Prompt 9 (Illuminating Conversation): This time of year there are lights hanging everywhere. They come in different colors, different styles, different patterns of illumination. You might not remember when it started, but when you looked at a display, you noticed the lights seemed to be flashing in a specific pattern. When you look away, you might be able to see out of the corner of your eye that they return to normal--but any time you look at them, they repeat the same unique sequence. It’s not just one light, either; almost everywhere you go you can find some light repeating the pattern. Is something trying to send you a message? Could it be Morse Code, or something else? A coincidence? Either way, you can’t seem to decipher the message and it’s getting to you. Especially because no one else seems to notice it.

He was once again out ant about on a solo patrol, though at least this time he wasn't looking for anything or anyone specific. It was just if he did in fact find any clues to the missing Senshi he wouldn't hesitate to follow them but at this point Hania knew that would be his default until Guinevere was back safe and sound. Instead it was indeed just a normal patrol looking to see if there were any disturbances or Senshi in need of awakening, or if there was anything that was particularly odd happening that might indicate something about to happen.

He didn't have to look too hard for something odd though seeing how it was happening to him everywhere he went tonight. The lights haven't been taken down yet even though it was now the new year, or rather most of the lights haven't as he could remember a few houses having been decorated but aren't any more here and there, be he wasn't focusing on how high these people's electric bills would be or anything of the sort. Rather he was focusing on the fact that every time he looked at one of the displays directly they would start up a pattern.

If he looked away from them they would return to normal, something he could see in his peripherals, but as soon as he was directly looking at them it would start up again. The first time he had seen it happen, the Mauvian sat down on the bench he had been by and stared at the lights to try and figure out the pattern and if it had any meaning. It wasn't binary, it wasn't Morse, nor was it the handful of other codes that Hania was familiar enough with to be able to at least recognize it.

It didn't help that apparently no one else was seeing the code happen in the lights as passerby's didn't even bat an eye, didn't stop to investigate themselves, no reaction what so ever. After several long minutes trying to figure it out he attempted to record the message on his communicator but to his further upset it didn't work leaving him wondering if he was hallucinating the entire thing. In fact, hallucinating might be the answer given the evidence he had right now but the thought of it had his mood sinking even lower then what it had been before.

He had eventually started back up on his patrol and tried to ignore the lights the best he could for now. After all he had memorized it the best he could for the moment, it couldn't be recorded, and with no way to currently find out what it said nor if it was even real it just wasn't worth driving himself crazy over. It never went away however during his patrol so after a few hours of it, Hania took one last long look at the pattern to make sure he had indeed memorized it, then returned home. He could see if the internet had any way to figure out what it meant later on.
