Geocronite barely had a moment to breath before Pendour had caught them and teleported them. When they finally stopped moving and he could feel the release from the other's hand he fell to the ground exhausted. He was both very relieved and worried. Worried still as this was only temporary.

The Negaverse knew who he was. They knew his civilian identity. Unless there was some way to change himself, they would be able to find him again. He took a moment to open his eyes and found sunlight in his eyes as compared to the darkness that was currently where they lived on Earth.

He looked over at Pendour. "Thanks." He said, still out of breath and with a bit of shakiness before he sat up so that he was sitting. "They... found me. I know it was only a matter of time but they still did it. I can't go back now." He said, giving her a sad look before noticing where they were. He took a moment and then moved his gaze back to her. "What is this place?"

"You're on Neptune," said Pendour, her voice soft as soft. She knelt down next to Geocronite as he collapsed. "You're safe here."

Her ancestor might come scold her for bringing Chaos up onto her Wonder, but with luck they'd be safe even from that.

The sound of flowing water echoed throughout the Wonder, these days. The cove and its waterfalls, that she'd fixed around the time that she'd transcended, were visible a little ways beyond them. Above them was more water. Pendour was contained in a glass bubble, under the sea.

"Breathe, okay? I have calming magic, if you need it." The ocarina was on her wrist, and she held it out so that he could see that it wasn't anything scary.

She looked different than he would've remembered, too. She was stronger now, and glowing.

"Tell me what happened. Are you still thinking of leaving the Negaverse?" Probably, given what had happened leading up to this point, but she hardly wanted to assume.

He decided to follow Pendour's advice and took a deep breath. And then another one. "I... think I'm okay without the magic for now, but thank you for offering it. I might need it later when the shock really starts to set in." He said with a chuckle. As she asked about what happened he sighed. "It was inevitable, but they managed to find me after months of me being MIA. They were going to take me back and do... something. I don't know what, I just teleported out of there as quickly as I could."

He wanted to say something sarcastic about of course he still wanted to leave the Negaverse but kept his thought to himself. This Knight, who had appeared to have gotten stronger and changed a bit since he had last seen her, had saved him. It wouldn't do well to snap at her. "Yes. I still want to but this has forced my hand. They found me as a civilian, so unless there's some sort of Negaverse witness protection program, they'll be able to find me as soon as I get back." He said, the last part with another sigh coming out of his mouth. "I'm not sure, if I were to go back in time, if I would want to learn about this magical war and what's going on in it again but... We can't do that. And I want to do everything in my power to stop the Negaverse. But that's going to be harder now that they know who I am."

The ocarina stayed where it was. At his request, she did not play it, not yet.

"The Negaverse would not give you witness protection if they found out that you're planning to leave," she said. "If you return to them, they'll kill you, or youmafy you." Her voice was gentle, still, but also certain.

"Last time we spoke, you said that you needed time to get your affairs in order. I hope that you were able to do that, because I don't think you have any more time to wait. I think you need to leave now, or soon, if you don't want something terrible to happen."

She pressed her lips together before taking a second to smile softly at him. "It's okay, though. You'll be safe for a moment, here, and once your purify our magic will be able to protect you from them recognizing you."

"That's not surprising, though why they would force someone unwilling to go in in the first place and not expect them to turn traitor is something else." He said with a chuckle, fighting the small feeling of dread that was created from her words.

He nodded. "It was enough. The rent was running out on the cabin and I started to apply to different jobs and dropped out of University. I don't have anything to go back to at least. And you're right. It needs to happen now." His heart wanted it. WANTED to purify. He wanted out of the Negaverse and knew that he could do it now.

He felt a bit comforted at her words. at least he wouldn't look the same to them then. "That's good. It wouldn't do to be recognized even after purification." Still, how was it supposed to happen? There were Royals that he had heard about but could any of them make it to Neptune? "How would I purify? Is there some sort of Royal for Neptune?"

She had not been requested by name, but she didn’t have to be. Cosmos didn’t listen for herself, she listened for the starseeds, calling out for help.

Sometimes, she could save them. Sometimes, it was too late.

Tonight, there was still a chance.

At first, her presence probably wasn’t noticed; she was no more than a meteor in the sky, with a faint, colorful trail.

And then, she was there.

Cosmos stood before the two; she looked between Pendour and the Negaverse Captain across from her. She seemed a bit guarded and held onto her staff, but she looked at him thoughtfully.

“Your starseed is calling for help. You seek salvation?” she asked, cautious only because she wasn’t willing to fall into a trap. But, Pendour was there. That was a good sign.

"Not a royal for Neptune, that I know of, but I can try to make some calls," she was already saying, fiddling with her signet ring and hoping that one of the two people that she knew of would be able to come up and help, or at least meet them on the way back to Earth.

The thought was interrupted by the impossibly bright aura that appeared before them. It was a miracle. Pendour knew that, instinctively.

She still could not help but blink at the stranger in white who was now standing on the mosaic floors of her Wonder. Something felt vaguely familiar about her presence, but that only made things more confusing because Pendour didn't think she'd ever seen this senshi before in her life.

"Um. How did you get here?" asked Pendour, first, her tone almost going a bit defensive before she realized what she was saying. "Not that it, um, matters, though?" she added quickly. "All are welcome to Pendour."

Someone who could help might be especially welcome right now, and she glanced over to Geocronite, waiting for his answer and not wanting to take the words or decision from him.

