Daisicle When Rho agreed to help Tirzah tidy up on their next shared day off, he hadn't expected it to be quite so... how should he put it... labor-intensive. It was a moment where he realized simultaneously that they they did always just hang out at his place, while also wondering how in Laisidhiel did she get so much stuff in the almost year she'd been here. Luckily, there was nothing growing that shouldn't be, but still... It was pretty bad. Thank goodness Mena'd offered to help when he got off his shift.
Rho was balancing three mugs of air-chilled water as he brought them to the now-clean table in celebration of it being now-clean. Menelie If Tirzah had seemed like there was something on her mind lately, it's because there was. She brought a plate with nuts and dried fruit to the table for them to snack on and sat down. "Thanks for helping me clean, gentlemen," she said. "Hadn't realized it had gotten that bad, I'm so absent-minded about putting things away." In a playful, breathy tone, she added, "Sure hope there's something I can do to repay you."Mena had thought that girls were all naturally tidy but apparently he was wrong about that. Luckily her alcove was small. He chuckled at her cheeky joke. All this made him wonder, though, what point there was to her having her own place at this point. She spent so much time at Rho's, wouldn't it make more sense for them to move into a larger alcove together? Daisicle Rho passed out the waters and nodded emphatically with Tirzah's assessment as he did so. "I'll say - my place never got near this bad even before Mena started stress-cleaning it." He reached over for a handful of nuts and smirked at her little innuendo. "Hey now, why don't we enjoy this place a bit more before we go and dirty it up again." He popped one in his mouth. "I'm game tho, just later. My fingers are still all wrinkly from the soap water" Menelie Tirzah giggled and nibbled on a dried apricot. It was lovely to have these summer fruits preserved to eat in the winter months. Her facial expression mellowed from playful to pensive.Mena frowned. She looked...unhappy? "Hey, what's on your mind. You know he's only teasing." Tirzah smiled and shook her head. "Oh, no, I was just thinking."/color]
Mena made a sort of expectant "go on" kind of gesture, then took a sip from his water. Ahh, refreshing.
Tirzah finished her apricot and reached for another. "You ever think about having kids?" She asked, making eye contact with both of them.
Mena choked on his water and flushed red. Daisicle Rho joined Mena's curiosity about why she seemed a bit upset, but wasn't sure what to make of the comment that followed. He finished his sip of water and, without missing a beat, nodded once. "Yeah, I think I'd like a few someday." Little did he know he already had one. He smirked at Mena, "Guess you haven't thought about it."
"What's got ya worried about kids though - not like there's any rush either way."

Menelie "No?" Responded Tirzah, amused but choosing to ignore Mena's reaction. "VDay is only a few weeks away. We'd need to start planning otherwise we'll have to wait another year."Mena, still recovering, squeaked out a "nope" and coughed a little. Of course he'd thought about children, he had just figured he would adopt an acorn when the time came. But the question coming from Tirzah had a whole other set of implications. Daisicle Rho tilted his head and furrowed his brows at Tirzah's statement as he scooted over to rub Mena's back and hopefully calm down the coughing a bit. "Like, did you want to go to Venus' this year? I mean, I guess we can, but we'd need to figure out a new excuse to get outta the Tree that long." He didn't really get what that had to do with having children though Menelie Mena shook his head. "Nuh-uh. Hard pass. D'you KNOW how long I got stuck on dish duty after last year?" Waste of his damn skills."Well, yeah," said Tirzah, as if this should be obvious. "How else would we do it?" Daisicle "Do what?" There seemed to be a disconnect happening somewhere in the conversation. Menelie "Have kids," answered Tirzah succinctly. Daisicle Rho let the silence hang for a moment, as if waiting for some clarification that never came. "You'd get a special wine for that from one of the fairies, right?" He looked over at Mena to confirm, "That's how it works, right? Drink some wine, have some fun, then bam comes a couple kids." Menelie Tirzah made a perplexed expression. "That's not my understanding. You go to the Venus Day celebration, maybe you come home with a baby. That's how it happened with my grandfathers and with my mother."Mena shook his head. "Don't look at me, I came from an acorn and I'm gay, I have no idea how this works." Daisicle Rho crossed his arms, not used to playing the straight man despite being the straight man of the trio. "No no no, think about it. Faun aren't really supposed to go there, right? So how do they keep getting pregnant? Like, my parents and grandparents," as far as he'd ever known, "have never even been to Venus Day."

