He hadn't been one of the recruits for long, and as such, the Negaverse was making sure he knew what he was doing. Tonight was training with another officer. Luckily he was off this week, taking a week to himself for 'winter break' or something like that. While, as a younger man, Gilmore had gotten into plenty of fights (part of the problem of being a passionate person), he knew next to nothing about how to use his squeaky hammer of all things. Titanowodginite also hadn't quite figured out how much stronger he was like this, either. This alter self was so different. He heard of people in strange uniforms running around, knew some of them were dangerous and some of them weren't. Most of Destiny City knew about them too. Being one was different. He stood in the middle of this field, still in Destiny City, but out of the way enough he could spare without problems. At least that's what the message had said. So now he was waiting on someone else. Who'd been chosen for him? Gloved hands brushed nonexistent dirt off of a deep green jacket as the ties and tails of his jacket slowly flapped in the wind. It wasn't particularly strong, but enough he could hear his clothing. Could he focus on this 'energy signature' if he closed his eyes?

Mier was as excited as he was honored. He lived for meeting new members agency, like a one man welcoming committee. Especially when it felt like a chance to make new friends; to have one more line of connection running between himself and Raks ever growing team. A little web to network and weave tightly into a whole tapestry of doings. He preened about it. What kind of an impression he’d make, how he’d go about doing it? He decided to arrive to the assigned meeting space as himself. Like a *surprise*. Human, simply dressed in clothing warm enough to keep off the brisk cold without being over-bundled; bright and obvious colors. On his lips, his cheeks, his nails which he’d just gotten done. There was something about having them a specific shade of pink with holographic glitter that just thrilled him to the core. A lovely new pair of earrings, courtesy of his General. He took the mans lesson to heart. Kept his wearable inventory in him most of the time - no matter which guise he wore. He loved the way they hung - thought of fun new ways to use them with this one - Titiano - or maybe just wodginite?. The name he’d been given ran on, a multisyllabic thing. He preferred nicknames over titles when he could get away with it. When Racks correctness didn’t linger like a teachers ruler by degrees. Together they’d come up with something. He wasn’t sure how much good he’d be for training. Only that if nothing else? He had experienced a few fundamental things: team based tactics, getting his a** handed in by Ice Senshi, and fighting ********, honest to gods, *aliens*. Maybe that was enough - he could lay out all the ‘dont’s’ ever so smoothly. That was what Mier was thinking, as he waded into knee high tall grass, drug his gloves fingers over straggly dead strands of gold, where they weren’t smothered by cold entirely though the open field. Spied a figure not far off — towering thing in greens and blacks. *Handsome*. “Are you looking for someone, sir?” he hoped he hadn’t startled him much; looking all the world like some lost, forlorn kid. Interested and innocent all bundled into one. If his smile gave the illusion of that away — *well* -- he couldn’t help that he wanted to have some fun.

Brown eyes narrowed as he heard a voice, but hadn't felt a signature. Owlishly, he turned his head to the voice and then nearly did a double-take. Mier? What was he doing out here? He should be home by this time. Or maybe work? He had to stifle a curse as he ran a hand through the ponytail of dreads that lay on his neck. "I am, but you're not him," Titan replied simply, the frown on his lips noticeable. "Do you need help getting home? It's rather late for someone your age, isn't it?" He couldn't give away who he was, or the connection between them. That went against the very first rule of something like this, didn't it? Of course Titan was letting his eyes rove over the boy's clothing and make-up. Everything on him, under different circumstances, would have been appreciated differently. Now he was just wondering how much trouble the boy was trying to get up to tonight. "Good kids run on home when the streetlights come on, you know."

“That’s a shame — I think I’d like to be him. Whoever your waiting for.” A soft frown that pursed his lips, how that became a rolling little shrug. He radiated disappointment for being told to go - even as he closed the got closer in. Enough to see, had to crane his neck up, up, into the heavens; for how tall Titian was. Amazing. “You’re very right though,” As right as he was kind, there was something about that Mier appreciated, even as he closed the gap and put himself right in Titian’s space. Close enough to better admire — to reach out and nearly touch — a golden-brass button, the bloodred sash. “and maybe if I were either of those things? I’d be worried about the time —“ and Mier danced away a step, two, and pulled on power like taking a deep breath before a high dive. “I am not though. What I am, to you? Is Lieutenant Diasporite - Dia for short. You’re on Raks team - and so there’ll be no secrets between us…well, maybe a few? But our civilian lives - our identities - certainly don’t need to be one of them. You never know when someone could need help getting home, right, Titan?” All the flourish that lingered, as he tucked his hands behind his back and circled Titan. Watched him with narrow admiring eyes. “First rule - your enemies, your allies, they can take many forms. Senshi, agents, youma, or otherwise. That includes outright, honest to goodness *aliens*. We’re going to work on recognizing those things — and I? Am going to help you with your quota.” He imagined that even if they stripped Titan down and poured him into civilian clothes — ******** — he’d still be a sight to see. Far to obvious to be scalping energy alone, maybe in mass crowds, at parties? But since he had to touch to get anything worthwhile from anyone — yes, Dia would make sure he had some help.

