Nin 1
Nin was bustling around the kitchen tidying up after breakfast. She was always stunned how much food her kids ate. Ushi and Thal could destroy a regular dinner for four by themselves.
She whistled while she worked until there was a resounding crash.
"Kiy?" She yelled. "Are you okay?" Then she looked out the window and realized it couldn't be him as he was running toward the house full tilt probably coming to check that she was okay. He was so fast.

He was out in the barn when he heard a resounding crash from the house. He was moving before the thought even occured to him. He pelted around a corner heading for the door and almost crashed into the Xaraan they had tamed together.
“What are you trying to do.”
“Nin! Why does your pet want in the house so bad?” He squeezed past the beast to check on her.

“I assure you my husband I do not know. He has never done anything like this before. She strode over to her beast. They had formed a very strong bond together in the time since their desert visit.
“Hey Rex, whats up buddy? I dont have anything in here for you.”
The Xaraan crooned at her so she stepped closer.

He watched as the friendly beast nosed his wife’s belly and crooned again. Kiyelts eyes narrowed. “Er Nin, do you think he might be picking up on something? Have you been naseous at all?”
There was definitly something going on as the Xaraan was letting out a purr.

“Now that you mention it.. gods I think I might be pregnant again. I usually love ginger but right now the moment I smell he juice from it i feel like ai want to vomit. That happened when I was pregnant with Thallassa. Gods, Kiyelt we are going to have another one. Whos the smartest boy yes you are Rex thank you for letting me know.”
She stroked the huge head and the beast settled now that he had informed the clueless ones. He had helped his mate with the nests. He was sure he would never see her again but perhaps he could find another mate.

Kiyelt scooped her up and twirled her around before burying his face in her neck.
“Im so happy Nin. Another gift of the desert rains. And what a good boy you are Rex, letting us know that something was up with your trainer. You are going to get the biggest weasel for dinner lucky you.”
He was over the moon. “I cant wait to tell the kids.”

She wrapped her arms around his neck and leaned her head back. “We wont be abandoned and alone quite yet! Huzzah!”
She would have to make a visit to the healer to double check but a lot of the signs were there. She was sure the nausea would start anyday now.
“I cant wait to see the cute chubby little cheeks.”

“Hmm I think we will have enough room. I doubt the boys will stay in the house too much longer, we could always build the kids another house if they are too cramped in here. I feel like Thallassa would enjoy that greatly.”
Thal liked quiet time and did not always get it. There wasnt a minute going by that he did not think about his children.

“I am sure they will sort it out. Besides it would take 9 months and who knew what would happen in that time. She would practice until it became hard or dangerous then she would go on mat leave.
“At least it is not our first rodeo.” They would mold back into the familiar pattern. “It better not be triplets again.”

He couldnt wait for the whole process. He loved watching Nin get round and glowy. Loved spoiling her rotten while she worked on creating a new life. Loved the feel of a newborn in his arms. The labor never got easier for him. He was always there usually sitting behind her for support and he couldnt imagine the pain. She handled it way better than he did.

They went about their morning with a spring in their step and a song in their hearts. She tended Rex and took him for a long ride. He was progressing fast in his training.
Upon her return she asked Kiyelt if he could get one of their sons or both to go and find a suitable mate for him. Obviously he knows his way around a nest and Im sure he had a lovely wife out in the desert who would now need to find herself a new mate.
“He shouldn’t be lonely because of me.”

“I shall do that but I dont think he will ever be lonely with you around you dote on him. “ He teased. He had certain favorites Sky and his sailscales for example.
“Hey boy, are you spoiled?” He patted his neck and Rex curled it proudly. “Its a pity Rajiri was never that into boys.”
“What gender do you think the baby will be?”

She scrunched up her face. “ Hard to tell as previously I’ve had both in there so I dont think Id be able to pinpoint which gender it is.” She smiled brightly and squealed a little.
“This is just the best I was worried we would be bored woth an empty nest in a few years.”
She didnt relish the quiet and wondering where they all were and what they were doing. A new baby would keep them all busy.

He too was over the moon. He had gotten the huge family he had always wanted . There would always be someone to bug. His children would roll their eyes but it was the fact of once a parent always a parent. It never went away.
He hummed happily.

She held his face with both of her hands and kissed him. “I love you so much, you are my best friend and my shining light, my comedian.”
She would be lost without him. “Without you I wouldn’t have the best family ever.” She pulled him out into the garden where the bright Matorian sun warmed them.
