When Lysithea made it home, she had little energy to do more than just power down and lay face first on her couch, smothering her face in the pillow. With luck, she would end up suffocating but.
No…that wouldn’t be luck. Faustite would–
She grimaced and rolled over, pulling the pillow over her face instead. Evan would be sad…and she supposed Rosie would be sad too…which…made her unhappy to think of. But…the whole idea of…of everyone in the Negaverse was…rather off putting and…
Well. That was a problem.
Considering the fact that she was in the Negaverse, it was her own problem so…she should do something…
Cambria Dempsey…it was an interesting name…and a pretty one…and finally, Anastasia tossed the pillow to the floor and made her way over, grabbing her laptop and doing a quick search on the person who Evan had told her that she used to be.
She found a social media page, found a picture of…well. Someone who looked enough like her that she had to pause. The hair was styled differently, but…but there was Evan. And…oh.
…Malcolm too…
And oh. This Cambria was kissing a blonde guy…
Carefully, she clicked on the tagged person in the photo, and was disappointed to see nothing posted but a picture that was also on Cambria’s page…well.
…That was a pity.
The knock on her door made Ana jump and she looked up, startled and slammed the laptop shut, walking to the door and opening it slowly. “Oh…Rosie. What’s up?”

Rosie was scared. To say the absolute least. She wasn't sure, exactly, what she intended to do when she saw Ana next, but it felt like....like things were coalescing. Like the time to rip the band-aid off was getting a lot closer. And more than that, like if she kept up the lie, kept pretending that she and Ana had been something, that Ana had been in the Negaverse, that....that any of it was real...
The truth was inevitable. The only control she had was over when she revealed it, and letting it go on too long---it was wrong.
But she wasn't sure she was ready. She knew that she had to do this, knew that the only right thing was to tell Ana the truth, but that was....scary. Still, she came, she knocked. She waited for the door to open.
"Hi, Ana." She still smiled when the door opened, and her heart still did a little flip seeing her there. But it wasn't the same--it wasn't the burst of obsessive wanting that she had become accustomed to. And there was guilt there, too.
"I um, I wanted to talk about...some stuff." She looked rueful, she was sure. "I...are you okay? Is everything okay with you?"

Rosie didn’t…look as happy to see her. Didn’t beam and throw her arms around Ana, and for a moment she thought that somehow her doubts had been sensed by her girlfriend…that…
“Ah. Talk about what? Come on in, yeah?”
Her eyes flickered over to the computer, and she closed the door behind the girl, swallowing when her back was turned.
When Anastasia turned back around she drew Rosie to the couch and tugged her into her arms. “...What’s up?”
The questions about herself, those were easy to ignore. And she did ignore them.

"It's.....kind of important," Rosie admitted. She knew that her behavior had to seem off. Knew that her lack of enthusiasm was probably apparent. More than that--knew that she shouldn't let Ana pull her into her arms on the couch, and yet she stayed there, because she wanted to have this. For just a little bit longer.
It was nice, to hold onto the dream.
But it was a dream, and she couldn't cling to it forever.
"It's about....the Negaverse," she said, voice soft. "And our place in it. Yours and mine." Her eyes drifted down to Ana's hands. She couldn't make herself look her in the face--even though she should. Ana deserved that. But she couldn't manage it.
"Ana, I--" She swallowed. "I've been lying to you. A lot. And I'm sorry. And I need to come clean."

Ana froze at the words, drawing in a sharp breath when she felt her lungs beginning to burn, and with a loud, painful swallow, she drew away from Rosie, looking at her with pain filled eyes. “...Excuse me? What…what do you mean you’ve been lying to me…?” Her vision began to blur and the room darkened slightly. This…this was…so much to deal with.
Cleeia and then Evan and now…now this?
For a moment, the world completely went dark as everything collapsed on her and Ana slumped on the couch for a moment, ears ringing and vision completely blacking out.
After a few moments she came back to herself, blinking and confused. “...What do you mean you’ve been lying to me?”

Rosie yelped, gently reaching out to put her hands on Ana's shoulders. There was a burst of fear--had she fainted??
"Ana? Are you okay?" She was careful, gentle, and felt a surge of guilt. This was on her--she had dropped this on her, and now it was just going to get worse.
God, it was just going to get worse.
"I--I--" Her eyes began to well with tears, guiltily. "I don't know if you were in the Negaverse before, but I'm pretty sure you weren't. I only ever met you when you were on the other side. The thing I said--about you saving me--that was true. But you were trying to help me purify. We were going to be friends, and you were going to help me get out. And then. And then it all went wrong."
She swallowed.
"I'm pretty sure Faustite is lying to you, too."

Ana drew away from Rosie’s touch, feeling like every point of contact burned. “...What do you mean it went wrong. I expect answers, Rosie.” She felt so tired, so utterly and completely drained, and it was…
Well. It was uncomfortable. Uncomfortable to have her girlfriend…or.
“...So we were never dating too, hm? That was a lie. Everything was a lie? What is he lying about?” For once, she couldn’t bear to say Faustite’s name. Her…brother’s name?
…Her kidnappers name?
She shuddered and got off of the couch, moving to sit instead in the recliner, curling up into a ball and looking at Rosie with a pained, expectant expression. “Talk.”

