She'd fallen back into an easy rhythm with patrolling after she'd returned from her wonder. The new life there - even if it was just a few bugs - had brought hope back into Bifrost's heart. Yes, her court was scattered, yes the Zodiacs were MIA, but life had come to the Bifrost on the broken and unrepairable Surrounding. Life, in the cold, dead expanse of space. If life could now thrive out in there, then Bifrost could thrive here. She would hold onto that little bit of hope for as long as she needed to, because the alternative was no longer an option. She would not fall to that despair again. She could not.
Bifrost patrolled more for new knights or senshi, and to give guidence to to the Velencians as needed, more than fighting the Negaverse or youma. If they educated the newcomers, they would have more confidence in their role and feel less alone. Feel less lost. Lost individuals would be easy pickings for the Negaverse and a lost knight was harder to bring back to the light.
A relatively small power signature - compared to hers, which sort of 'dripped order' most of the time - pinged on her radar and she rounded a corner to see a page of... Well not Cosmos. The colors were off. Not quite Chronos either. Something... new. Something different, but distinctly a page. Had some senshi gained enough recognition to become a prince or princess?
"Hello there! I'm Bifrost of Chronos!" she said cheerfully, butt wiggling just a bit. Apparently regaining her hope had brought back her little quirks too. Not a terrible thing, just interesting to her.

How curious a greeting that was! Well not really, but the exuberance of the body language was in striking contrast to some of the individuals she had met out here recently. What she could determine however (she was learning you see), was that she was in the presence of someone more powerful than she, they were friendly and they were one of 'her'.
...That didn't mean she knew the different types of Knight though. She hadn't actually pursued that knowledge yet and it was likely to come as quite a surprise to discover there were many types. Both inner and outer planetary knights existed, as well as those she hadn't even regarded as a possibility.. Case and point, hadn't this woman said that she was 'of Chronos'.
Time?
"Hello," she replied with a warm smile. "I'm Serenitatis, Page of the Moon," she offered in kind. She had yet to feel comfortable shortening her name down, though she had heard a few do it now. It felt more appropriate to simply copy what The Code had told her, even if it hadn't necessarily intended for her to be quite so literal.
She was however, going to be a touch more forward and blunt about this one, if only because conceptually every other knight had been on some sort of planetary body.
"I didn't know Chronos was a planet," she admitted and shook her head. "Or is it named something different here and that's just another thing we have to keep secret?" she asked.
That was feasible.
Maybe Chronos was one of those large astral bodies they could barely see in their telescopes and had a number of digits as a name rather than a real one...

Page of the... Moon? Definately a new sect of knights then. That made sense given the new colors! Seren's questions brought Bifrost up short, just temporarily. Chronos wasn't a planet... that she remembered. Actually, that was a good question. She tapped her cheek, thinking for a moment.
"Chronos is... different? Chronos is my princess, but as far as I remember she doesn't have a 'planet', just a castle on the Surrounding near the Libra outpost. I'll be honest with you, I sort of think of myself as a Knight of the Surrounding more than Chronos, given that she's sort of... MIA and the Surrounding chose me after all," she said with a shrug. Honestly, actually thinking about it? The whole thing didn't even make sense.
No wonder not a lot of Chronos knights were active anymore. Just trying to explain their state was confusing, never mind the fact that they have no actual princess anymore. Okay, that probably was a fine thing to explain, given the Sol Senshi knights didn't have their princesses either. Cosmos did... but only occasionally? And sometimes you saw Ganymede and Castor and Polaris around.
"Actually... I think most knights have an MIA royal senshi these days except perhaps... Ganymede and Cosmos?" She may be going off topic but Seren had asked! And seemed curious! So it got Bifrost curious!

Oh okay, so Chronos was essentially a famous Dennys down some intergalactic highway. Given how casually Bifrost had described it and the fact it was just right there by that outpost... Seren could do nothing more than shake her head. It wasn't her intention to be disrespectful, but if it was possible to just spontaneously park castles in space then she had a lot to learn. This was simply reinforced when she mentioned Cosmos - ah yes, because there had to be knights for what was essentially the entire universe.
...Did that mean they were her boss?
"I don't think there is a Princess for the Moon?" she said at last and shook her head. That was one thing that The Code hadn't clarified for her and quite honestly, it sounded like it wasn't pertinent information. Bifrost's remarks that her own Princess had vanished seemed to imply that they weren't necessary in the grand scheme of things. It was still a curiosity though, as the royal title seemed to indicate they acted as some sort of catalyst. Was there existence what woke up The Code on their worlds or something else.
Hm.
"The Code said a comet exploded and it ended up with way more power," she clarified after a moment of thought. Essentially, everything Seren 'knew' of this world of magic was information she had been told by the floating wisp. "It decided that it would send more help to everyone because it felt that perhaps it was needed," she rolled her shoulders in a loose shrug. "And then it asked if I would be one of those to help and gave me this..." She held up her lamp and pointed towards it with a wry smile.
"Are the Knights of Cosmos our superiors?" she added after a moment. "It sounds like they might be, you know, being powered by the uh...universe."
Evidently she hadn't been clued in to the fact they simply protected the Cauldron, a rather vital role, but they didn't claim dominion of the entire universe.