Being under all this attention made the giant man stand up a bit straighter. As the civilian kept getting closer to him, Titan put his hands at his sides and balled them into fists. Mier got so close to him, almost close enough to touch. All he wanted to do was grab those hips and haul him up and in for a kiss. Wipe that self-assured look right off his face. That would show him, wouldn't it? Who would get the last laugh then? Suddenly, Mier was gone with a blinding light, and standing before him was Diasporite. Dia, as introduced himself. All he could do was blink again. With his hands on his hips, just blinking, staring at this little wisp of a man who was there, acting cocky and sure of himself. Those gloved hands moved again, to his face, rubbing it warily already. The last time he'd seen Mier this confident was when he had fooled everyone at the club right before his birthday. Cocky, eager, wanting to play something bigger than he was. "Well, Mier-- I mean Diasporite," Titan began, a laugh escaping. "You can call me Titan, since I know Titanowodginite is a mouthful." He listened about the enemies and allies and he brought a hand to his lips and tilted his head. "Aliens? Well, shouldn't be surprised..." There were talking cats for crying out loud. Why not throw on literal aliens. Made the party more fun, didn't it? Would Dia figure out who he was? Titan wasn't just going to come right out and say it. But he did step closer and reach out slowly, wanting to put a hand on the other's face, thumb at his cheek with a gloved thumb.

"It's Dia - not M---" and all the cocksure bravado layered on top of a '********' grin. His preening for being in his element and having a one up, for once? A small stepping stool of power to give himself a bit of height to stand on? It fell like steel dominos in a stack. Dia paled, swallowed - heard the rest of the words tumble from Titan's warm mouth -- thought of that *laugh*. "I'm sorry - just - once again - who are you?" the tone skittered on being defensive, but mostly? Fell in the dead center of 'surprise'. "Not your -- this -- who are you really?!" neatly clipped little growl, a kittens demands, a hackle raised as he turned on glinting golden heels in the dirt and sized Titanowodginite up -- and up --- and ******** him but this man was tall beyond reason and measure. He couldn't complain for looks, but he could complain for not knowing who he was speaking to. "Did - did our General tell you my information before hand?" Not that Mier would've minded, Rak was intelligent, always. Could've done as he'd pleased, but he would've liked to have known, ah, no - he wanted to introduce himself. Have a grand good time with it, and now? He felt very much like he was on the backfoot. Staring up a giant with new questions he hadn't thought to ask firsthand.

"Oh kitten," Titan purred a little, shaking his head. He supposed the magic surrounding him really was strong. How did he look to others, he wondered? Titan's expression was fond, a little amused. "How many seven-foot men do you really know? It's me, Gil!" He hated seeing the other deflated, but this was just too amusing! He showed up as Mier. Was he not supposed to say something about it? At least no one was around. As if to prove a point with his name, he did a stupid little pose. One hand on his hip, hip cocked to the side, his squeaky hammer over his shoulder, his head was thrown back. Confident and cocky. He dropped it just as quickly, looking a little nervous. "I didn't mean to spoil your surprise, but it was ...I mean! I never would have thought this was the job you were talking about."

*Kitten* — ooh, oh ********. Dia swallowed, felt the rumble of those words in his soul, and that *smile* - Gils knowing smirk that sent his heart scattering like shot-put; a rabbit on speed. How many *men* - seven foot or otherwise - Mier didn’t know *any others at all*. The blush that scoured his cheeks burned a brighter pink than his eyes, than the ends of his braid. The blush for Gil because - *damn* - it was unfair that he got to look good in everything. Devastating even, because now he’s be distracted and he wanted to touch and coo and faint all at once; he could see it! Gil juxtaposed over every line, especially when he laughed, the way he cocked his hip and showed off just how *him* he was. “So—-“ cleared his throat and shook his head because that wasn’t it at all and “,but I lied. I’m — the surprise doesn’t matter because I lied to you and now —- now you won’t want anything to do with me…” the wince as he tried to look anywhere other than the towering frame, the wrapping reds and greens. “Because…I—I’m sorry I couldn’t tell you before. I promised! And that was a lie, too..” Diasporite sighed over the mess he’d made, threaded his braid though his fingers, agitated at himself for it all coming to this. He should’ve told Gill long ago — “…I’d understand if you wanted someone else to train you?” Someone who wasn’t a liar - even if he wanted very badly too - but no, Gil had the right to tell him off - Titan did, too.

