Prompt 2 (Paint the Night Sky): Destiny City has already had its fair share of snowfall but for the past week it’s just been constant. There hasn’t been a clear sky in days, and even when it’s not snowing it’s still too cloudy to see anything. Finally, one night, the clouds have finally thinned--only to reveal something more surprising than the suddenly good weather. A glorious display of colorful light dances over Destiny City. Auroras are uncommon in this area, but it’s something unique to see. Especially because it almost seems like the colors blend like watercolors, and look like they’re deliberately weaving around each other.
The night was a peculiar thing, but Faustite considered it fortuitous. Great blooms of color spread across the sky, tipped dark at the edges like the furl of a petal or the lip of a wave. They spread, furrowed, oscillated, and wove together to form an astonishing display of lurid colors, drawing the wandering eye upward to dine on the display. This, Faustite found, was troublesome — suddenly, rooftop transportation became more precarious.
He'd been to Nembus's apartment only once before, and not her apartment directly — he couldn't teleport, having forgotten most of the details, and instead made the trek on foot as Eion. Once he'd entered the building, a Negaverse-owned apartment complex, he was able to shed that skin for his native one, and ride the elevator with a sweaty newcomer laden with groceries. He hadn't bothered making eye contact while the older fellow tried to hail him with 'sir'.
Having stepped out into the hall, Nembus's apartment number was only a handful of steps in from where he'd entered. He waited until he found the unassuming white door before he pulled on the vast chaotic network beneath his fingertips, and waited for a number of subordinates to answer the call.
They would not be leaving until he had adequate answers.
