The fresh fallen snow seems undisturbed and brings a sense of peace. Only, nothing is ever as good as it seems, and there’s something eerie about it. After a while, it feels like someone--or something--is watching you. In the shadows of the trees, a set of milky eyes watches. Whatever it is, it’s tall and bulky. If you walk quickly, you feel it follow you but once you leave the line of trees, it disappears. If you try to approach it, a great beast will screech at you: a six foot tall snowy white owl takes flight. It may tackle or claw at you, depending on how you approach it, but it will always take flight and disappear in the night. If you choose to attack it, for the next few nights any time you look out your window you will see glowing eyes in the distance--or worse, hear it scratching to get in. Eventually, the temperature rises and the visits stop. For now. It had been some time since Jacques had powered up and gone outside as Versailles. He had been admonished by the General that he was assigned to when he finally did, but he couldn't help it! He was starting to question things and really hadn't felt up to powering up. Especially since his hair seemed so dead-set on giving him trouble. Like tonight. Again it refused to leave the front of his face. And his mouth sometimes. Really, what was the advantage to having longer hair as a Corrupt Senshi? He had been walking along the park wandering around and looking to see if there had been anyone that he could have drained. Unfortunately it appeared that it had been a bad night to do so as everyone else had the common sense to stay inside! He sighed. What was he supposed to do now?! It was then he felt like something was watching him. Not a Youma or Senshi... but there were definitely eyes that were following him. Where though?

Dej sensed something so she headed for the woods and she watched as a corrupt moved along their long hair streaming behind them. She didn't see the creature that was following them as she followed them to see if they were planning to drain anyone this evening. She watched the way the moonlight sparkled on the snow. She was a bit curious about what they were doing there didn't seem to be anyone out here that this figure could use for energy so what were they doing out here anyway? She wondered if they were lost or something. It was always possible that they needed help.

They came closer and Versailles decided to look around. He didn't see much until... Ah! There she was. He waved to her. He still didn't see anything else out of the ordinary, even if he felt it. He couldn't help but let out a shiver. "If you're wondering what I'm doing out here, it isn't to drain anyone. I don't much like doing that and I usually avoid doing so at all costs." Most of it was due to him just not wanting to and laziness, but he was starting to question their dear Metallia as well. "What I have felt however is that we aren't alone out here. Don't you feel like there's something else out here as well? I don't believe that it's anything powered or a Youma, but there's definitely... something." Might as well get straight to the point right?

Dej's face softened further since she didn't tend to see the bad side of people anyway, she was soft-hearted. "Well then maybe you should find a royal and get out of the chaos side?" She offered softly. Dej turned her attention to look around to see what they meant and saw eyes in the forest. "It's likely just an animal, normally if you don't bother them, they won't bother you." She thought a moment. "At least I suppose unless something isn't wrong with them or something.." She pondered "I'm Dejanira by the way." She offered as a way of being polite.

He gave her a small smile, ignoring the small strands of hair currently attempting to find their way into his mouth. "If you know any I would love to be acquainted with them. I've only heard of two myself within the database that we have. Or at least ones that have been seen recently." He wasn't attempting to probe for information to give to the Negaverse, but he did wonder how easy it was to find an Order Royal. "Versailles." He replied with a nod. For a moment he thought he heard some fluttering. "I hope you're right, I certainly don't want to be attacked by some giant monster. Again." He had had enough of those with the fog monster and the wispy one. Really, shouldn't they have had giant robots or something to fight those at this point?

Dej shook her head "I'm afraid I haven't as you've said they are pretty rare, I think one was on the battlefield recently but I didn't get to meet them myself I was rather busy fighting." She said with a sigh she had been knocked out pretty quickly after she had attacked the generator and then was ganged up on by a few negaverse soldiers. "I'm sure we can find you a royal if that is what you want to do." After Versailles made the comment about not wanting to be attacked by a monster again was when the owl decided to take that moment to swoop down at them with its claws out. Dej ducked not wanting to attack the creature but it was acting pretty strangely. She frowned. "What is wrong with that owl?" She muttered.

He let out a sigh. "Well, seems I missed them then, how unfortunate." Though if it was in the middle of a battle, it was unlikely he would have gotten anywhere with them anyway. He would have most likely been seen as well so he would have just been a target if he had attempted to turn there. He was about to respond to her offer when the owl swooped down at them. He was not as ready as she was and managed snap his fingers and shout his attack "Share the Splendor!" With that a beam of light shown down on the owl and it appeared to be confused, but at least it didn't seem to be attacking them. How his magic affected some sort of... radioactive creature? How else would owls get that big? He frowned at the creature. "It's much too large for an owl as well. It doesn't feel like a Youma." He hoped it would go away after his magic had passed however. He didn't want to attacking some innocent hulk-owl.

Dej nodded sadly she wasn't sure if this figure really wanted to purify she was a gentle-hearted soul and could always end up being fooled and she didn't want to take random negaverse members to royals even if she personally knew any which she didn't. She looked on in dismay as the figure blasted the poor owl with light. Which didn't go over well with a nocturnal creature. Dej shook her head sadly. She was at a loss for words at how cruel she thought that reaction was. She just had no words and she just kinda stood there she would have preferred dodging and retreating rather than blinding the owl with light. She wondered if the poor creature would recover. She didn't sense anything from the creature either so they must have just been a large owl. She sighed out as she watched the owl nearly miss hitting a tree and then right itself and fly away.

The owl was now gone and at least he hadn't been attacked. However looking at the other Senshi it appeared that she had wished he had not used his power on it. Well, one couldn't please everyone. And what if it did try to attack them? Wouldn't she have had to use her powers as well? He decided not to ask about it. "It seems it's gone now. Though I am curious as to where it came from. Not curious enough to go to where it was though. And seeing as how we've had that bit of adventure tonight, I will take my leave." He nodded to her. "Maybe we'll meet again under better circumstances." He said, still without revealing his name and teleported away. Deciding that he would call it a night and if they complained he would blame it on the owl. MiddyGlow apologies if that was abrupt! Can continue if you want!

Dej sighed once they were gone and she left as well, she wasn't sure if they would meet again or if she wanted to it was hard to say, she looked for the good in everyone but sometimes it was hard to see when she saw someone attacking what she thought was a normal animal or perhaps an enchanted animal. She went back to her home powered down for the night and went to bake some cookies to calm down. (Fin)
