Prompt 2 (Paint the Night Sky): Destiny City has already had its fair share of snowfall but for the past week it’s just been constant. There hasn’t been a clear sky in days, and even when it’s not snowing it’s still too cloudy to see anything. Finally, one night, the clouds have finally thinned--only to reveal something more surprising than the suddenly good weather. A glorious display of colorful light dances over Destiny City. Auroras are uncommon in this area, but it’s something unique to see. Especially because it almost seems like the colors blend like watercolors, and look like they’re deliberately weaving around each other.
Sylvite had headed back, and the sky was still… Doing crazy s**t. Couldn't say if he ate something bad, or walked into someone's seriously potent weed cloud, or stuck his tongue on an acid tab when he fell in a pile of snow. He was reasonably sure these sorts of aurora things only happened at the poles, and he was reasonably sure they weren't suddenly mass teleported to the poles, but he reminded himself that anything could happen! He was wearing an outfit made out of mystery skin, after all!
Didn't seem like anything got riled up by the watercolors in the sky, so Adonis took the quiet moment to kick some snow off the lip of a roof and had himself a seat. Hell, he even let his legs dangle — might as well get decadent about it — since he wasn't about to move for a hot minute. Sure, if he saw anyone wander his way, he'd drain them until he could make snow angels with their unconscious bodies (and maybe lift some cash), but then he'd be on his way. Can't take breaks forever.
All that doing nothing got him wondering: was this wild sky lightshow something to do with those aliens? When they fought that night, something exploded across the sky, and it looked kinda similar.
Well. No, actually, it didn't look similar at all, but he wanted to tell himself to think it was similar. Because telling himself that aliens were why the sky looked funky was better than having no explanation at all.

Snow was pretty when it was off the roads and sidewalks, Storm had decided. It was beautiful as it fell, blanketing the city in white. The way ice hung off trees made them look like crystalline creations at times. Until the ice got too heavy, and the branches broke, and took down power lines in areas where they weren't installed underground.
She didn't understand why humans constructed their power grids in this fashion. It was so clearly a risk any time when even heavy winds came into an area...
A click of her tongue was considerably louder than she'd meant it to come out as she trudged down the sidewalk, mindful of slush and snow not properly cleaned off the path. The chill in the air made her pull her hood down lower over her face, eyes to the ground with a grump. She'd gone out to the movies, finding it fascinating the number of different stories--and qualities of them--that humans created in such a media. Though after seeing this about a bunch of singing animals... yeah, she definitely was less of a fan of their animated variety thus far.
Her ComTech beeped, and she paused, looking down at the screen of the watch. A simple alert, but one that made her hackles rise. Chaos energy signature detected, it read. Storm mumbled curses, already picking up that rather bad habit from the more interesting movies she'd seen--ones with a lot of fighting, and explosions, and... yeah. Not something she'd ever have seen back home. Certainly more up her alley than singing animals.
It was easy to slip between some buildings and out of view of anyone else wandering by. Hitting the screen of her ComTech, the image of Storm slid away, the Cadet regaining her place. Pale blue fingers tucked vivid red hair behind pointed ears, trying to get her bangs out of her eyes. They slid back out as she jumped up and heaved herself onto the ledge of a building, much to her annoyance.
She couldn't sense Chaos agents or White Moon people like they all could, but her ComTech could fill in the gaps. Her blaster rested at her hip, a comforting weight as she began to stalk along the rooftops.
Up here though... her eyes snagged on the lights that swayed through the sky. For a moment, she paused, brows furrowing as she took in the twisting waves of colors. Holding up her arm, she waited for her ComTech to take a scan. Aurora, it read back, along with subsequent information on what caused them. Though that wasn't a common phenomenon this low in the hemisphere. Her lips pursed. Was this something they should be concerned about..? She shelved it for the moment, figuring she could bring it up to the Commodore later.
The more immediate problem at hand was the source of that Chaotic energy signature.
Her boots crunched now and then against snow that still sat on rooftops of well insulated buildings, padded softly against concrete. The device lead her on towards the direction the energy was coming from--it wasn't moving, which surprised her. Someone waiting for... what, a target to ambush? Being lazy? Watching the sky? Her gaze did glance up at that thought, for a moment considering she wouldn't blame them if it was the latter.
Which. Probably was the case, she figured, when she finally spotted the likely source her ComTech was detecting. Wasn't anyone else up here on the rooftops in a weird, and... creepy looking uniform. Her jaw tensed, and the Cadet thought extremely little about pulling her blaster. It felt comforting in her hands as she gripped it, taking a steadying breath before rising the weapon. Finding the figure in her sights, there was a slight nag in the back of her mind that she wasn't positive it was a Negaverse senshi but...
She also wasn't seeing any other signatures reading out on her ComTech. And no one else was dressed weird as hell around here.
So. Daesva exhaled. And fired.

Adonis was about ready to call it quits on break time — turns out the snow got too powerful this time of year, and even as a Super Senshi, Adonis was quick to go numb — but he hadn't the chance for that before someone cut it short for him. He sighed to himself, leaned forward to start getting up, felt his shoulder sear like someone concentrated the sun onto it.
First came a hiss as he sucked a breath through his teeth, then he startled back a touch as he looked about, then looked at his shoulder. Some bright light shot out of somewhere and left his shoulder pink and raw. But how was that supposed to happen when there wasn't another senshi —
Adonis was quick to scramble to his feet, to look for anyone who might hold a grudge against one lonesome, defenseless, solitary Negaverse senshi… But found a whole lot of snow. No auras as far as he could feel. No magic callsigns prefacing another blast of energy.
Adonis crouched back down and scuttled his way behind a bulky HVAC unit to glance over his shoulder. It was still attached, but he felt it complain every time he rotated his arm around. And he still didn't feel anyone! What gives?
Adonis called out over the lip of the unit. "I know I'm a pretty target, but could you take that somewhere else? I know a few kids in white you could practice on, even. Bonus points if you shoot 'em in the eyes."
He would rather this wasn't a whole a** affair. Too bad it felt like instant karma for taking a break.
