Dria got up to get everyone hot chocolate, while Dani got everyone blankets. Their thoughts were that this was going to take a while and it was starting to get chilly. Meanwhile, Darius Ammun was pacing on the floor trying to force himself to remember, which of course wasn't working. He wanted to understand what had gotten Drew, his bonded so upset.
Drew just sat quietly and waited for everyone to return. Finally, Dani came and passed out blankets, and Dria passed out hot chocolate - Dari's was in a bowl on the floor. Drew sipped his quietly, to him it turned to ash in his mouth - would food or drink ever bring him pleasure or health again?
Finally, everyone was seated and comfortable, so he started once more. "For the next few days, everything was quiet. I worked on a few temples in the main city, and nothing happened. Then on the eighth day I was working on the wall of what was once a very important office in the Great Library of Etamin. It turned out to be mine. Again, I sank into memory-
Etamin (civilian form) is seated at a very elaborate desk, where he is working on Librarian tasks, and studying as well. Aker (in Cat form) is seated upon the desk, supervising and helping if needed. It has been six months since Etamin was Awakened, he is adjusting well.
Basket strides in with Darius. She smiles at them. "Hello Dear, hello Hapii."
Etamin looks up from his work, nodding and smiling, and Dari smiles back. Aker smiles and nods to his family, then frowns. "I didn't realize it was time for lunch already. Time flies."
Basket shook her head. "Not time for lunch. I am here for something else." He frowned in confusion- she frowned in frustration, but not with him. "It's that time again-Pasithee."
And with that they were on their way to the world of Pasithee. Pasithee was an interesting case. It was another world within the Court. The Sensh-ihood usually fell to the eldest daughter of a certain lineage, and usually skipped two or three generations. Sailor Pasithee was due to awaken this generation.
The family that held the Prestigious Pasithee Lineage, held two Daughters this generation- Da'nan who was turning 14 in a few days, and her younger sister Do'zan, who had just turned 8. The thing was, most Pasithee awakened somewhere around age 8, and never after age 14. Da'nan was always tested every year on her birthday, but so far... no starseed was ever found, ready to awaken. If it wasn't found this year... panic could spread... there were signs of worry, of rioting - well as much rioting as one could get on a planet made almost entirely of rivers. There were already rumors going around that it was the end times - or that something was wrong with the Senshi Cycle.
On the way, Aker and Basket primed Etamin and Darius on how they should behave. Calm, Cool, Collected. Respectful. Only power up if absolutely necessary. Follow our cues.
Well, they got there and Etamin and Darius were watching the Ceremony. But Etamin was more interested in Do'zan. She was 8 like him. Hmm. Pasithee's awakened around age 8. She was of the Pasithee Lineage, and they had said it was usually the older daughter - why couldn't it be the younger daughter for once? As Etamin watched, Do'zan was putting together a model of the Senshi Temple-Ship. He looked at Da'nan. She seemed more interested in boys and how she looked. If he remembered correctly, most Sailor Pasithee were very intelligent.
Sadly, the ceremony, failed - Da'nan again did not have a starseed ready to away. People began to panic. He had to say something. He stepped forward. "May I say something?" Aker and Basket frowned at him- giving a look, that clearly said, This better be good! Darius looked at curiously.
"Try the younger daughter. Try Do'zan." They all stared at like he was crazy. "Just trust me. Sailor Pasithee awakens around age 8, right? Do'zan just turned eight. Sailor Pasithee is among the women of a certain lineage. Do'zan, is obviously a girl of that lineage. Yes, she is usually the elder daughter, keyword 'usually' meaning 'not all the time'. I also know from my studying that Sailor Pasithee is very intelligent. Look at Do'zan - she's building a model of the Senshi Temple-Ship - that takes intelligence - and at age eight too. Look at Da'nan - no offense miss, but she seems more interested in how she looks and in guys. I may have been Sailor Etamin for only 6 months but trust me."
Aker, Basket, and the Warrior-Priests and Warrior-Priestesses looked at him in wonder and then at the two girls - as did the crowd - somehow, he made so much sense. Do'zan looked intrigued, while Da'nan glared at him.
Aker and Basket called up Do'zan, and sure enough they immediately sensed her starseed and awakened her. Do'zan stood before the crowd, the Warrior Priests elbowing Da'nan out of the way to bring Do'zan forward, "Excuse me," to her glare. "We present to you, your new Sailor Pasithee!" There was an enormous.
Basket noticed the elbowing and murmured to her husband Aker, "I forgot. This seems to be another world where the Senshi is stripped of everything." "Mmm," Aker replied. "Another lost kitten for our litter?" Darius and Etamin grinned. A sister? Hooray!
Drew finished this round of memories and felt silent. "And so, I joined the family," Dria piped in. "At age 8, no less." Dria rolled her eyes. "Are you saying that all of us in our past lives at age eight wore Egyptian clothes, lived on far away planets with Egyptian-like Cultures and at age 8, got striped of names and families, and were chosen to defend our planets - and then got adopted by Cat people? (No offense, Dari!)" Drew nodded. "It's true and it goes on." "And you're telling my name was 'Do'zan' like Go Van Go?" She rolled her eyes. "Well, at least it isn't as bad as Happy Marie." Now it was Drew's turn to roll his eyes.
