The reindeer have been spotted eating everything, running in front of cars, chasing people down. It’s strange, almost as if they are possessed. They’re aggressive and hostile and not having any of this holiday nonsense. Are all reindeer like this? …Or have you run into a very aggressive youma masquerading as one?
Note: If you use this for a powered battle prompt, it does not count for the ‘one youma battle per growth’ ; this is a special prompt where the creature will attack anyone. It can only be used as a battle if there are two powered characters involved; you cannot write a solo and count this as a battle, and your character must be powered to count this for a battle. The reindeer will not respond to any commands and cannot be destroyed; it will always run away before it can be defeated.
Cleeia had chosen what he was pretty sure was the smartest option, which was to run, as fast and as far as he could, and hope that the beastie got bored and stopped chasing him, but that hadn't really worked so far. Maybe it was the same monster, and it was pissed about him escaping last time. Maybe he was just an unlucky idiot. Maybe it was simply not his season.
Whatever the reason, Cleeia ducked around an alley corner and pressed against a wall, taking a moment to catch his breath. He could hear hoofbeats approaching, but he didn't have the stamina to run, and the buildings were too high to attempt to jump.
He wasn't sure what to do. His magic wasn't going to work on a reindeer, and even if it did, it might just inspire the thing to kill him faster.
He just....really, really had to hope that someone showed up to help him, he guessed.

If she was being honest with herself it had been those phantom carollers that had finally persuaded Delaney to power up once more into her powered self. There was still the odd sense of unease that she would suddenly be befallen by some strange calamity but for the first time in a while Meissa was at least trying to patrol. Her senses were tuned into the various auras that sprang up all over in various places but she was trying to at least not bring any confrontation to her area. She was passively patrolling if that was such a thing.
There was nothing really to indicate that all down on street level was not okay but the sense of a chaos aura that seemed to be moving faster than normal caught Meissa's attention. What was this then? Was this chaos-aligned individual running from someone else? Pushing her senses out a little further drew a confused noise from her throat. No other order aura was around so what was going on? Was it time to get a closer viewpoint?
Leaping down into the nearest alleyway had Meissa darting out to catch a glimpse of a reindeer rushing by her - in pursuit of something. Well, this could be entertaining. Meissa began to follow at the same pace that the reindeer was going. She knew that whatever had caused the reindeer to charge was up ahead and she tried to shout a warning. At least she could do that and hopefully not draw too much attention to herself.

There was someone else approaching. An Order aura, but Cleeia had very mixed experiences with the other side, so maybe he could get this person to help him. Maybe it would be Helena and he'd have an easy in. Maybe it would be someone else entirely.
...It couldn't be Michel or Amsvartnir, the aura wasn't strong enough, and it didn't feel like a Knight anyway. So! Helena! Hopefully!
He watched the reindeer charge past his alley, and there was someone after it, so he ducked out, heart racing.
"Please," he said, breathing heavily, "you have to help me chase that thing off, it's gonna--" Hoofbeats, coming closer.
"Do you have magic that might damage it? Or scare it? Or do you need ideas, because hi, I'm Cleeia of Inspiration, my magic will give you ideas if you need them to figure out how to make that thing go away!"

