Prompt 2 (Paint the Night Sky)
Thierry had been 'awake' for the better part of a year, but mostly used that time living in the forest, then in his new humans house enjoying all the peace and quiet such a thing offered, at least until Glen shooed him outside so he could prepare to film a new episode of his net cooking show, an activity he'd prefer Thierry stay out of sight of after the one time neither of them will ever discuss. But in that time, the mauvian had never seen a storm quite like this one. It had him trapped outside of the house, forced to hide under cars, then in boxed, and more recently, a knights house, which actually proved to be very interesting for the cat. And now finally, Thierry could go home, leaving the girls house rather late one night when he noticed it had finally cleared up outside. Both he and the girl had been disappointed, but had agreed to meet up again, to talk and learn from each other, and something about a skeleton collection Thierry frankly had to blank from his mind. So Thierry booked it, knowing Glen was likely worried about him but wouldn't express it, acting more cat like than even the cat himself could about it, though, Thierry did hope maybe this time that might be different, he'd really like a cuddle. As he walked the alleys and crosswalks, the cat chanced a glance up at the sky every few minutes, to ensure the terrible weather wouldn't start up again, and was relieved to see that the sky seemed thinner, less clouds than the heavy ones before, and in fact even these clouds that seemed paper thin seemed to be clearing. Using some cafe tables, a drain pipe and a windowsill, Thierry hopped up on the roofs to get a closer look, that and he just enjoyed it, going home this way always felt faster. As he hopped from roof to roof, getting ever closer to home, the sky seemed to shimmer, settling on a nice glow that really caught the mauvians attention. He stopped, looking up at the sky to see a beautiful curtain of light dance across the sky. He was enraptured, watching the lights dance and weave, it reminded him of a cartoon he'd seen once on a childs television cartoon sometime before his meeting Glen, when he still lived on the streets and in the woods. Back then, as he became first aware of more than just simple catdom, he thought it pretty, but now, seeing something similar, but entirely different, he stood corrected. This was incredible, beautiful, and he really never wanted it to end, but he knew that it had to, he could sort of feel Glen after all, maybe five houses down? He watched a bit longer, as the colors weaved through one another, tangled in a way that was probably not normal, but what did he know, and finally hopped back to attention, as he leaped and jumped to what he knew was his dear humans home, the light show in the sky still clear in his mind as he happily jumped on Glen, who didn't seem to mind at all and just hugged him in return.
