Hallo! And schönen tag to you my friend! I'm Zane Esser, and it's a pleasure to meet you~ I'm a young man of 23 years old, but, ah... due to my current, um... 'circumstances', I have somehow been reverted back to being 13 years old. I'm still trying to figure out how exactly that came to be, so believe me when I say that I am just as confused as you likely are. But anyways, moving on! My birthday is on the 17th of January, which I suppose would make me a Capricorn if you're into the horoscope stuff. As far as looks go, as an adult I stand at about... 6'3" and weighed about 196 lbs., but as of recently that's shrunken down to about 4'11" and 93 lbs. I've got a fairly average body type, though I do have a bit of lean muscle in the ol' arms and legs. Kinda have to be strong to be able to take care of Pokemon sometimes, especially if they get a bit unruly! Though I don't know how much of that may or may not have stayed since the whole 'reversion' thing. I wasn't exactly the strongest physically as a kid, but I can run pretty fast and pretty far! I have short, white hair that's not exactly long but it can be pulled back into a miniature ponytail at least, and red eyes much like my mom's. I certainly inherited quite a bit from her while sis got more of my dad in her looks, haha~
As for the more... romantic stuff, I suppose the best answer for that is that I'm still trying to figure it out for the most part, you know? Gender doesn't really matter to me at all, generally, all I really care about is if you're a good person and are generally alright to hang around with~ I'm not currently looking for anyone as of right now, though, for very specific reasons...

Personality:
Calm, cool, gentlemanly, and kind to a fault unless you give him good reason not to be, Zane isn't exactly the most outgoing socially but he's friendly to just about anyone he meets and would prefer making friends than enemies. He really just likes to enjoy other people's company in general, making small talk, sharing stories, and even cracking a few jokes here and there, though he's just as content with hanging out in the background simply observing and listening. He's very easygoing, able to maintain a kind smile even when people aren't so nice back to him. But be warned, even if he has the patience of a saint, even he can only tolerate so much for so long before he snaps. He doesn't like being angry or using violence against others if it can, but sometimes drastic situations call for drastic measures. Usually he will try to find more productive means of channeling his anger and negativity, and he is an avid stress baker as he finds making delicious pastries and sweets to be very therapeutic for him.
Being a nurse in training, he knows that certain situations have to be handled with a sense of tact, a level head, and a controlled calmness to avoid causing unnecessary panic and stress. He can handle himself fairly well when under pressure in situations that require immediate medical attention or when taking action could be the crucial difference between life and death. But outside of that, Zane is prone to anxiety and panicking when he doesn't know what to do right away, and tends to hyperventilate and overthink things to the point of just making himself worry even more. He does have certain techniques he uses to keep himself from getting too deep into that vicious cycle, such as deep breathing and busying his hands with other things to keep his mind occupied, but sometimes he forgets when he's panicking especially hard.
Zane will often put helping others above helping himself, and seems to have little to no self preservation. He'd hardly hesitate for even a moment to throw himself into the ocean during a storm to rescue a stranded Pokemon trapped in out on the water, the kind of guy who'd jump in to take a bullet for a good friend without even a moment's thought regardless of if it would kill or seriously injure him. Some may call it stupid and needlessly reckless, but Zane wouldn't hesitate to give his own life if it meant potentially saving the life of one or even many.
History:
Born and raised in Coumarine City to parents who were famous in the TV and film scene alongside his fraternal twin sister, Zenzi, Zane often explains his relationship with his family as… somewhat complicated. The Esser twins never really felt very close to their parents, who, when not away on some business meeting with one of their agents or on set to film, would often try to drag the kids to fancy parties and other events where members of the ‘upper crust’ would come out to mingle. Zane, while not antisocial in the least even as a kid, often found himself intimidated meeting so many other famous and wealthy people. And it especially didn’t help when his parents would constantly nag and egg him on to make a good impression, and it often felt like he and his sister were just being brought to such gatherings so their parents could show them off to all their friends for attention. But Zane never complained, only put on his signature smile and acted as polite as possible or else there would surely be severe consequences if he ‘made a fool’ out of his mom and dad.
On the other hand, he and his sister were thick as thieves, one was almost never seen without the other on any occasion. When trying to put on a show for the sake of their family became too tiresome, Zenzi was the one who would swoop in to rescue him and whisk him off to somewhere quiet, less crowded, and free of having to constantly live up to expectations. Zenzi was always the one who took up responsibility between the two of them, always standing up for him whenever she felt like he was in trouble and comforting him when he needed it most. The two did everything together, sneaking out to explore the city at night when their parents were asleep, sitting through homeschooling with the personal teacher their parents hired, and so much more.