Geo had jumped a little when there was another person in front of them and it took a moment for his brain to realize that not only had he been asked a question, but that it was about salvation and his starseed. He took a quick look at Pendour before getting up and looking at the Newcomer. "Yes." He had made sure not to give out a hesitant answer. If this... he wasn't sure what she was, but if she was able to help him out of the Negaverse, he didn't want to give her any indication that he was hesitating.

He needed to be the one to explain himself. "I was forcibly corrupted into the Negaverse. I want out. And if that means I'll have a chance to right whatever wrongs I did in the Negaverse and help out Order, that's what I'll do." He was sure of it. He wasn't seeking vengeance, but he couldn't just ignore what the Negaverse had done not only to him, but what he had witnessed while he was there.

Cosmos glanced at Pendour for only a second before she nodded. “This is your world? I apologize for the intrusion. I do not always have the luxury of asking for permission. I am very in tune with the starseeds. I am always listening. When I can, I come to help.”

Her attention shifted to the Negaverse Agent.

“I am Cosmos, Keeper of the Cauldron. If I can help, I will. I have the power to help you purge the Chaos from your starseed. I can give you aid, but you must accept it. It’s the only way to free yourself. If you are ready, I can do it now.”

She did not step towards him; instead, she seemed to wait for him to come to her. She dismissed her staff and faced him, ready to do this now or to wait for him to compose himself.

Cosmos. Okay. Pendour recognized that name.

She remembered people saying it during that first meeting with Lyndin, when they'd been trying to decide if they were to trust him or not. Everyone
who spoke of Cosmos had sounded like they already trusted her.

Pendour would trust her, too.

"Welcome, Cosmos," she said, with a slight nod. "It seems that we are, um, in need of your help, yes."

It sounded like Geocronite still wanted to leave, now that the opportunity was right in front of him. "This is the answer, isn't it?" she asked, turning back to him, "What you've been waiting for? It's okay. Be free, and afterwards we'll make sure you're safe."

Geo couldn't help but smirk a little. He looked over at Pendour. "Looks like it has to be here and now. Thanks for your help." He said before taking a couple of steps in front of Cosmos and putting on a more serious face.

"Thank you for coming Cosmos. I hope you can help. I no longer want to be a part of the Negaverse. Well, I never did, but I am fully ready to move away from them. I'll accept any and all help and any consequences that may come from accepting that help." He remembered being told that he could lose some memories. If that had to happen then so be it. He didn't want to be tortured by them any longer.

"If possible, I would like you to purge the Chaos from my starseed." He hoped that was direct enough. He wasn't sure how much he had to say in order to show that he truly was ready.

“It is possible,” Cosmos promised, and it seemed like his permission and will to be free was all that she needed. She reached her hand to rest over his chest. “I cannot promise this will be painless. But I can promise that you will have a future. You will be free. You are in good hands.”

Her hands, for now.

Energy rippled around her, gentle and warm. Her touch was light, but determined. She kept her eyes on him–and then, the power began to move. From her, to him. To his starseed.

To the Chaos that had polluted it.

And then, the Chaos began to burn away. It melted, scattered, burned out of every last crevice of his starseed.

It was fast, at least.

Pendour often spoke about purification, but she'd never actually seen it happen with her own eyes until now.

She inhaled sharply at the sudden brightness. She bit her lips as the light that came from Cosmos's fingertips started burning the tendrils of darkness away. Her eyes were wide, her gaze somewhere between excited and reverent.

It was only after a few moments that she remembered that she'd been told purification hurt.

As she stepped forwards, she placed her hands butterfly light on his shoulder. "It's okay," she whispered to him, her voice as soft and soothing as she could possibly make it. "You're safe now. You're safe. You'll be free."

Geocronite was ready for Cosmos to do whatever she needed to, but couldn't steel himself quite as quickly as he wanted to when she said that it wouldn't be painless. It hurt. As though something deep inside of his chest was on fire, but it was so much deeper than that.

Probably because it was his literal soul that was having chaos burned away.

He didn't cry out though, he grit his teeth while it happened, and Pendour had come over to comfort him through it. When it was done he almost felt the need to stagger back or sit down. He certainly felt different. Stronger and... not filled with chaos. He wasn't sure how to put it. His brain was still recovering. He turned to Pendour and nodded to her, gently removing her hands from his shoulders and moving to the nearest body of water to look at his reflection.

He still had a hood. But this time he was decked out in green and brown instead of the crimson and highlight that he had been in before. He attempted to remember... and felt some pain. Yes, there was definitely some memory missing there. For a moment it was scary, but he would have to figure out what he did and didn't remember later.

He turned back to the two and walked over to them. "Cosmos, thank you. I don't think I could ever adequately express how thankful I am for your help." He turned to Pendour. He was glad that he remembered both of their names, even if the former he had only seen in the last few minutes. "And thank you Pendour. I don't think this would have happened without you." He sighed and rubbed the side of his face with one of his hands. "I'm going to need some time to... take in who I am now." A name came to him. "Drombeg. But I'm glad that I can finally move on and confront the Negaverse directly instead of hiding and keeping to myself as I did before."

Cosmos bowed her head just slightly in a quiet acknowledgement of the gratitude. She didn’t seem like she needed any of it, but she had no intention to be rude. She took a step back when the purification was completed, giving him the space he needed to speak with Pendour.

Though her face was relatively expressionless, she seemed relieved. Her posture had relaxed, and there was even something that looked a bit like fondness on her face.

The Chaos was gone. He knew his name.

He had a future. He had a chance.
