Prompt 3 (Drink Yourself Silly): Pop up shops are a dime a dozen in Destiny City this time of year, and for as much weirdness as they cause, there’s still something alluring about them. Walking through the city, you happen to come across one that seems particularly cozy and is decorated in such a way that you just know they’re trustworthy. The menu only has a few items but there’s something for everyone.

Maybe it’s hot chocolate, maybe it’s coffee, maybe it’s some chilly winter sweet--whatever it is, it’s delicious. And magic, but you didn’t know that when you ordered it. It started with an itch at the back of your throat, but what happened after that was anyone’s game. Some of the drinks turn into a tickle in your nose, and now you’re suddenly sneezing snowflakes for the next hour. Maybe you finish your drink and you suddenly feel warm--like you’re in the middle of summer. (Do you even need your coat? It’s so hot! --Or is that a fever?) Or, the itch turns into something else--and suddenly you feel the urge to sing. It’s compulsive, you can’t help yourself, you must sing. It’s like you’ve forgotten how to communicate in any other way. It fades an hour after you finish the drink, but still...

The air was way too cold, between the chill of the snow all around the city and the icy stab of the wind that blew through the buildings, Dante was honestly starting to reevaluate just why he was out an about right at that moment even as bundled up as he was. The green haired teen shivered and snuggled down into the scarf so only his eyes were showing and he grumbled a bit to himself. It was cold but he needed to get some groceries, at least enough to tide him over for the weekend since he would get paid on Monday.

Still having to walk through the snow and ice was not fun, give him a hot summer day any day and he would be happy but noooo it had to be winter. In his grumbling he almost missed the new shop that he was coming up to on his way to the store and even then he might have just idly looked then ignored it as he walked past if it wasn't for one thing. There in the window was a picture of an absolutely massive mug of hot cocoa. The moment his eyes locked on to the picture his feet deviated from the path he was on and made a beeline for the door.

He entered the shop and the temperature difference was felt immediately to his relief, while he briefly scanned the shop to see that it was a small cafe with tables and chairs in the front and a counter with drink machines and counters that held sweets in the back. It wasn't too busy right now but there were a few customers sitting close to the front window enjoying the snow that lay outside, something he fully intended to avoid thank you very much.

Going up to the counter he ordered their largest hot cocoa and then took a set at a table close to the counter once it was in hand and paid for. Dante didn't even wait for it to cool down a little bit before he took a sip. It was hot of course and lightly scalded his mouth and throat but at the moment he didn't care as it was both delicious and already warming him up on the first sip. He did however wait a bit longer for it to get less molten before he started to drink in earnest.

About halfway through his drink, Dante noticed the itch in the back of his throat and paused to attempt to clear it. It did go away after a moment so he wasn't bothered, figuring that maybe the first sip he had taken had irritated it more then he thought, then returned to making his way through the hot cocoa. At a quarter left he noticed how warm he felt and a feeling of giddiness that was bubbling up. While the giddiness was weird, the warmth he figured was the drink doing it's job so wasn't too worried about it.

It was only when he was finished completely that the giddiness turned into a giggle fit. At this point he was still not weirded out by it but now it was due to the drinks magic working on him. Putting the mug into the drop off area he left the cafe and headed out into the cold he no longer felt while giggling.