One of the few silver linings in the twins’ childhood was when they could visit their grandmother in Laverre, typically being brought over to stay for up to weeks at a time whenever their parents had to travel out of the region for work. And over time, staying at their grandma’s place gradually became more and more frequent as their parents returned home less and less often, until finally they were unceremoniously dumped into her home to stay in Laverre full time. Their grandmother, though probably one of the sternest women on the face of the planet and who would often work the twins near to the bone with chores, truly loved them and did her best to raise and care for them as she was the only other family they had nearby. It was through spending time with her that Zane discovered his love for baking and crocheting among other things, and finally felt like he was able to branch out and be more like himself than he ever could in his life thus far. No more having to put on a polite face for the sake of making a good impression, no more pressure to have to act like the perfect son, no more stuffy gatherings and having to wear suits that always felt just a touch too stiff… He finally felt freer than he ever had, and by Arceus he was going to use it to his advantage.
However, as they grew older into their teenage years, Zane couldn’t help but notice that Zenzi was acting… different. She would often spend a lot of time out of the house on her own and would typically return home well past midnight, and even started hanging around with certain people who seemed incredibly shady and suspicious… His sister even started being colder towards him for reasons unknown, always brushing him off and saying that her affairs were none of his business whenever he tried to ask if anything was wrong or questioned what she was doing. Zane tried to give her whatever space she needed, knowing that getting involved would likely only make the situation worse and would cause her to push him away further. Yet he still had that nagging feeling in the back of his mind that something bad was going to happen… And when he finally was able to gather up the resolve to try and confront her about what was going on, he found, much to his horror, that she had vanished. His sister had suddenly disappeared without even a word or a note, there was no trace of her in Laverre or even in any of the surrounding towns and cities. It was maybe the first time in his life that he had ever been without his twin sister, who’d been his rock and his best friend all throughout their childhood together.
Zane felt lost without her, yet he tried to carry on as best he could, putting up missing posters and combing through the whole of Kalos alongside his grandmother in hopes that Zenzi would be found and brought back home. Yet nothing about her ever came up for years, and though he tried his best to remain optimistic that maybe some clue that could point to her would come up, Zane couldn’t help but sink deeper into the possible reality that his sister might not ever come back. And it only made it that much worse that he had no idea if she was still alive, or if she might be injured or possibly dead somewhere and he couldn’t do anything about it… Until finally, five long years later, Zenzi suddenly showed up back at their home on a stormy day, drenched to the bone and looking like she’d seen a ghost. When the twins finally saw each other for the first time in so long, Zenzi wasted no time pulling her brother into a tight hug, sobbing and apologizing profusely for everything and holding onto him as if he’d slip away forever if she let go for even a second. For the first time in five years, Zane finally felt like he had his sister, that things could finally go back to the way they were before everything that had happened.
But of course, even that was too much to ask for as Zenzi begged both him and their grandmother that they had to leave, that Kalos was likely no longer safe for them to stay in. She promised to explain everything, but only after she was sure they would be safe for the time being. Their grandmother was less than pleased with having to leave everything behind, but at Zenzi’s request they packed up everything they could in the span of a couple days and left Kalos behind. From there, they chose to settle down in Galar, a region that seemed relatively self-contained and safe from a lot of outside influence. Their grandmother bought a house in Hulbury, while the twins, more than capable of living on their own and feeling that staying separated would be safer in the long run, took up residence in Wedgehurst. It took some time to get used to living in such a small and rural town, but Zane found that it felt much more relaxed and simple here, so much different from a large city like Coumarine and far smaller than Laverre. There wasn’t a whole lot to do around the area, but the twins were able to find ways to busy themselves. Zane took up training to be a nurse at the local Pokemon Center, while Zenzi stayed mostly at home, only leaving occasionally to go shopping, attend her part-time job in Motostoke City, or when they went to visit their grandmother in Hulbury. It took some getting used to, having to live in a completely foreign area after leaving their childhood home behind so suddenly, but… Zane finally felt at peace, reunited with his sister, and together he felt confident they could get through anything…
Until one night, as Zane was on his way home from doing some shopping out in Motostoke City, something incredibly strange happened…

Zane doesn't exactly have a type that he likes the least, but he's definitely not a huge fan of Poison types because they can be very dangerous. Dark types are an odd case, he doesn't care much for them, but he doesn't necessarily hate them and feels that they could potentially be used for good in some cases.