Bifrost blinked. A comet exploded? Huh, maybe that explained the pull to her wonder in November... She squirreled that way for now; maybe she'd ask the Code later. For now, she needed to correct a bit of Seren, and do her best to help this page get her foothold in the war. Or at least at being a knight.
"No, not really? They're just sort of Sailor Cosmos' attendenants? They help her protect the Cauldron. We're all on a level playing field! That does mean we sort of... bicker between ourselves a lot, but that just sort of comes with the territory," she said with a wince and then a shrug.
"Your lantern staff is lovely though! I started out with these silly turkish wedding rings as page, and let me tell you, youma do not care when you throw little pieces of metal at them. Youma, being the monsters of Chaos that the Negaverse likes to use. They also just like to attack people at random from the shadows. They're tough but beatable!" she said cheerfully, butt wiggling in her excitement. And the force of not just straight info dumping on her.

All right, so she knew what a starseed was as she'd been advised of that when she'd first met The Code. She also knew that they were an individual's soul, their very essence. What the floating wisp had not explained to her however, was the existence of the Cauldron and it's so called attendants. Was it like a holy grail or something, were they supposed to protect an odd pot from their enemies and if they failed...what would happen.
"Why do we need to protect a pot?" she asked after a moment. "Or rather, why do they need to protect a big pot," she clarified and shook her head. "I don't meant to be entirely unreasonable but protecting the souls of others seems a little more important than a pot," she continued and pursed her lips. Objectively speaking, unless this thing was some sort of super weapon or held an elixir of immortality, she wasn't sure what the point was.
...And even then she might permit someone to be immortal provided all souls were saved.
She paused for a moment to ruminate before squinting at Bifrost's description of one of the foes she was fairly certain she had encountered.
"Oh... That must be the creature I hit with a Semi then," she concluded and pursed her lips. "I didn't want to break my lantern, it seems important, I think I might get in trouble with the wisp if I damage it," she admitted.

...To be fair, that was a very valid question, and if you didn't know the Cauldron referred to the Galaxy Cauldron, aka the place where the souls were going to be reborn. Bifrost chuckled a little and scratched at her cheek.
"Oh, that's my bad! I mean the Galaxy Cauldron, which is where all starseeds go to be reborn! Cosmos and her knights help protect that. I don't... actually know if its a physical pot or bowl actually..." she said, suddenly curious about what the Cauldron actually was. Maybe next time she saw Cosmos, if the woman wasn't exhausted... or a recording, she could ask.
Bifrost blinked at Seren. "You... hit a youma with a semi truck?" she asked, confused, and yet amazed at the same time. That was an incredible amount of talent... especially given she didn't want to hurt her lantern... or a wisp? Okay now she was just confused and less amazed. "Your lantern will self repair when you resummon it and... a wisp? Is there a wisp in your lantern?"

Hm, then perhaps the 'cauldron' was metaphorical and something else existed in the great beyond. If Serenitatis was to be entirely honest, she would have pointed out that a cauldron was a little overly simple and most individuals were at least capable of understanding the basic concepts of veils and the afterlife (in some capacity).
...A pot of melting souls though, not so much.
"Conveniently, yes," she added in regards to Bifrost's question though, opted for a half hearted shrug. She hadn't intended to hit it, she was running for her life, the fact the semi had been there and collided with it rather than her was a rather large blessing indeed. Nevertheless, at least she had a name for what the creatures were now, disturbing as their contorted and warped features were.
"And no..." she lifted up her lantern and gave it a light wiggle. While there was light in it, the source of that light wasn't immediately clear, nevertheless it wasn't a 'wisp' in a general sense. "The Wisp is um..." she pursed her lips thoughtfully.
"It called itself The Code," she clarified. "It was floating over a tablet...book...thing on a pedestal," she added. "It spoke to me and turned me in to this," she finished with a final motion to herself. a-disgruntled-dragon *Thumbs up from under a ton of bricks* We're good, RL has its moments. x_X
