 Sonata DuskSonata, a young fox girl and Civilian, was on the run from a Kishin that was after her. She had a cloak over her ears and tail, as she was an illegal experiment that escaped from a witch. However, she was constantly on the run and was exhausted. She wasn't anymore than five years old at the moment. Suddenly, she found herself in an alleyway and was cut off. She hid underneath a dumpster in her fox form shaking violently as she hid, hoping the Kinshin wouldn't find her.

 Cody Carter The kishin was a monsterous figure, a human deformed by its eating of other souls. It had smelled a modifyed human, a human tainted by some sort of power, figuring that it would be a powerful boost when swallowed, the kishin looked around as it found the scent going into an alley. As it did however, the kishin was about to pick up the dumpster that the tiny fox had hidden under when a sharp whistle came from the alley way's entrance. Standing there was a guy, who simple stood by himself for a moment, "Arent you strange being that has brought darkness to our world?" He spoke, he sounded slightly regal in his tone but the kishin sensed him as a powerful soul as well, growling in an inhuman fashion as it rushed towards the more exposed human. Its deformed clawed hands rearing back as it went to go claw the human down. However Cody simple raised his arm quickly, a shield of glowing metal appeared almost from nothing from his arm, blocking the clawed swipe. Their was a different glow from his other hand as his partner turned into their weapon, where they had been standing to the side. His shield on his forearm disappeared as he swiped his own weapon up, slashing the kishin's chest. He smirked some, "Keeping your blade sharpened, nice work partner." He complicated to his weapon.

Ann Marie and Rose Mary Blight
 The Kishin they were hunting was after a human that had been experimented on by a witch, according to Mistress Death in their meeting. Supposedly, the victim looks like a fox complete with a tail and set of ears, but why would a witch want to make such a creature? Rose Mary assumed they'd find out once they rescue the fox from the Kishin. Coming to the end of an alley, their meister, Cody, stared down the monstrosity and whistled to distract it before it could find their fox friend. His noble comment sent the Kishin into a rage as its claws came down on the metal shield that formed above him. This weapon was Ann Marie Blight, a blonde girl with a flawless complexion, a slander frame, and a kind, valiant heart to match. The shield was round and almost looked like a mirror considering their wasn't a single scratch from the Kishin's claws. Ann Marie appeared out from the center of the weapon, she was naked but only the tops of her shoulders, neck, and face were present in her image. Ann Marie smirked as if claws scrapped against her (She couldn't feel a think in weapon form) as she replied, "You don't scare me. Your turn, Sister Dear!" She called out lovely since she was obsessed with her younger sister Rose Mary.
Rose Mary rolled her eyes since her sister's affection was overwhelming at times, but she did mean well and always had everyone's best interest at heart. Rose Mary nodded to her sister and her partner as she transformed into a shining blade as she sister detransformed and jumped out of the way to make room for the duo. Rose Mary sliced through the Kishin's chest like butter, feeling the warm blood soak the tip. Rose Mary's image could be seen in the blade's reflection and she was opposite from her sister. She had messy black hair, grey eyes (she was completely blind), and a short, slouching frame. She didn't take much investment in her appearance since she couldn't see how other people judged her. Nor did she need to look prefect in order to fight a enemy. Since she was blind, her hearing had increased and as she nodded from her meister's compliment she could hear the Kishin getting revved up for another assault. "Side step right and swing down to finish this creature." She advised in a monotone voice. From the back of Cody, Ann Marie praised her sister's ingenuity seeing the Kishin throwing all its weight into an attack at Cody. If he heeds Rose Mary's words, once he side steps the Kishin will lose balance long enough for Cody to decapitate the monster and save the girl! "Go Cody! Go Rose Mary! Go team, go!" Ann Marie cheered obnoxiously jumping up and down.