Chaos aura. Long hair. If she had had a free moment to voice her opinion on the matter at hand she might have uttered a very audible, "s**t." But that expletive never made it past her lips. She stared at the chaos senshi and thought of the very first encounter she'd had with one of his kind before. That battle had not ended well for her. Taking a step back she almost turned and bolted the way that she had come. Except as she turned around she caught sight of the reindeer as it stopped, turned around and headed back towards where she was standing. Shoving Cleeia deeper into the alley Meissa frowned. She had an idea on what she could do. Considering this was a real live animal, or at least she got the impression that it was, her magic would be effective at pushing it away from attacking.
Her gaze narrowed for a moment at the narrow confines of the alley that they were in before cringing. It wasn't ideal but if she could draw in Cleeia to actively participate - a seemingly mad reindeer could be chased away. "I'm not exactly the most trusting person here but I'm thinking my magic can at least distract the reindeer long enough for you to grab something to drive it away with - broom, garbage can lid - you know - things like that. I'll give you the opening needed but you have to act fast."
Meissa stepped to Cleeia's side, putting faith that her explanation was enough and that she wouldn't be ambushed again. Moving into a closer position Meissa loosed her magic upon the reindeer that had lowered its horns in preparation for a charge, "Meissa's Silent Stalker!" flowed from her lips and flushed with success she watched as her magic took the shape of a circling illusionary bobcat. She knew what it could do and she only hoped that the reindeer would be fully affected. Being a prey animal it would be hard not to be distracted by a predator. If she needed to help Cleeia drive the reindeer away afterwards then she would do so. She grabbed a discarded glass bottle and tested the heft before glancing to Cleeia and signalled him to find something to attack with. During the duration of the illusion the target of the attack will feel like cornered prey being stalked by a predator. They could experience fear, anxiety and maybe even the need to flee. It takes attention away from Meissa and could maybe leave the target open to being attacked. It's a distraction technique at the most. The enemy has to be inside a nine foot radius for the feeling of prey to be most effective. If Meissa is struck during the duration of the attack the illusion will end abruptly.

Oh, good, she was helping. That was so much better than Cleeia had feared. Mostly because he had feared being abandoned to the whims of the beastie. But she seemed on point about the whole thing, and that made him feel much better.
He scrabbled around for something to attack with, finally scooping up a broken piece of wood that would make for a good bludgeon, but he didn't have to use it. The reindeer seemed quite affected by the Senshi's magic, and Cleeia could guess why--he could see a big cat stalking around the thing, and the reindeer huffed in obvious fear.
And then it turned, and bolted in the opposite direction, hoofbeats echoing into the night.
Cleeia let out a heavy breath, and dropped his wooden piece.
"Thanks," he said, a little shakily. "I thought I was a total goner. You're a lifesaver."

Guess that all was needed was a hefty dose of fear. She didn't even get a chance to throw the bottle she had been holding just in case as the reindeer turned around and bolted. Hoof beats faded into the distance and Meissa warily eyed the senshi that she had just apparently saved, along with herself. Training would have told her to beat a retreat but her training also would have told her to leave the chaos senshi resigned to be trampled/attacked by a seemingly mad animal.
Figuring the least she could do was momentarily extend her trust that she'd not be attacked she dropped the bottle she was holding and merely nodded in response to the thanks that was directed at her. She did have questions about the situation but she remained silent. "I don't think I'm quite that good, but you are welcome. Any reason why it was chasing you in the first place?"
And just because it was now second nature she frowned, "I'm just hoping this isn't some sort of trick. Had enough of those for a while."

"I really wish I knew why," Cleeia admitted. "I did probably piss it off a couple days ago? I ran into it while I was out with another officer? But I didn't do anything then, it just attacked us for no reason."
He sighed, unhappily. "Anyway, I know we're on opposite sides, but I don't want to fight you, so....how about I just say thanks again and we part ways?"
He really did not have it in him to deal with a fight right then. Not with how hard he was still breathing, or how fear adrenaline was just starting to leave and leave him tired and woozy.

Seeing that Cleeia was in no shape or form to attack her, Meissa let down her defensive guard before folding her arms across her bare chest before simply nodding. "Those are acceptable terms. Glad I was able to lend a hand, even if it goes against what I've been taught to do. Sucks that the reindeer seems to have a yen for chasing you. Better watch out for yourself over the next few days. Pretty sure my presence can't be guaranteed to save you again."
Meissa let her arms fall to the side to show that it was mere bravado that had her speaking that way before she eyed the rooftop above. She didn't feel like moving at the moment but seeing the shape Cleeia was still in she would allow him to leave at his own leisure. "Promise me that you'll keep your guard up next time. Not all order senshi are alike."
With that warning given Meissa decided that she'd had enough excitement for the night and bolted out of the alley. She'd find a place to power down before heading back towards home.
