynh replied without hesitation. It was fairly obvious the other girl was training, her strong body and Aishan dreads not escaping the teen's attention. It was a good choice, especially since Quynh respected the earthlings but felt like their studies could be a bit lacking in comparison with the true training of the Aishan warriors.
"I am." Quynh replied with a playful grin as she plucked a few more gold pieces from the water. "What do you think? Am I too strange or disgusting since I have Elarian blood?" It was mostly a tease, but also a way to check out the other girl's opinion. It would maybe be nice to make a friend with someone who seemed pretty understanding. She had accepted her trade request and hadn't shoved her away which was fairly promising for Quynh, especially when considering the pure Alkidikes she had dealt with when she was in the area as a youngling. They had quite a few spats over her different appearances before finally accepting her, even though Quynh's mothers had once again dragged her away to travel the world. The great hunt never truly ended with them after all.

"I did." She'd hoped that he might have done the same, but despite the fact her twin chose blades he'd gone another path. If they were any other family that might not have caused friction, but to be separated by Aisha meant things...could get tense.
"Depends on if you think I'm strange or disgusting for having earthling blood." In all honesty Ika didn't give a damn one way or the other so long as Qunyh didn't hold her back. If she did her part for the world then what did it matter what she looked like or where she came from? Criticizing others for stupid things only wasted time.
With the younger hybrid still working, Ika decided to find a nice rock to rest on. It might take her a little longer to dig up the necessary gold, but honestly, she didn't mind. She was learning that resting from time to time really wasn't that bad.

"Pfft." Quynh shook her head. "If anything I think you're very pretty and strong." She admitted with a smile. "Especially since you're willing to trade with me." It was a light tease but honestly she saw no reason to despise another based upon their appearance. Now their difference of values...that was something she was truly willing to fight over but she was happy Ika was following the Aishan path. How could she be hostile to another sister even if she had some earthling blood? If anything it was just another unique blend of traits like how her own Elarian and Alkidike blood made her stand out from the crowd.
Satisfied that she had dug up enough golden pieces, Quynh made her way out of the river and plopped on the rock next to Ika. "Here's the gold as promised." She stated as she placed the sifting tool with the pieces next to the other girl. Quynh was in no rush and so would enjoy sitting here for a moment longer, the warm sun feeling nice against her skin as the water slowly dried from her damp clothing.