Cody Carter Cody smirked at how the Kishin was no match for Ann Marie's shield, he was always concerned that she would be saddened if she ever had a scratch on her flawless finish of metal but her strength left her nearly impervious to damage with how her willpower held its strength. As the attack was blocked, Ann Marie moved out of the way after jumling off his arm and turning human again as he reached over in a swift motion, grabbing Rose Mary's hand as she transformed into the sword. Listening to Rose Mary's instructions, he followed them and jumped out of the way, the Kishin's clawed attack missed and hit the ground, but as said, he brought the blade down, beheading the creature and watched as its head was removed from its body. Its corpse turned to ribbons before compressing into a kishin egg, which holding the blade towards it, he looked yo Ann Marie, "Since you got the last one, its only fair to let Rose Mary devour this one." He said as he had the challenge to not just get 1 death weapon to 99 kishin souls, but he had to get 2 of them, which meant 198 kishin eggs total, plus 2 witches, which one was a chore already. He had gotten plenty of kishin slain already, but he had much work ahead of them. Once the Kishin egg was dealt with, "According to intel, the being we seek should be in this alley. If you are of witch origin and seek asylum, please come out. We arent here to harm you, we are here to seek answers." He said softly but in a stern voice to project it into the alleyway.

Sonata Dusk
Sonata's eyes started to glow as she peeked out from underneath the dumpster, unsure if she could trust these people. However, she saw how easily they had slain that Kenshin and thought about it for a second. She poked her head out in her fox form, shook her fur, and went up to Cody, and sat at his feet. She wasn't sure if she could trust them with her other form yet, so she stayed in her fox form and would until she was certain she could indeed trust them. She was a strange looking fox, color wise. Her fur was black with red mixed in it, and red spots on her feet and on her head.
As she sits in front of Cody, Sonata looks up at him, Ann Marie and Rose Mary with a tilted head. She didn't say anything, but she hoped that these people were as nice as they seemed to be. However, she hoped that they were not working for Medusa, the witch who created her.

Ann Marie and Rose Mary Blight
The Kishin was slain and the familiar sight of black ribbons dancing around and compressing into a kishin egg came into view. Cody thought it was only fair that Rose Mary devour this egg this Ann Marie got one last battle. Ann Marie agreed happily, "Of course! I'd never deprive my darling sister of nutrients!" Rose Mary shook her head in the blade's reflection and replied somberly, "I'm fine, stop dotting over me." Ann Marie huffed defensively as she crossed her arms and turned away. "I'll never stop! My love is boundless!" Rose Mary sighed, "Believe me, I know that all to well." She materialized her arm from the blade and pulled the egg inside absorbing privately. Although she was blind, the egg was easy to detect since it gravitated towards the weapon that had slain it. She remained in sword form in case the girl they were looking for attacks. Ann Marie stopped sulking for a bit and stood close to Cody as he called out into the alley Ann Marie could see glowing eyes from under the dumpster and what emerged was not a girl as they were told but a fox. In their briefing they were told that a witch experimented on a girl altering her form, but they didn't expect the girl to be an animal. Her fur was black and she had red markings as she scuttled over to them and sat Cody's feet. The fox may be wary of the group, but she obviously interacted with them quickly.
Ann Marie had a weakness for "cute things" and immediately wanted to pick up the creature. "Adorable!" Ann Marie's instincts for cuddling kicked in and Rose Mary had to be the voice of reason to snap her out of it. She heard her sister's weight shift as she got ready to bend down and hug the fox. "No, leave her be. She may seem innocent, but we don't know what she is capable of." Ann Marie scoffed, "She's so small, like she could hurt a fly." Ann Marie got ready to bend down again only for Rose Mary to raise her voice slightly. "I'll chop off your arm if you don't back up." Ann Marie's gawked at her sister, "You're a brute!" Rose Mary retorted, "Proud of it." She grumbled before addressing Cody. "We should take her to Mistress Death. Questioning her out here in the open isn't safe." They were strong, but not nearly to the compacity of taking down a witch if one were to appear. (So, I know we didn't really discuss this, but I think a new witch should have made Sonata. Having Medusa make her wouldn't make any sense. I know we didn't discuss a timeline, but this should be after the original series, with fresh characters. Any characters that do make an appearance should be older or dead and mentioned in memory. That way we're not stumbling around with the same plotlines or anything.)

