Prompt 9 (Illuminating Conversation): This time of year there are lights hanging everywhere. They come in different colors, different styles, different patterns of illumination. You might not remember when it started, but when you looked at a display, you noticed the lights seemed to be flashing in a specific pattern. When you look away, you might be able to see out of the corner of your eye that they return to normal--but any time you look at them, they repeat the same unique sequence. It’s not just one light, either; almost everywhere you go you can find some light repeating the pattern. Is something trying to send you a message? Could it be Morse Code, or something else? A coincidence? Either way, you can’t seem to decipher the message and it’s getting to you. Especially because no one else seems to notice it.

It had been about two months since the strange mirror trap adventure. The memory of that unisual event had lingered in her mind once awhile. It had been pretty scary experience but there had been some silver linings as well. She had met some friends during the event. Or at least could be friends. People who got her interest and should there not have been such a crazy things happening around them she would had love to get known them better. These people (Asuka, Rana and Tsukuyomi) seemed to have all spheres that originated from japanese culture, her family's culture. She didn't know such thing was possible. Not only that, they had acted in somewhat protective way towards her. Almost like they would be a unit. But maybe that was just her imagination, her wishful thinking.

Either way, her family had made sure she was busy with other things, having little time to go out to do dark mirror things. She had a recital to do around holiday time which she needed to practice extra hard with her violin. It was hard at times because memories kept flooding into her mind and interupted her practice, making it hard to focus on her performance. She haven't thought this could happen. That she could actually miss someone, to want to get to know someone. Or multiple people even.

Finally, the day of recital was here. The concert she was in was held in the Harmony Concert Hall. It wasn't the biggest concert hall in the Destiny City but it was so far the biggest where she had performed. The hall was decorated with thousands of lights which illuminated the space. It was rather luxurious sight, something that was worth opening new comers mouths in gasp. The moment she arrived on this illustrious building the most intense stage wright creeped on her. She tried to control herself and not to fiddle her fingers on her red velvet dress too much. Everything needed to be perfect. Nothing could go wrong. Otherwise, there would be consequences.

Her performance was scheduled right before the intermission. As she listened the performance of talented musicians before her she noticed something flickering on one of the wall on her right side. It was not unusual for lights to flicker at times but this seemed oddly rhythmic? 'Surely, that is nothing. Nothing unusual is happening tonight, right?' Tiffany took a deep breath to ease her anxiety. She decided to keep an eye on those lights, just in case.

Finally, it was her time to go on the stage and do her part to make this concert memorable. Tiffany set her music stand and notes on their proper place. She positioned herself, ready to perform. Soon first notes of Ave Maria came out through her violin. While she was on the stage, thoughts of her newly-founded possible-friends came back. Were they here? If so, would they recognize her? It was unlikely but the thought of it was nice. To have them here, even secretly, hopefully enjoying the performance she was giving them. Such thought brought a small smile on her face.

There was one thing that was bothering her though. The strange, mysterious flickering of lights. It was back, more prominent now. It was strangely recurrent, almost like a rhythm of a song. It seemed oddly familiar too. Was that a song request? Whatever it was, it was bugging her. What song was that?

Ave Maria's last notes were in the air and applauses filled the air. Tiffany gathered her notes and mentally prepared herself to leave the stage when it suddenly hit her. The Nutcracker Song! Could it be that? Silently, she motioned to presenter to come over.

"Excuse me, can I perform another song?"

Hearing the rhythmic applause asking for encore the presenter agreed with her. Once the silence set in, she waited for the right moment, to match with the flicker. She started carefully, tapping strings with her finger at first and then sliding her bow. It seemed to match… well? Not perfect but good enough. She wasn't sure if there was some kind of mystic figure causing those mysterious flickers or was it just a lucky guess. Either way, it seemed to work well with the music. It made her happy.

What an encore that was.
