Olivia came home after the disaster of the night she had had and spent a long time in the shower, zoning out and letting the hot water soothe away what it could, though it only managed to get away some of the aches on the outside.
When she was comfy in her pajamas, she made her way over to Tavi where he sat on the couch, and plopped herself right on his lap, pressing her face against his chest and giving a long, grumpy groan.
It felt good just to get it all out and when she felt a little bit better, she drew back and looked at her husband with sad eyes. “...Got my starseed taken today. Cybele too. It was a big mess and I’m so tired, Tavi. Why do corrupts have to be so…I don’t know. I just wanted to help her…is it too much to ask to just try and help people?”
Obviously when they didn’t want it, yes. But.
“...I’m not sure what she and Cybele talked about but. We both got our starseeds back so…that’s good.”

When Livi came home looking like the world had fallen out from beneath her, Tavi had tried to both offer her comfort, but she zoned out towards the bathroom. When he heard the shower running, he took it as a sign to wait for her on the couch and give her space. The war wasn't kind to either of them, Livi more so, and he still didn't really know how to help.
He curled a blanket around her as she sat down in his lap and groaned into his chest. Tavi kissed her curls while she let it all out, rubbing her back.
Then she pulled back and his brain went to static. He was very sure his wife was saying something about Cybele and corrupts but the only thing that registered in his brain was "got my starseed taken today" said so tiredly, like it was a normal occurrence. His lips hardened into a thin line, almost nonexistent as his hands tightened around her back.
"Livi... Olivia. My swan, my light, please, please tell me that I misheard you, and you did not just say that you had your starseed pulled from your chest today. In a tone that says that this has happened before," he said, almost deathly calm except for the shaking in his shoulders and the firm and even breaths he forced himself to take between words. The fact that she was alive was enough to keep him from launching himself into the dark of Destiny City, to hunt down the a*****e who dared to try to take his wife from him.
Just. Barely.
"I am... incredibly happy that you are home safe, if shaken up, that Cybele is safe. But I am this close to going out and hunting whoever that was down and committing violent murder, Livi, so please, please tell me I heard you wrong and that I do not have to take someone's life right now."

Olivia blinked, looking at Tavi in some alarm with his reaction. She hadn’t been expecting…the panic that she could see in his eyes and the words he spoke. After a moment she leaned up to press her lips against Tavi’s and shook her head. “No need to go out killing, nobody got murdered. She put them back. Or…put mine back. I had to put Cybele’s back…but, Tavi, she just looked so sad…like I had been. I couldn’t…help but try to help her.”
She paused and gave him a sudden, sheepish grin.
“...it’s kind of become my thing. Trying to help those who are corrupted. I took another one up to my homeworld last week…and she was so nice…and she was so sad too. She wants to purify! She wants to get herself free from chaos…and um. I might have offered our spare room, and I hope that’s okay…I couldn’t help myself. She’s going to get saved, and I’m going to be a part of it. We can be such a good support system! And I told her about you, how you also left the Negaverse…it…”
She pressed a kiss to the tip of his nose. “...Calm down, Tavi. I love you…and I’m safe.”

He melted as she kissed him, crushing her into his chest and clinging to her like his life depended on it. It did, in a way. Livi had brought him into the light, saved him from a fate worse than death. He couldn't... he couldn't breathe if she died. If she was taken from him. Tavi nosed her hair, still wet from the shower. His precious little swan...
He chuckled a little at her sudden grin and explanation about wanting to help corrupts. Hells, he was crying wasn't he? He couldn't really see her very well. By Cosmos...
"Can you help people without giving me a heart attack about it, please my darling," he said, wiping his eyes and kissing her temple. "Though, speaking of which, I've joined... started, a brigade? with other knights who left the Negaverse. So yes, we can be a lovely support system... with money."
Tavi let out a long breath and leaned back against couch. If she was going to be trying to talk to corrupts and convince them to leave the Negaverse like they did... he was going to have to go with her, wasn't he?
"I love you too Olivia... you just scared the s**t out of me. I never would have known, s**t... please at least... let me know before you do this again? Drop a GPS location or something because I can't..." Tavi ran a hand over his face, silver eyes looking at her through his fingers.
"I can't handle it if you're taken from me, alright?"

Oh…now she had gone and made him cry...that…that wasn’t what she wanted at all.
Quietly she reached up and wiped his cheeks and pressed a quiet kiss to his forehead. “I’ll try not to give you anymore heart attacks, I promise. I’m going to see if I can’t find a way to…protect myself from that…it’s not ever a great experience. It happened a while back too…I just.” …Kept it to herself so as not to worry him.
“The idea of a support system with money is fantastic! I’m so proud of you!” She grinned and rested her head in the crook of his neck, sighing. “I’m sorry, Tavi. Sorry for the secrets. Sorry for just…dumping this on you. I’m really okay, and I don’t need you to patrol with me, I won’t give you a heart attack if I can help it!”
Olivia meant every word, but…she couldn't stop what she was doing. It was too important. “If I think there’s danger, I’ll call you, I promise…but I really…I thought I could help her…this was unexpected, though I am very glad Cyb was there to help…”
Even though…they both got off pretty poorly.

Stars did he love this woman. She may worry the hell out of him, but her heart was in the right place. Tavi sighed and just held her. They were stronger together; the notes and fragments he had of his time as Jarosite had told him as much. The less they talked, the more problems cropped up. He kissed her forehead and rubbed her back.
"I know, love. She didn't want it unfortunately," he said softly, nuzzling her cheek gently. She was to good for this war, seriously.
"As long as you call me, or send me your location. Just in case. Now..." he said, gently pulling her into a more cuddly position. "Any else on your mind? Or do we wanna watch something?"

Olivia laughed softly and burrowed against him, feeling so utterly safe in Tavi’s arms. She was quite sure that there would be more danger eventually, and she knew that she wouldn’t tell him every time she went out…but she could call for backup if she had to, she would be willing to give that much at least.
“You’re the only thing on my mind, let’s watch something and head to bed? My dashing, fantastic knight.” She kissed him then, and shifted so she was facing the television, in the safest place in the universe.
