Arsenolite was incredibly bored. Monoceros had been even quieter than normal, which was quite the feat, considering how quiet he generally was. Ugh. Whatever, he didn't need that guy, anyway. But the fact remained that he was extremely, totally, completely, agonizingly bored, and he didn't know what to do, because nothing sounded good. He supposed he could go screw with some of the new recruits, or something, and the thought cheered him up just enough to get him moving, so he went out into Negaspace and started sauntering around, looking for someone to ******** with. Then he spotted him. Alkmene. Dressed in black instead of white. Well. Wasn't that interesting. "So," he called out, catching up to him, "You decided to corrupt after all."

Alkmene wasn't sure he'd gotten the name of the officer whose hand had been in his chest, but he was never going to forget his voice--and he recognize it, then, when it called out to him. He turned, and--yes, there was the face that had been inches from his.
His heart picked up pace, a bit, but he put on a charming grin and ignored it. He was safe, now--there was no way this man, a Captain now, would shove his hand in there and try to murder an ally. That would just be stupid.
"I did! I told you I was thinking about it, and I'd never lie to someone trying to kill me."

Arsenolite raised his brows. "Come on, now, I'm not that dumb," he said, laughing, "Everyone would lie their a** off if it ensures they live." He grinned, though, looking Alkmene up and down. "I didn't get your name, last time we met. Captain Arsenolite, at your service," he said with a flourishing bow.

Alkmene shrugged. "Maybe so, but it does happen that I was telling the truth. Circumstances intervened and it wasn't totally on my own terms, but I did corrupt by choice." Not that Arsenolite needed all the messy details. He probably should have kept that part to himself, truth be told, but ah well, it was already out of his mouth.
"I'm Alkmene." He sauntered over to Arsenolite, and gave a saucy little curtsy, with a playful smile. "It's nice to meet you, without all the nastiness between us."

Arsenolite nodded, eyes very definitely watching the curtsy and the way Alkmene's skirt moved. God, he was beautiful... Especially dolled up in black. His original idea of corrupting Alkmene and keeping him for his own self came back to his mind and he hummed, smirking and tilting his chin up a little. "Ditto," he said. "How long have you been here? And not come to see me? You're very pretty, by the way."

"Aww, thanks, I know I look way better like this." Alkmene laughed. "It's been...a couple months? I corrupted not too long before that big battle on the hill, so it's been kind of a lot of adjusting."
And, admittedly, his priority hadn't been finding someone that had threatened him. But things were different now, and he couldn't help but appreciate that Arsenolite was....hm. Very handsome.
"So tell me, do you flirt with everyone like this?"

"Oh, yeah, some battle, huh? Probably a good thing I didn't see you there; I might've gotten a little distracted from the mission," he replied, cocking a hip out and placing a hand on it. He grinned at the question, though, and shrugged. "Oh, just the ones I really, really like. I think you're the third person involved in this war I've actually been acutely interested in. At least, on this side. Sadly, most people aren't interested in a cross-war tete-a-tete. But hey, you're here now, so..." He winked.

'Some battle.' A dark cloud briefly crossed Alkmene's expression; it certainly had been some battle, and Faustite had nearly died, right there on that field, if it hadn't been for luck, Taenite, and the intervention of a Senshi from the other side. A Senshi whose name Alkmene didn't know, but who he felt he owed a pretty hefty debt of gratitude.
That battle had sucked. Alkmene hated to think of how close he'd come to losing someone he genuinely liked and admired, when he tried not to like people who weren't family, as a rule. Most of the time they ended up not being worth his loyalty, but Faustite was. Would have sucked to have that blown apart.
But he didn't let the darkened expression linger. Instead, he brushed it away with a smile. "Unfortunately, not the place to get distracted, with all the General-Sovereigns on the field and such. So better we didn't run into each other, yeah."
And anyway, Arsenolite was proposing something much more fun and interesting, and a thorough distraction from thoughts of the near-disaster the Negaverse insisted on playing off as a victory (and it was, probably, in the grand scheme of things.)
"I think most of the time, cross-faction tete-a-tete is technically treason?" He shrugged his shoulders. Not a huge concern, he suppose,d unless Arsenolite was going to get a lot more specific. "But it's true, I am here. And I am free tonight, if you are...?"

Arsenolite noticed the flicker of a mood change, and wondered what Alkmene had seen on that hill. He knew, vaguely, that a lot of bad s**t had happened, that there had been deaths (one for a traitor, and two of the Vanguard Cadets, so he wasn't especially concerned about them—the Cadets were a bit disappointing, but alas). But any of the smaller conflicts, personal ones, things that heightened emotions and made things even more terrible? He had no clue about. He'd had, overall, a pretty damn good time fighting alongside his General and beating back against the Order, even if in the end they hadn't gotten as many people as they would've liked. Monoceros, for instance, hadn't been corrupted by the Chaos air, but at least he'd been gotten eventually, and honestly, he was the one who mattered most to Arsenolite. "Eh, not as long as you eventually bring them over," he said with a shrug, "Sakuriite, for instance? It wasn't the best way to bring her over, but we got her. And I'm very, very free."

Alkmene hummed, and stepped forward. "Well then, Captain, why don't we find somewhere private? I think we have plenty to talk about."
It was always nice to get to have a good time, Alkmene figured; might as well make the most of the opportunity.