Rosie took a deep breath. Looked up, shoulders quaking slightly. Forced herself to look Ana in the face. Because this wasn't about her. This wasn't about how she felt. This was about Ana deserving the truth.
"We weren't. That was a lie. And it was wrong of me--so wrong--to deceive you like that. And I'll understand if you can't forgive me, and I'll leave as soon as we've set everything straight, but--please, just let me set everything straight for you." At least Ana was demanding that she talk. That was better than being completely thrown out on her a**.
So she took a breath.
"I'm pretty sure you weren't ever in the Negaverse before, Ana. I think we took you away from Order. It--it might have been before my time? Maybe? But I don't think so. I think Faustite is lying about you being his sister. And I'm sorry for perpetuating that."
She swallowed.
"Things went wrong for you and me because Hessonite showed up. I think she might have followed me. And she--she did something--and I wasn't able to think straight, after that. I forgot why I wanted to leave. Forgot that the Negaverse almost killed me, more than once. Forgot that I hated it here. And I--I started--" She hiccuped, and forced herself not to cry. Not. About. Her. "I started obsessing over you. Wanting to destroy you, at first, for--for 'lying' to me and trying to decieve me away--which isn't what happened! You were trying to help me!--and then, once you corrupted in that awful battle, I wanted to possess you." Admitting those feelings out loud, laying them out--to the person they were about--made Rosie feel sick to her stomach. How could she have become something so awful?

“What awful battle? When did this happen? Tell me how it happened…did you…were you there?” Ana felt sick to her stomach, but was trying to piece things together as much as she could…it…wasn’t working terribly well but. She was trying.
“Tell me everything, Rosie. Don’t leave anything out. I need to know. Why…why do you think he’s lying? Are you sure that he is? What…what are the facts?”
Ana tried to force away the sudden wave of despair that threatened to engulf her when she was told that Rosie wanted to possess her…did…so…
“...So you never really…liked me anyway? That was just…something that General Queen Hessonite did….? Your feelings for me were a lie?”

Rosie shivered.
"I was there, yes. It was a big fight--the Negaverse worked with those odd aliens, the Velencians--or with their leader, at least, the. The big, buff man, have you met him?--to set a trap for the other side. Something they did made the air so full of Chaos, it...it changed people right there, on the spot. And you were one of them. There wasn't an operation to rescue you, or--or anything, but--I think Faustite does care about you, just. In a way where he's willing to lie to you, and hurt you, and that's not. Good."
The question about her feelings was a knife to her chest. But there was only one answer.
"....No, they weren't a lie. I do love you. That's why I have to tell you the truth. Because I want you to be happy, and I know you're not happy here."

“I see…” Ana closed her eyes, breathing slowly through her nose as she thought about all of this. “...Do you still want out? If I was helping you get out before…is that what you still want? To leave?”
It would have to be done quickly…and she was sure that Evan could help…Evan knew people, that much was obvious…and…
Well.
If she talked to Faustite and Ilse wasn’t out…she would be dead quickly and…
Despite everything…Ana loved her too.

"I still want out," Rosie said, voice soft. "But I didn't want to leave without telling you the truth. Or without telling you that I'm going."
She wrung her hands together, and stood up.
"I know someone who can help me. He told me his name was Mikellos, and he's looking for you--I told him I would help him find you, because it's very obvious that he cares about you very much." She smiled, but it was wobbly, and absolutely miserable. "He's also very handsome. You're very lucky."

Drawing her knees to her chest, Ana gave a soft hum. “...Is he a Saturn Knight? I heart one of them was looking for me. Mikellos, hm? I…know someone who can help too. You’ll stay here tonight, Rosie. And I’ll take you to him tomorrow. He knows senshi and other people. He knew me before too. Told me all about myself. He’ll be better than some weirdo who’s stalking me.”
Her eyes flickered to the girl and she scowled slightly. “...Why are you standing? You’re staying the night. Do you have everything you might need? I don’t know how all of this works…but. Maybe. If you have to go and get your things…do so quickly and come back. I’m not going to be happy until I know you’re safe in the hands of my friend. I don’t really trust anything right now. And I’m going to confront Faustite so. You need to get out, because I know he’ll try to kill you.”
That wasn’t even something that was up for debate.

"He's a Saturn Knight, yeah," Rosie acknowledged. But it sounded like Lysithea had found other connections--more connections--with people that wanted to help her.
Rosie's eyes began to water when Ana told her she wanted her to stay, and she nodded.
"Okay. Let me go get my stuff, and the notes I wrote to myself, and all of that, I--you told me that when I left I'd forget things. But I hope...I hope that whatever I lose, I remember you."
She took a breath that caught on an almost-sob. "So--I'm gonna run home, and pack a bag, and I'll be back soon? And we'll find your friend in the morning."

Ana hesitated and stood up, moving to draw Rosie into her arms, holding her close. “...You’ll remember me. I’ll make sure of it. I’ll make sure that after tonight…you can never forget me, Rosie.” Tilting the other woman’s head back, Lysithea kissed her gently.
“...Now hurry. Go now so you can be back as quickly as possible. I love you, Rosie.”
She gently pushed the girl away and scooped up her laptop once again, burrowing back into the chair and opening up the page of the social media once more.
While Rosie was gone, she could figure something else out. Hopefully.
