Since exchanging numbers with Kayden, Rose had been pretty infatuated with the other girl. There was often a flurry of texts from Rose when she was finished with working. It was memes, checking in on her, asking questions. What's your favorite color? What do you like better, cats or dogs? (Rose's favorite color was light blue, and she preferred cats, but dogs were SO CUTE.) Rose hadn't stopped taking that class either, so when Kayden showed up, it always made her day so much brighter. Dancing and flirting with her. Honestly the highlight of her weeks.

Unfortunately Rose had been busy before the holidays. A lot of her patients were more sick because winter just took it's toll on them. One of them even passed, she had gotten so ill. So, Rose hadn't had a chance to actually meet up with Kayden again.

At least, until tonight. They'd scheduled this at least a week ago. Rose made the reservations at this fancy place. It was supposed to be four stars and run by someone famous, but what Rose really liked was they served actual decent sized portions for the price she was paying.

Despite the cold weather, Rose was in a back dress with two pairs of leggings. One was a nice nude color with a fuzzy inside, and the other was black, sheer ones. Honestly it looked like she was just wearing the one pair. To top it all off she had on a cute pair of heels, and her hair was done in a braid that swung past her rear end and almost to her ankles. Girl had a lot of hair.

She was sitting at the table inside now, sipping out of a nice champagne glass, but it was only water. Rose wasn't much of a drinker, so she figured the wine with dinner would be enough.

Now she was just waiting. Trying not to check her phone every two seconds.

"I was just about to say how good you looked," Rose said, smiling wide and watching the beautiful woman in front of her. Rose leaned forward slowly, elbows on the table, threading her fingers together before resting her chin on them with a smile. "You're also not that late, so there's nothing to apologize for. I'd wait as long as it took, as long as you were coming.'

She flashed Kayden a little flirty smile and then leaned back again, pushing her bangs out of her face.

"How have you been? In-person is different than through text, so.. Truly, have you been okay?" Lilac-colored eyes took in Kayden's face, her hair, and trailed down. Lingering on the little gold accents and then back to her face. Kayden looked okay. Rose was still worried. There'd been unusual activity, and more unusual people coming to Destiny City.

Rose's disappointment grew when Kayden didn't answer fully. Maybe it was surface-level honest, but it wasn't what she'd asked. Ah, well. She wouldn't pry. Obviously, Kayden didn't want to talk about it. So, Rose put on her own smile and gave a small hum in response. "I like you," she added. "So... I will worry."

Then Kayden asked about wine and Rose looked over at the menu curiously.

"There is wine. I wasn't sure if you drank or not. I didn't... want to order and you be sober." Rose wasn't the greatest fan of wine. Red was tolerable, but it was all very dry to her. She liked the sweeter drinks. "Feel free to order whatever you want. I mean it. My treat." Hopefully that didn't come off as too eager. She was really worried about that. It'd been many years since Rose had been on a date.