Cody Carter Cody looked at the fox creature that crawled out from under the dunpster and cautiously approached them. He looked at the little fox as it sat at his feet but as he could hear the two, he would turn and informed Rose Mary to change back to her human form. When she would reluctantly agree after lightly bickering with her sister, he would gently hold her behind him so she could shift onto her feet but once his hands were free, he gently reached down and picked up the little fox, "Shes not dangerous, her soul wavelength shows fear, shes scared and as much as I know that you love cute animals Ann Marie, ill hold her til we get to Death City." He informed as he reassured them she didnt look dangerous. Cody had what his family call Soul/Aura Armor, the ability to channel their soul wavelength into physical armor around their body. Extra defense if they are without a weapon or risk taking a hit to open up a moment to strike. This Soul Armor comes from years of training one's soul wavelength and thus allows him to see other's souls if he focuses on them. He can technically adjust his soul wavelength to better match his teammates, allowing for better connection, though his personality is the one thing thats stubbornly solid. He was a kind and caring person but duty was just that, and right now, they had information that a human was rumored to be experimented on and this creature had stepped out when addressed, "Before we head out, little fox, im not sure if you can speak, can you at least nod and let me know that you are the one we are making sure to rescue from the witch." He asked knowing the rumors of a witch that follows a path of other witches who defy nature rather then using it for their benefit. (I figured this was an AU where its even Lady Death, wasnt it Lord Death in the show?)

Sonata Dusk
Sonata hears Cody and does something better. She turned into the little girl they'd been searching for. "Sorry Sonata didn't show her true self before. Sonata had to be sure Sonata could trust you first." Sonata says meekly with her ears going against her head. Sonata knew that the witch who created her was after her, and was most likely behind that attack with the Kinshin.
Sonata started to calm down as Cody held her, sensing that he wouldn't hurt her. Though she wasn't sure about Rose Mary at the moment. She kept her ears against her head, sensing a little tension from Rose Mary. Sonata knew that she was different, but she really meant no harm to anyone. She clung to Cody as he held onto her, not liking being out in the open. "Can we go see Lady Death now please?" The small fox girl pleaded as she buried her face a little. ((O.O.C: I was gonna ask about that. I just put Medusa for the time being and wa gonna change it if we decided on a new witch with a new name, keep Medusa or what. I just wasn't sure. What should we call her then? I was thinking Sombra or something along the lines of the darkness. It doesn't matter to me what we call her. I'm just offering a name suggestion.))

Ann Marie and Rose Mary Blight
Cody convinced Rose Mary to changed back into her human form while he held the fox. Of course, he'd believe the fox's soul wavelength over the advice of her weapon. He was a meister and unlike her, he could since and see others soul wavelengths. Rose Mary was still on edge and hastily commented, "It could be a ploy to lure any witches out." She grumbled as Ann Marie interrupted with her incessive whining. "But, but! You know how much I love cute animals! Pleasssseeee!" Rose Mary covered her ears cursing under her breath. Out of all of them, Cody was the most capable of protecting them especially with his Soul/Aura Armor. In times of crisis, his soul wavelength converted into armor to shield him when the sisters were out of commission. Rose Mary has only felt him use it once and imaged what it looked like according to her sister's commentary. Before they left for Death City, Cody decided to address the little fox directly to see if it was able to speak. They needed confirm that this fox was the experimented human or just a random stray animal that had cozied up to them.
Suddenly, the fox shapeshifted into a little girl calling herself Sonata and apologizing for being cautious. Rose Mary grimaced at the young child and her sister as she began to squawk obsessively. "Oh my gosh! You're so cute! Can we keep her Cody! Let me hold her!" Ann Marie smiled at the child and introduced herself happily, "I'm Ann Marie! The one holding you is Cody. And that's grumpy one there is my sister, Rose Mary." Rose Mary retorted angerly. "What is the matter with you? Giving out our identities so casually. You two are to trusting. Just because she's a child...more like a liability." Rose Mary started walking away not wanting her hear anymore. She unfolded her cane which was black and white with a reaper skull at the top; tapping it back and forth to make sure she didn't run into any walls. Ann Marie frowned at Cody and the child before gesturing they should follow. She whispered discretely to the girl, "Don't worry about her. She'll warm up to you...eventually." Ann Marie knew her sister had a hard time with trust and hoped the child was old enough to understand. (This rp is kind of like an AU in a way. As for the witch, I have an idea that she is fox oriented. Having kitsune powers and such. I thought of the name Kite. Sombra sounds cool too. )

