It was time for another trip to her homeworld, and Keiko was more excited than she had any right to be. She hoped that there would be some new creature up there, some new little cutie pie that she could love and be excited for, and she hoped that she would be able to do enough to truly fix up her shelter, not just have it be somewhat acceptable as it was now. But, still. Somewhat acceptable was so much better than it had been before.
She had a door with her this time, and it was so very awkward trying to carry it. It wasn’t that it was heavy, just…awkward. Too long and hard to get a grip on, causing her to have to take several breaks on her way to the park, putting the dark, wooden thing down to catch her breath.
It was on one of these breaks that she felt the other senshi, a bright aura that made her smile and made her head shoot up and look around for the source.
Perhaps she could persuade whoever it was to come up to Keiko with her and continue with the repairs! Free labor was always the best kind, after all, and while she liked being alone on her homeworld…it was so nice to be able to show off.
Finally, when the senshi came into view, Keiko waved. “Hi! Oh!” Wow, she…looked different than other senshi that Keiko had met…but then again…she couldn’t judge. Encke glowed, and so did Ida so…what did it matter that this one was blue?
“I’m Sailor Keiko! It’s nice to meet you!”

This was someone else new and unfamiliar, and Dagon blinked at her, briefly, trying to place her in her memories, but--nothing. There were so many Senshi in the universe, and nothing reminded her of that more strongly than the fact that there were so many she just couldn't place when she ran into them.
She had thought she was well-traveled, but there were infinite places she had never been.
"Hello," she said, and she took a few steps closer, frowning at the door that the other Senshi had at her side. "What...is that?" It wasn't that she was unfamiliar with the concept of a door, it just seemed odd to have one when one was powered up.
"Ah--my manners. It's a pleasure to meet you, Sailor Keiko. I am Sailor Dagon." She gave her a little almost-bow of greeting.

Keiko grinned and then blinked, looking down at the door and then looked at Dagon once more, concern filling her eyes. “...It’s…uh. A door. Do you…not know what a door is?” Maybe there was more to her being blue than just…the blue. That was interesting.
“Um, it’s to keep a dwelling closed. I’m working on repairing my homeworld, and still trying to get my base of operations somewhere that isn’t completely exposed to the elements before I venture further, and right now I just have a tarp covering the entrance, so I figured a door would be a lot more secure and keep the wind out a lot better…my world is super cold so…”
She shrugged and then smiled again, holding her hand out. “Want to come with me and help? It’s always easier and I can get more done if I have help. I need to wrangle my friend Encke with me again, he’s fantastic. When he was up here last, he got so many of the little cracks filled, it made a world of difference. Also I’m hoping to find something new up there? There were spiders and some ladybugs the last time I was there so…I’m hoping that maybe there will be more life! Who knows!”
Making a face, Keiko tried to shut her mouth, and simply grinned at Dagon sheepishly. “...I get excited and talk too much, I’m sorry.”

Well. She supposed she had asked, and getting an explanation was all she could have expected. Dagon's smile turned a bit wry, and she moved over, bending down to examine the door.
"I do know what a door is," she said, dryly. "My planet was isolationist and a bit ridiculous, but we did manage those." She straightened, still clearly amused. It was obvious that Keiko had quite a lot of excitement for her world--that was good. To see so many Senshi who still loved their planets, even though they were not born there...
It heartened her, for the future.
"Oh!" She perked up, at the mention of Encke. "Encke and Viatrix have been invaluable in helping me understand and get settled on your planet--I have been living with them, in fact. A friend of Encke's, then, is certainly an ally of mine, and I would be glad to help you."
Not that she wouldn't have been otherwise, but....well. Connections, and so on.

Keiko’s eyes lit up. “You know Encke! And you know what a door is! That’s fantastic! I’m so happy for both of these things!” She laughed brightly and took hold of Dagon’s hand, lacing fingers with her just for some added stability and then wrangled her phone into her hand. “I warn you, it’s cold up here! So just be warned!”
She pressed the home button and the next moment they were there. And it was cold. The snow was falling down in large, wet clumps rather than flakes, and there was the hint of a wind about to pick up. “Ah…looks like it might end up with another blizzard. When I was here with Encke and Via there was a bad one, and we were stuck inside, but…s**t, if that’s the case we need to get the door on!”
Tugging Dagon towards the temple, and the room she had been fixing up, she tugged back the tarp and ushered the other senshi inside.
Carefully, she set the door against the tarp and began attaching the hinges she had put up the last time she was here. “So…can I ask you a…personal question…? Um…”
She didn’t look at the other senshi, but worked on hammering in the piece of metal that held the hinge. “...Why are you blue?”

Dagon would have argued that she was used to cold--her planet, foggy as it was, wasn't exactly tropical-warm--but oh. The place Keiko brought her to was not at all what she was prepared for. She let Keiko tug her along to shelter, heart pounding as they ducked in.
"That is....very cold," she said, in a vast understatement. "I am glad you've been developing this place, but here--let me help you." Two sets of hands would be better than one, for maneuvering the new door into place.
The question made her pause, and then she laughed softly.
"I am blue," she said, "because I am not human. I arrived here from my world about a month ago." She tugged her hair back, to reveal her finned ears, and then wiggled her fingers to show off the webbing. "My people are--were--amphibious."

Keiko blinked and smiled at the help, but then looked at the webbed fingers and the finned ears and let out a soft, excited squeal. “Oh my god! That’s so cool!”
When the door was secure, Keiko opened it, pleased that she had gotten the hinges right so that it opened outward rather than inwards…though she wondered if it was as good of an idea as she thought, but as she was thinking about it, something came at her face and she yelped, jumping backwards and nearly trampling Dagon.
But when she saw that it was something alive. Something new, she gasped and excitedly tapped the other senshi on the shoulder. “I am going to scream more about your world and you more, but look! Look! It’s…it’s…a something!”
It was a moth, with a large, fluffy mass of..fluff around its neck, and feelers that were easily as long as its body. “Oh…it’s lovely!!”

It was always fascinating, how humans reacted to her. Most seemed delighted. Some were disgusted, but they were usually on the other side. And they....well, they should be disgusted. They should fear her.
Her allies, on the other hand? It felt good to be welcomed by them with open arms.
But Keiko had a distraction for both of them, and she moved closer, and cooed softly.
"Oh," she said. Every bit of life on every world was a reminder that perhaps one day, hers might grow again. "How wonderful! Is that new, then?"

Keiko nodded. “Yeah! I…new!” She swallowed the sudden lump in her throat and just looked happier than she could even find words for. “Well! Now that the door works…let me take you on a tour, Dagon! And if you’d like, I would love to hear all about your world! And I would very much love to visit sometime, if you’d want to show me around, I can help put up new doors!”
She was beaming, almost glowing with happiness…but not quite glowbugging yet.
But. Something told her that she was getting closer to figuring that mystery out too!