Menelie "You're saying there's another way?" Asked Tirzah. "Because truthfully I'd rather not bother with Venus Day if we don't have to. There's got to be something extra to do otherwise we'd have had them long ago." Daisicle "Could you imagine, haha? With our luck, Mena'd have been the dad too." He smirked at said faun.
"But yeah, I swear there's like some sort of drink for it that the Avalon fairies are in charge of. I could ask around, but..." He trailed off, implying it might start up some rumors. "...yeah, it could take a hella while if I try and do it on the DL." Menelie Menahem, who had been sitting this one out, blushed suddenly. "Yeah, no," he said dryly."Hm. Seems like a project for another day." She was curious, though, about Mena's response. "Mena? Do you not want children?" She asked gently. "Oh, oh no, I definitely want children, I just never thought about doing it, er, naturally," responded Mena. Daisicle Rho took that blush as his cue to start doing a little trolling. "I mean, you do got that option now, and I bet they'd be real cute between the two of you. Hell, you could even be the mom if you figured out how to get that crazy Venus magic working." Now that'd be something alright. However, that also bring up a much bigger logistical question though. "Wait, would I have to pretend to be their dad then, since the story is that Tirzah and I are the ones dating?" Menelie Tirzah blinked, surprised. "You wouldn't have to pretend. You would be their father. Both of you." She looked back and forth between them. "We're a family, right? I didn't think that would change once children come into the picture." Menahem blushed beet red and put his face in his hands. "Shut up Rho," he said, his voice muffled by his hands.. Daisicle No, now Rho was on a thought and not getting off no matter how hard Mena cringed. "But like, if we tell them that we're both their dads, the dipshits would tell everyone else that too, right? And then everyone else would know that we're a three and not a two." Slight pause. "Wait, s**t, that def means Mena can't do the mom bit cause then the tree would find out when he went to work as clearly not a dude." Menelie "It's fine, it's cool, you two can have kids, I'll be Uncle Menahem who's around all the time, it's fine." Mena leaned his elbows on the table, still covering his eyes.Tirzah looked serious and contemplative. "Well....we'll need to find a solution before we make a decision, then." She wasn't satisfied with Mena's idea. "I don't want you to be sidelined, hon," she said, touching his forearm gently. "I guess we will need to decide whether it's more important to do this the way we want to, or to keep our reputations intact. Or if there's a way to do both. We'll need to be creative." Daisicle "But are you fine bro?" Rho leaned a bit closer to the Mena he was clearly teasing a bit too much, then put a hand on each of their foreheads. "I dunno, you feel a bit warm. Maybe you worked too hard today."
He looked over at Tirzah with hands still on foreheads. "Wouldn't the Uncle Mena idea make the most sense with the story we're going with though? He and I look pretty similar too, so it'd be easy enough to play his off as mine."
"Or if he wants to be a mom we could just time it with you, and then idfk we could go chill in breeheart until he's male again?" He was continuing to add this bit to needle a little.

Menelie Tirzah crossed her arms. She was digging her hooves in on this one. "Nuh-uh. Anyone who's helping raise my children is their parent. Full stop." Mena waved Rho's hand off. "Knock that off, I'm fine," he said, annoyed. If he were sick, they'd know, because he was barely functional. "And listen, if I'm carrying anyone's children they're gonna be yours, alright?" Then a blush and he ducked his head behind his hands again.Rho's idea gave Tirzah pause, though. "Going to Breeheart isn't a bad idea," she said. It seemed like it would solve one problem but not the problem of parenting. "Still doesn't resolve how we would raise all of them. I guess if we timed it right we could say that we partook of some odd substances and we aren't sure which one of you is the real father so we're just going with both?" She glanced at Rho. "Dyou think that would fly in your family?" "I must've been real drunk," quipped Mena from behind his hands. Daisicle Rho pulled back before smirking HARD as Mena done goofed with his words. Now he'd said it, and that had obviously been the implication. His job on that front was now done.
He wiped that smirk off his face to look over at Tirzah and then fell into thought as he considered it. I guess they were continuing on this idea of Mena being the mom too? Or were they? "I'mma be real, it depends. If we're going with the whole 'making Mena a woman' idea, it might get -me- some looks from the fam, but y'all would probably be fine. If we're saying you just don't know the dad and it could be either of us, that'd be a bit worse. Actual worst case, we could just say it was caused by some daemon mischief and they'd prolly eat it up, even if they didn't -realy- believe it." Menelie "Can we please talk about something else?" Mena pleaded pitifully, resting his forehead on the table. It turned out that where talking about emotions apparently made Rho go all pear-shaped, talking about starting a family did the same for Mena.Tirzah did not fully understand the Tree's weirdness about daemon magic but shrugged. "Daemon magic it is. Still doesn't solve the problem of how to get this one a different set of plumbing, though," she added, reaching across the table and ruffling Mena's hair affectionately. Daisicle Nope, it seemed they couldn't switch subjects quite yet, though some part was that it was a little satisfying seeing Mena be the embarrassed one for once.
"Can't Venus or someone handle that? I know each of us," he motioned between himself and Mena, "Have been female at the parties. I bet it can happen outside of the party too, we'd just have to figure out how." Menelie "Hmm," mused Tirzah. "Maybe we do need to go to Venus Day after all. Or is there some way to contact her outside of her celebration?" She tapped her chin thoughtfully. Mena kept his head down on the table. Whatever they came up with would ultimately be fine with him but talking about it just made him squirm."Don't be so gloomy, Mena," teased Tirzah. "This is all just planning, we don't do anything until you're--we're all ready." Daisicle "There has to be, right? Don't they call themselves 'deity?'" He made air quotes at that. "You could probably, idfk, call out into the void for one of them and offer wine or some s**t and they'd appear. Maybe." He shrugged. "Well, we'd need to find that special wine for you first anyways, and then get this guy," he reached over and patted Mena on the shoulder. "Ready for it, if he wants to. Otherwise I guess we could just wait and I could tell my family we met him 'borrow you' so he could have some related kids of his own." He smirked as he figured that would be even less ideal for him. Menelie "You sure we can't just adopt some acorns? Be way easier..." squeaked Mena."Hm, well, you work on the wine, Rho. Maybe your parents know something. Me and Mena will see about contacting Venus," said Tirzah, ignoring Mena's whining. Daisicle Rho nodded at Tirzah's plan before poking Mena, "I mean, if you -actually- wanna become Uncle Mena, go for it. Or no reason we can't do that first if you find one you like - call it a practice round. We arent going to -make- you either way."
"But yeah, sounds like a plan to me," he gave a thumbs up in confirmation. Menelie Mena sighed and sat up, running a hand through his hair. "I'm okay," he said, shifting in his chair as if trying to get comfortable in his skin. The idea of him, or anyone, growing a baby inside their body honestly terrified him. It was a lot of responsibility. But that was a conversation for another day. "I need a drink," he muttered.Tirzah stood. "Great idea. Let's head to the pub, yeah? We've had a busy day, we deserve a brew or two."