Instead of laughing with him, Dia seemed panicked more than anything. Titan was thrown off. His weapon dissipated with his surprise and he reached a hand out to put fingers under that chin. Gently pulling that face up, hoping to focus pink eyes on brown, Titan clicked his tongue. "Listen," he started, voice patient, even gentle. "This? This I understand lying about. It's not...." He thought a moment about phrasing his words. One hand smoothed through Dia's bangs, looking over that small face. He now cupped both cheeks before leaning in and pressing his lips to that forehead. "This isn't something you can control once it happens." That's what he learned. He had to learn to lie. "Other than this, you haven't lied, right? When you said you can't meet up 'cause you had work, for this, that doesn't count. I am so not mad at you." He ran his thumbs over the hinge of Dia's jaw, trying to soothe upset the little kitten. "I didn't know you were gonna be assigned to train me. But hey.... Now you can share this with me, right? Teach this old man something new?" Bring back that smile, kitten...

*But he'd lied!?*Even if it was of omission, without intent of cruelty like before; but Gil was forgiving him. Understanding and hot touch of leather clad fingers that felt warm beneath the chill of the night air. Dia flinched for the kiss, blushed to the roots of his hair - because *kiss* - reminiscent of - so gentle soft and caring that he could've cried as easily as he could've burst into flames on the spot. It felt like forgiveness. He wasn't the sort of person who was going to throw that away, not twice. "You promise -- you swear?" whisper soft, and Dia snorted for his own unease, wrangled something like a smile into place even as he nuzzled the hands that held his head higher - met gills eyes. "I want a hug first. My lessons are very costly you know -- and team bonding is an important thing to consider!" he laughed and reached - knew the hug would make it feel right. As right as the image of riding into battle on Titans shoulders; bright little dreams of possibilities, shared comradery, no longer having to *hide*. Not anything. He didn't have to hide anything from Gil who could see through him like he was transfer paper under a light. How he knew to make him feel good - right - better -Oh, he was going to teach him things alright.

"This lie is one I can understand now. Before? No, not so much. This one's okay." Those large arms wrapped around the smaller man and pulled him to his chest, pressing against him tightly. "I promise." Having leaned down to tuck his nose into Dia's hair, Titan felt himself relax a bit more too. "You're doing good, kid," he whispered as he pulled back pushing some of Dia's bangs from his face. His hands were still gloved, making little crinkles as he pet those cheeks a little more before stepping away. "Is a hug all I have to pay? That's not too bad. I can tolerate hugging a scrawny man." He was back to teasing, good-natured and bright-eyed. "Now. Teach this old dog new tricks."

“It’s all you have to pay for now.” A breathless little laugh squeezed free, Dia settled easily into being held. It was startlingly nice - the simple forgiveness without the tension wire of worry attached. No longer needing to guess at what reaction his inevitable exposure for being said lie would bring. Titan got it - no - Gil got it and was kind word and soft gestures. Left him to nuzzle soft dark leather, while braking cheshire bright for the tickle of it across his face. “Though I might charge you more for being cheeky…” a snorted tease, and Dia didn’t bother to scrub the pleased warmth from his face or tamper his smile. He beamed at Gil, tucked his hands behind his ruffles, and hummed. “Heh, alright though, trick number one? Energy gathering…“ and Dia popped a gum ball sized bit of light into the palm of his hand. It was his own, robins egg blue, he made it grow..would be the example himself to start before they worked the public over. Gil seemed like the kind of dog that regardless of age? Wouldn’t have issues with a fight — with mastering the basics— had the size and spirit for things surely. Had the energy, Mier knew. With the way he worked so hard. Oh — the happiness for that? To have Gil in their side of things. He could think of nothing better.

Titan's lips curled as Dia took comfort from him. Of course, he leaned forward to press his lips to that forehead, nosing into it softly. He was absolutely gorgeous like this. He'd have to file that information away for later. But he soon let go and turned his attention back to lessons. Yes, he needed to know these things. And so Titanowodginite would listen and absorb. Dia seemed to thrive like this.