Cody Carter Cody gasped a bit as the little fox changed into a little girl, but making sure not to drop her, he held her softly as he felt her hug his neck to hold onto him. He was able to find a way to hold her comfortably for them both as he felt her bury her face into his shoulder some, she looked young, it bothered him only because he could see her fox ears and tail. It wasnt them that bothered him, but the fact she was experimented on, that she probably felt pain or was taken from her parents. Either way, he would protect her as he walked with his partners, "As my partners have said, My name is Cody and please know that I wont let anything harm you Sonata." He said walking behind the two. He looked at the two, "Ann, you should calm down a little, Sonata here is very cute but shes also a victim whose just run away. Lets get her someplace safe first and then you can be excited about meeting her fully. I would wager that she is tired and scared, judging by how she is leaning against me. And Rose, we are taking her to a hive of meisters and weapons. If this was some kind of trap being placed, it makes no sense that we are taking Sonata to Lady Death herself. If this was some sort of trap, we would be going away from Death city." He informed, he was a bit of a buffer of his two partner's personalities. One extrememly positive, one very negative, but luckily his more neutral and well stubborn personality helps pull them back from their extreme natures and personalities. Where other meisters found it hard to get use to their range, he seemed to flourish from it.

Sonata Dusk
Sonata was indeed scared. She'd never been outside of Kite's laboratory before now. Before she managed to get away, Kite kept her in a locked room. Sonata managed to get the key off of Kite but was sure that Kite was well aware of the girl missing by now and Sonata was sure that Kite wasn't very happy about the girl's running away.
As they made their way back to the DWMA (Death Weapon Meister Academy), Sonata stayed close to Cody. She eventually walked next to him, holding his hand with her ears against her head as she looked around at everything fearfully. Though she was mentally and physically exhausted, she wasn't about to sleep just yet. She started to shake a little as they reached the doors of the academy and everyone started to look at her but she followed Cody, Ann Marie and Rose Mary to Lady Death's death room, hoping that Lady Death would be able to help her. ((O.O.C.- I like the name Kite better. Also I love the idea of her being fox oriented. It would make the story more interesting too.))

Ann Marie and Rose Mary Blight
From behind, Cody and Ann Marie were trying to confront the fox girl as much as possible, but Rose Mary remained indifferent. He assured Ann Marie that she'd be able to gush over the child properly once they were in the presence of Lady Death. Ann Marie jumped up and down excitedly while Cody consulted her sister on the matter. However, knowing Rose Mary, she won't budge on her beliefs and will fight them all the way to Death City. Rose Mary replied exasperated by this point, "We could be going to the most fortified place in the world and that probably won't be enough to stop a witch. They're unpredictable and if you underestimate them we'll never become Death Scythes." In a way, Rose Mary was right since there had been stories of signal witches toppling organizations like theirs. Ann Marie admired Cody for having the strength to keep them both in line because she believed no other meister could handle them.
Eventually they made it to the academy, and as usual, students and staff alike crowded around to see any new spectacle. Rose Mary could hear the gasps and unpleasant commentary from the sectors around them. Ann Marie moved closer to Sonata and Cody trying her best to shield the child as she walked next to Cody. After passing the crowd, they went straight to Lady Death's chambers. A bit similar to the Reaper's before her, instead of guillotine gates to walk through, it was dead trees. The bare branches wove together above to make a tunnel all the way up to her platform. The skies around them was a dark, starry night scenery. The only thing that stayed the same were the crosses with extremely deadly Kishin souls buried under them. Her mirror to the outside world was a medium size oval mirror. The platform in the room was furnished like a gothic Victorian lounge, and it never failed to find her on the plush violet couch. She wore a cocktail dress, along with black silk gloves and white high heels. Her long pitch black hair cascaded down her curved backside ending in white tips. Her face was covered by a Venetian skull mask, expect one exposed eye that was neon yellow. She stood confidently when her students approached, her yellow eye immediately glanced at Sonata. "I see your efforts were fruitful. To know a witch is experimenting on children is blasphemous to say the least. At least this one made it here to us. Tell me Little One, do you remember much from your time as the witch's captive? Any bit of information, no matter how small, is useful to us." Leave it to Lady Death to get to the point quickly. (Okay, I'll play her in a while then.)

Cody Carter He looked towards Rose Mary as she spoke about why she felt her way but he shook his head, "Normally I would agree but youre missing the point, this is the victim of the witch, not the witch herself and even then, I see her soul, shes human." He reassured as he walked with the two and was glad that Ann Marie helped shield the little girl from the crowd of students who were curious of the witch's victim. It wasnt a surprise everyone was so curious, they heard a sudden appearance of a kishin chasing a young girl, so they sent Cody and his weapons in because he was available to go but also the most qualified. He was always fascinated by Lady Death's chamber, not only because it was like a different universe, a pocket dimension from the real world but also because of how it was themed of a grave yard. He even noticed the fog that hovered over the hills of graves as they walked in. Being a guy, Lady Death was almost as attractive as she was deadly looking, and like others, he never risked giving her a wolf whistle as it seemed inappropriate. He was trained to be respectful to all those above him, and one didnt get higher then Lady Death. As she spoke directly to the child, he knelled by her, "Its going to be okay Sonata, Lady Death wants to help you." He reassured figuring the little girl could be scared of Lady Death's appearance, her eye alone could put fear in the bravest men. He stared by Sonata's side as she would approach to help give her comfort.

Sonata Dusk
Sonata had always been able to create illusions. For as long as she could remember, she could project her memories at will using some of her soul wavelength. It did tire her out some but she figured it was better than explaining it. "Sonata can show you...." She says nervously before she concentrates and soon enough the room was completely different. It was Kite's laboratory. Kite entered the room, touching a tube with Sonata inside as a younger child. She was asleep inside of the tube, wearing a sort of hospital gown that covered her body with an oxygen supply mask on her face and different wires connected to her little body. That was her first memory with Kite.
The next one painful, horrible screams could be heard, before the room changed again to Sonata being experimented on from her perspective. She got too scared to go on though as she started shaking and getting a look of pure terror on her face and the illusion disappeared completely before Sonata had tears in her eyes hoping she'd never have to do that again. She wiped her tears away, with her fox ears against her head. "Sorry....Sonata can't......" She says as she wipes her tears away trying not to cry. ((O.O.C.- ))

Ann Marie and Rose Mary Blight
With Cody's reassurance, Sonata found the courage to show Lady Death her experiences. Lady Death stood strong as she watched the projection of memories from Sonata's perspective. Rose Mary could view the wavelength of memories so she listened closely for any distinct noises in order to connect the dots about the fox. Ann Marie watched astonishingly, considering Sonata could conjure such a vivid wavelength. The first memory was of a laboratory, as a woman (the witch) sauntered up to a large tube housing Sonata. The witch had supernatural red eyes, long black hair, and black ears as well as several black tails. Her sharp nails scrapped along the glass causing Rose Mary to stiffen. Inside the tube, a lifeless Sonata floated in some kind of watery substance. She had a breathing tube and wires hooked onto her body for life support. It was clear that Sonata was created to be a test subject, and highly unlikely to have been kidnapped; but that was debatable at best. The image flicked and changed to Sonata strapped down at the witch stood over her menacingly. Sonata's agonizing screams were torture and make the sister's feel on edge. Ann Marie couldn't help but cry along with the child and hug Cody for confront.
Unlike Rose Mary, Ann Marie had a weak constitution for these things and hated seeing, much less hearing, anyone in pain. Rose Mary felt guilty for how she had treated Sonata earlier, but kept quiet because she wasn't good at showing sentiment. Lady Death remained undeterred even though the screams made her want reaper chop the witch's head off. As Sonata apologized for canceling the memory, Lady Death bent down and picked the child up. She nurtured the child as if she were her own mother rocking her back and forth and patting her on the back gently. "It was enough. Rest now, we have the information we need. You are safe here at the academy." Lady Death eyed her students and commented, "Your mission is complete. For now, Sonata will be left with me until we figure out where to place her. She is to young to attend the academy, but she made reside here for the time being." Lady Death's word was law, but Ann Marie and Cody were probably going to object since they seemed so attached to Sonata already. Rose Mary wasn't opposed to the girl staying with them, but she definitely wasn't the sensitive, motherly type. (Sorry, I apologize for being slow. I'm in the process of moving at the moment.)
